We've gotten take-out from here but we finally dined-in for the first time! I felt special when they acknowledge that hehe plus you might get a little something possibly a little sweet. For parking, there is limited spots immediately in front of the restaurant, but there's a big lot right across which we went to first anywho! Walking in, there's a little bar to the left and the hosts are super nice. When guided to the table, the narrow area of seating lol people just be looking so I feel like they should paint it red on the floor so you're always like doing a runway walk...but I'm SO glad we didn't get seated there because it felt squishy. We got seated by a more open area and had a view of the playground which looks so fun for the littles!!! The menus are so clean, they weren't sticky like you might receive one at a more "bleh" breakfast place, you know it was just better here . They had a specials menu which basically caught our eye and mainly ordered off of that. Our server Erica was super duper nice, friendly, professional, and respectful! I didn't take any pictures of the place inside oopsies but mainly because I didn't want to invade anyone's privacy but it was nice seeing the others dine in there too like a little grandma meet up happening. Ordered: * (drink) raspberry peach palmer 7/10 * (summer 2026 special) champagne lobster omelet - not my meal just had a bite but with my taste buds it was too seafoody for me in the early morning but s/o loved it so probably 8.5/10? * (brunch speciality) hash brown Benedict with a add-on of the summer 2026 special raspberry white chocolate pancakes // okay writing this I realized I don't think I got any white chocolate in any of my bites or my s/o took it all. I loved the poached eggs on the Benedict were basically to perfection. It was so satisfying slicing through those eggs but I almost didn't want to break them definitely had a nice bounce lol. I really wish I could see how they packed the hash brown into those balls with the filling delish. I got the country potatoes as my choice I loved the little crispy bits they're my fave and like perfect amount of salt not too little not too much. We were given extra normal syrup for the pancakes and then adding the normal syrup made it seem like normal pancakes. And then clumps of like maybe brown sugar idk were just so hard to cut through... but it was so nice and soft, nice stack of whipped cream. 9/10 * the extra - Beignets. It comes with an orange marmalade jam I guess. It was a nice treat for sure! I guess I just wasn't craving it or in the mood. But it warms the soul, it felt like it just warmed me up!! Could not finish but wish we did bring it home haha wah. wasn't really wowed by the marmalade but it was still good I think if I had a coffee it'd be soooo much better so I need to order a coffee next time for sure 6/10 I can't wait to come back again. The coffees others ordered look SO good... defs needs to try one next time. Bathrooms - only one for each gender I believe and locked after once user. There were occasionally a fly in sight but common with the opened and closed doorways from both sides. Wait - none as well walked-in just a little under an hour after opening on a Thursday Seating - there are a lot of extra seating outside, I'd see how if you had like 6-10 year olds you could let them out and just play on the playground while you wait haha. In the morning the outdoor seating is mainly shaded and there are a few trees. There's a mix of booths and just tables. The walkway from the front where hostess is towards the back open area seating is kinda narrow but includes seating as well but makes it really cozy like you're in a diner if you get seated in the middle walkway I guess but I am just glad we didn't get seated there. Really enjoyed breakfast here! I ordered the Eggs Benedict with a orange juice and they were good. The sauce in top was delicious and everything tasted fresh. I also tried the Cinnamon Roll French Toast and it was really tasty, but a little too sweet for me personally. My friend got an omelet and she really like it. What went well? Everything! From the warm greeting at the hostess stand to the staff. Top notch! They were busy as heck and no one could tell, everyone all smiles. Did sit outside in and patio area and its probably the last day until the fall looking at the weather will be able to do that. Son had the BLTA and bragged on how delicious is was. He had a side of the potatoes and were very tasty as well. I did the spring special which was a waffle with goat cheese cream cheese, strawberries, white chocolate chips and crunchy brown sugar. Busy location at 1pm on a Sunday but we expected that. Quoted 45 minute wait. Was closer to 15 minutes. Nice! The restaurant is busy and a little noisy but comfortable and well decorated. Great addition to South Park Meadows. I ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs, sausage, loaded grits, and a short stack of bourbon street pancakes. The pancakes were perfect. Great taste and temperature. They are a little heavier than expected but tender and delicious. The loaded grits had great flavor and were just a little cooler than desired. Small complaint is the green onions weren't prepped recently -- they were dried out. Only impacted the presentation. The biscuits and gravy had great flavor but we're barely warm. Wow, I absolutely loved this place! From start to finish, the entire experience was wonderful. Our server was a lovely young lady with the biggest, warmest smile, which made us feel so welcome. We arrived at the perfect time because shortly after, it became quite busy--it's clearly a popular spot in a bustling shopping center. The food was delicious! Cute spot inside southpark meadows the place looks small from the outside but they've done a great job utilizing the space. The outdoor space had a playground for kids and an expansive patio. We sat inside and although the space is smaller it didn't feel cramped for a table of 5. The service was good and the waitress was friendly. Our food came out hot and ready. I got the lemon blueberry pancakes with goat cheese. They were solid pancakes but I wanted more lemon and blueberry in the pancake. The whipped cream was solid pancakes delicious. The bottom half of the biscuit was overcooked and hard on the bottom. The gravy was very bland...didn't have much flavor at all. The fried eggs were overcooked around the edges. The sausage patties were okay, at least they had some flavor. The pancakes were good, probably the best part of the meal. The wait wasn't long to be seated at our booth. The waitress came over right away to bring the menus and to take our drink orders. She brought our drinks and took our orders. This is where the service starts to go down hill. Our food came about 47 minutes after we placed our order. We had to flag our waitress down several times to get our drinks refilled. She never came back to our booth to see if we needed anything. Had to even flag her down to get our check. The cafe seemed to be clean. The area that we were seated in was a little claustrophobic because we were in a hallway type area. It does have an outside patio that has access to a playground for the kiddos. My first time here and it will probably be my last time here. read more

Note: We did go on Valentine's Day. Holy cow that was a choice it was BUSY, but the staff kept up mostly. The service was a little slow and it was hard to get drink refills, but it was a holiday so idk how it would be on a normal day. The inside is also naturally tight, so not my favorite seating arrangement as someone who prefers room around my chair. However, the food!!!! Gouda grits is actually one of my new favorite things ever. I definitely would go back just for those they were so good. Everyone here was so kind and attentive! Jaxton helped us this morning and he was great! I also feel like my toddler was very welcomed as well and that's something that always makes my day. I brought a friend here for a birthday brunch. We drove past mini breakfast places in between New Braunfels and San Marcos and ended up here. We were seated quickly and our waiter was good. I don't remember his name, but he was of Hispanic descent and had a ponytail in his hair. We were seated in a corner that was pretty crowded. There was a patron at the table right next to us who had one of her legs propped up to keep it elevated and rested while she ate. Her walker was right behind her so my friend and I were kind of crammed in a tiny two seater table in the corner. We placed our orders and the food came up fairly quickly. I ordered the strawberry poundcake French toast as well as an omelette with a side of hashbrowns. My friend ordered blueberry pancakes with eggs and bacon. The omelette wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was good and the strawberry pound cake. French toast was delicious. I was shocked at it really actually being poundcake they made into French toast. The potatoes were actually really good--but it would've hit just a bit better with some chips on the side. I came here for brunch recently with my mom and it's an overwhelming YES YES YES!! It was really crowded on Saturday morning when we went but it was worth the wait (which was only about 25-30 mins, not bad). The hosts were very kind and attentive and even remembered my name when I came back after the wait. Our waitress Holly was also really sweet and even though the place was bustling our drinks and food came out quick. I got the chocolate pistachio matcha (tasted like a Dubai chocolate milk tea tbh, I enjoyed it). They have a deal where you can add on 2 pancakes to an entree for $5 more so my mom got the sunrise spinach scrambler with a side of two bourbon street pancakes. I had the lobster & Brie omelet because it sounded unique, with a side of the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. They also come with either potatoes or grits; I had potatoes and my mom had grits. We both ate about half of everything and were stuffed, we took the rest home and it reheated super well! Spent about $65 on everything including tax and tip for both of us? Not bad at all!!! Our family tried this place for breakfast and enjoyed it all. The service was fast and friendly. We went pretty early so not crowded on a Saturday. My daughter brought her own cereal so we just ordered milk and they brought her a spoon and bowl. My son had the chicken and waffles and was in heaven. My second son had chocolate chip pancakes which really meant regular pancakes with a few chocolate chips on top. He at first protested then ate them all. Solid 4* experience on our first visit to Another Broken Yolk Cafe. We joined their loyalty program so we enjoyed a complimentary order of beignets! They were not traditional beignets but they were warm and fresh and very good! We rolled into Another Broken Egg at the criminally early hour of 8:00 AM on a Sunday, aka the brunch witching hour -- too early for chaos, just in time for coffee and grace. And let me tell you... this place delivered both. First off, the vibe? Warm, welcoming, and already caffeinated. Bless. The staff was fully awake, fully present, and fully committed to giving us a good experience without hovering like a retail associate in a perfume aisle. Our server -- whose name I regret not getting and will now refer to as "The Brunch Whisperer" -- was absolute perfection. Funny, kind, and right on time with everything. Now, let's talk food: Biscuits & Gravy: The biscuits? Whew. Fluffy little clouds of Southern love that made me want to write a thank-you note to my taste buds. Hot, soft, and exactly how a biscuit should arrive at the table. The gravy? Solid. Peppery, comforting, and no weird gelatinous vibes (you know what I mean). Grits: Meh. They were there. But there was this strange "unfiltered tap water meets boiled pennies" aftertaste that made me tap out after two bites. Not horrible, just... weird. Sausage: I wanted porky, herby, savory goodness. I got "sad tiny smashburger." It tasted like someone used a burger press on ground beef and hoped for the best. Hard pass. I'll try the bacon next time. Coffee: Decent. Not life-changing, but they give you a variety of creamers at the table like grown adults who understand choice and caffeine. Bonus points. Will I come back? Absolutely. There's more on the menu I want to try -- and frankly, I need to see if the sausage was just having an off day or if it's truly in its flop era. Come early. Ask for the brunch whisperer server. I cannot understand why everyone gives this place such a great review because my experience today was horrible. I ordered the famous shrimp and grits and they were so inedible I had to send it back, they were so watery that it was not a bowl of grits it was a bowl of soupy soup. I'm assuming there was some shrimp in it but everything just sunk to the bottom. So I sent that back got the bacon and tomato eggs benedict which came out cold and the English muffin was so soggy and tough I couldn't even hardly cut it with a knife. My brother got the chicken BLT sandwich and he was very unimpressed and neither one of us could eat the potatoes because they were cold and tasted like grease and were overcooked. And I was not the only one complaining the table next to me sent their food back and couple on the other side was complaining how tasteless their food was and bland, who then covered it in Tabasco to be able to eat it. And then they charged me for the shrimp and grits I sent back and the second meal they brought out for me. I caught it as I was signing the bill. It was such a disappointing experience that I will never return as this place is highly overrated and obviously it was just filled with a bunch of yuppies who think it's good because they don't know any better. read more

There is also a bar style seating available, which might be a faster in and out. The shrimp and grits were a must try based on numerous recommendations from others when visiting down south. I can say it was a great experience with the flavors bursting abound and more than enough to be full when done. The breakfast combos are one of the best deals going! The combos for $11.99 are unbelievable. The option we chose was the crab cake and jambalaya. Do this for sure, if you don't mind a little spice. First off, let me say that our server Sebastian was awesome. The reason why this was so bad it was a food. I ordered the crab cake Benedict as soon as I've bit into it I felt cold and soggy. It did not taste right and it was so fishy smelling. I've had that before many times and never had that experience. The flavor was lacking. It just didn't taste right. I also ordered the beignets which were OK, but that orange marmalade does not compliment it. My friend shared her breakfast sandwich that has like a focaccia bread which was OK. They are very busy so be patient but when we were in line checking in never once did they ask us if patio was OK and they still seated us out there not even under the shade so we had the sun beating on our face. We had another table that was sitting next to us and they also kept trying to scoot the chairs into the shade.
