Cozy spot for breakfast with amazing service and delicious food! As soon as we approached the door someone opened it to greet us. Then the hostess and a server walking by cheerfully greeted us. Within the first few seconds of walking in we felt welcomed and knew service would be great! Holly was our server, she was personable and delightful! We ordered the skinny omelette and the sunrise spinach scrambler, plating was beautiful and food was delicious. Another Broken Egg is another broken concept in Austin, TX on the breakfast scene. I had high expectations for this new joint in the South location. The restaurant was extremely packed/crowded and hard to navigate to your seats. The chairs and tables were bumper to bumper. I would say you had more space to eat at Waffle House then here. We had to constantly move the tables and seats when someone passed was becoming unbearable. We were only a 2 top, but had to merged with 2 other groups so that we can make room for other guest or servers to move around. We ordered our drinks (Vanilla Cold Brews) and it took 40 mins. I had to wave down the waitress to ask for Waters while we waited. After the waters, we waited more time, stating the Bar was backed up. I thought it was strange but my friend kept saying, "I bet the food is good considering how pack like rats we are and the long wait times." I wish the food was decent. It wasn't anything to write back home. The potatoes were just cooked potatoes, the eggs were just eggs, the bacon was bacon. The chicken and waffles was just that. We sat here for 2 1/2 hrs for breakfast. The only thing I enjoyed was the Vanilla Cold Brew and I added just a little sugar to sweeten to my liking. Overall, our server was super sweet. It's nothing the server could had did about the restaurant's table placements. I do recommend the owner, remove a few tables and make a clear safe walk space. read more

Be prepared for a long wait . 40 minutes at 11:00 a.m. on Friday , 3 hours on weekends. The service people are trying their hardest and are very polite but it's just overcrowded. Of course the reason is the food is really good! All of it. However that gives the ambience noise. And then to add to that they have the music too loud so you can't hear anybody at the table. To the owners / managers: put more tables in , turn down the music and keep serving that great food. read more

One of my favorite breakfast spots, the food is pretty amazing in my photos. I have kids pancakes and a tiramisu French toast along with a cinnamon roll French toast! They never disappoint. The service is amazing at each location. I've been to honestly try anything on the menu and I promise it'll be good. Super excited that they made more locations down south! I have never been one to love eggs but this place has changed my opinion and perspective, I ordered the Country power bowl and it tasted like heaven, the restaurant is a little small especially in the waiting area which only has enough room for 2-3 family's! The service was excellent but we were sat right next to the ordering station for the servers and all we could hear is them gossiping and complaining! Let me first start by saying the staff and service were attentive and friendly. They seem to have a great serving culture at this location. Here is why I gave a low star rating. Food quality for the price was really disappointing. The omelette seemed pre-made and warmed up. The internal contents of the omelette seemed to have been made the day before as the sausage was chewy. The omelette broke during the process of making it and they filled the breaks with extra cheese, almost Like tile grout, which made for a greasy omelette especially when you consider the omelette was microwaved to get the cheese to melt. The biscuit was also very dry and flavorless. The last thing that was upsetting was that the server really talked up the breakfast potatoes. These are frozen potato nubs that are probably right from HEBs frozen food aisle. All of this plus coffee was $20 even before tip. They may have other good breakfast entrees, but I was very disappointed in the food portion of my experience there. read more

The online wait list is pointless. Joined Mother's Day morning and it was 1hr 50 min wait. No problem. After an hour, our wait time wasn't going down, so I called to get an estimated wait time and was told that even though I joined the online wait list, I need to come in to check in to start the clock. Popped in here Friday morning with my two daughters who had a day off from school. We came here because we saw a review about vegetarian and gluten free options. We were welcomed by a friendly host and sat in a cozy and inviting booth. The decor and atmosphere was clean and cozy. The food was delicious! The Bourbon St. pancakes were scrumptious! The kids chocolate chip pancakes were adorable and yummy. The reason for the generous 1 star review was for the service. As soon as we sat down we were expected to order immediately and it was our first time here. Being vegetarian the only request we made was to omit the bacon and the server from that point on... went from warm and friendly to ice Queen. She would not make eye contact, she was hostile, I don't think she was having a bad day because she was schmoozing with the other tables and all giggles and smiles with them but with us it was very cold, neglectful, and disappointing service. 5 minutes into eating our food, she slammed the check on the table. She didn't even give me a chance to order food to go for my husband she wouldn't speak to me, didn't bother to ask if I wanted water. It was very evident that we were not welcomed here. The food was amazing! but the evil eye from our server and forced rushed service made me feel like we should never step foot in here again. I try to set a good example for my daughters and complimented her earrings, tried to be nice. She silently and angrily started to clear the table while my kids were in the restroom and a syrup filled fork flew off one of the plates and into the booth and I placed it back on the table. I left her a 20% tip because I'm kind. I don't think the service is bad here I saw plenty of friendly servers.I just think our server Holly had some sort of personal problem towards me and my kids. I don't know if it's because I look Jewish or my kids are half black or the fact that we don't eat meat. But that combination of factors triggered this lady into being rude and dismissive and we are just here to enjoy a lovely breakfast.Instead of Southern Hospitality I felt Southern Discrimination.
