Stumbled across this place walking downtown and I love me a good coffee place, so I gave it a try. It did not dissapoint. I tried their special a blueberry crisp with 1/2 moonmilk cold. Super good. So good I went back the next day and tried a drip and I walked out with two bags of beans to bring back home to Cali. read more

I've been to this location many times, and the drinks are always delicious! However, I've never really been able to see the area where the drinks are made since our orders are usually ready pretty quickly. Unfortunately, this time I did, and I was very disappointed by what I saw. One employee was eating behind the line where drinks were being prepared, touched her face, and then proceeded to make drinks without washing her hands. Another employee was handing out a drink and accidentally dipped her hand into a guest's drink. To top it off, one of the tools used to mix the drinks was quickly wiped with what appeared to be a dirty rag and then immediately used to mix the next drink without being properly washed or sanitized. This is a serious cross-contamination concern. The dining room was also very dirty, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. I really hope management sees this review and addresses these issues immediately. I've always enjoyed coming to this location, but what I witnessed today was extremely unsanitary and concerning, especially for a business handling food and beverages. read more

This coffee shop continues to be one of my all time faves. Even after years gone by. I first had their coffee in 2019, and now every time I come to Texas I try to stop in. This time it was great, per usual. The coffee itself is boasted to be wood fired as the roasting method, and what I also love is their proprietary creamer called "moon juice". It's creamy and sweet and pairs very nicely with their coffee. This time I actually bought a bottle of the moon juice and will attempt to bring it home with me. For my drink, I ordered a triple moon shaker, which i was told by barista is that it's meant to be more coffee forward vs sweet. It's 3 shots espresso and moon milk, It was perfect. I also had a small breakfast burrito and a pop tart looking pastry. I liked everything. This Buda location is cute, next to an antique shop and some other local shops I didn't check out due to time constraints. Staff was friendly and speedy, it was a busy Saturday morning when I arrived. I didn't wait long and was able to enjoy my coffee on the patio seating out front and go about the rest of my day :) read more

Delicious lattes here! One of the gems in Buda. I love the half moon lattes as it's not too sweet. They're known for their moon milk in their lattes and it's the best part. We sometimes purchase the moon milk on its own from them and then use it with our espresso we make at home (best value for tasty coffee) It's small cafe but has outdoor and indoor seating. Parking is a little tricky but some in front of the cafe or a bigger lot across the street: Service is good. read more

Was first introduced to Summer Moon Coffee a few years ago and loved the Quarter Moon Latte. Just the perfect amount of sugar for a great tasting coffee. The place in Buda is clean and the staff are friendly. Looks like Summer Moon is going to be a must visit on my Texas trips. read more

Of course I had to stop at a coffee shop in Texas. Went here in April for a quick pick me up. I couldn't figure out what I wanted so I had to look at their menu online. I finally found what I was looking for. They had a lavender drink so it's a must for me ( I always look for this flavor first). I ordered the iced blue moon latte. My mom ordered their hot chocolate drink. Overall, we enjoyed what we ordered. Service here was nice and friendly. read more

The service here is TERRIBLE. The people who work here NEVER greet you when you walk in and are so rude when taking your order. They don't say thank you, they don't respond when you say thank you. They just stand there asking you, what else? What else? don't even give you eye contact and then don't say have a nice day. I had to say thank you the girl twice in order for her to respond back. ABSOLUTELY HATE coming to this location. Whoever the manger is at the location should really think of some customer service training, because your staff here lacks it very much. Kills the experience every time. read more

I love this place. The service is always great. I've never waited longer than a few minutes for my coffee and pastry (when I get one). There's seating indoors and outdoors, which is nice! It's nestled between a couple cute shops. Great location. Plenty of free parking. The cinnamon roll knots and their homemade pop tarts are amazing! read more

Came here after an early morning walk with a friend. It's on Buda's main street so the parking in front of the building was a bit difficult when leaving but that's just what it is for the area. The shop itself is small with a modern feel. It's clean and functional. A typical coffee shop with typical fare (pastries mostly). We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy with people constantly coming and going. Even with that, the staff were friendly and attentive. The customer volume never changed their quality of service. They were even sure to clean the tables as customers were leaving. We sat for a while and were never rushed to leave to make room for other patrons. Even though I got a basic mocha, it was good and the service was fast. I think the pricing here is fair. It was about $6 for a normal (med) sized coffee. I'd come back here after another walk. Maybe even making that a tradition! read more

Iced Oatmilk Latte with 1/4 Moonmilk - Delicious! Moonmilk is just sweet cream for the record. It was really yummy. Wild Berry Poptart - also delicious! The sweetness was a little overwhelming, but good if you're in the mood for that/half a bitter drink. The ambiance of the cafe is really nice. The service was good! They got busy and forgot my poptart which was a rip. read more

My wife and I wanted a good cup of coffee and decided to try Buda. Summer moon was our choice. We live in South Austin, so it only took about 15 minutes to get there. We'll go back again. read more

I ordered a moon milk latte per the workers suggestion and it was so good! I was thankful for their advice and found my drink to be delicious. I did come to work as they have several tables inside however it was packed given it was a Sunday so it was a bit to loud to work. Definitely recommend for a good coffee drink. read more

Coffee was nice and strong. Pastries were much better than regular coffee shops, even better than good places like Paris Baguette

Been a couple times and always had great service and their coffees are wonderful also a nice place to visit with a friend.

I will always recommend summer moon. they are consistent at every location that i've been to. Alamo Ranch, Downtown San Antonio and Buda haven't let me down. I like to get a quarter moon hot, a lemon drop when it's in season and the kids enjoy a warmed up chocolate muffin in the mornings on the way to school. read more

Austin is a melting pot of cultures, ideas, interests and tastes thus it would be fair some of these sentiments spill over to the outlying communities. So, when I meandered on mainstreet in Buda I saw a familiar friend, Summermoon coffee. While parking can sometimes be a challenge, I've never had to park more than 50 yards from their wonderful establishment. Walking up to the facility from the quaint street view one's eyes are drawn to the simplistic and rustic building adorned by the frugal plastic seating outside. It's a warm vibe, something the mind's eye paints when thinking of a lazy day at a coffee shop. The inside is a mishmash of furniture dark for most of the tones in the tables, floors, while the seating is a plethora of seats and the walls are white and turquois; all anchored and rightfully so by the ordering counter. The kitchen area buzzes with barista's flying around, grinding beans to make coffee to order. There are things other than coffee to order. Swag like Summermoon shirts, bags, and get this coffee mugs! Another option are pastries and more specifically the homemade pop tarts. Trust me when I say, get a mixed berry pop tart, you'll thank me later. It bursts with flavor, the crust is flaky and every bite is better than the last. Also try the kombucha as a side treat. To those who are uninitiated it's a very healthy fermented and effervescent tea which can be either sour or tart, depending on how you taste beverages with various flavors being available. My favorite happens to be the basil honey ginger. But lets get on to the star of the show, coffee, shall we? Summermoon is different in that they roast their beans with a wood fire and believe me you can really taste it, especially when the closer to black you get it. I will say I'm not a cold coffee drinker as when coffee is cold, I'm not drinking it. So, I have a mental block but when it's hot I'm in heaven. My first suggestion is the "quarter" mocha moon latte. The quarter represents the "moon milk" that's added which is wonderful but, again I like my coffee on the darker side. The flavors are deep you can almost be whisked away to sitting by a fire sipping a good cup of Jo with hints of chocolate. The moon milk offers a nice sweetener while the dairy rounds out the flavor. My next favorite is the Summer Moon Latte, their signature latte. It's very smooth and while not having the complex flavor profile as the mocha, it stands out by being a lot more even experience. Summermoon offers a locally owned and operated experience which is second to none. What is key to note that when you visit them, you're not supporting some company in the north west, but your neighbors whom you might run into on occasion. Also the staff at all locations are friendly and warm as I spend time talking with anyone who looks bored (yes I'm a chatter). But more than anything when you visit Summermoon, you're getting a great cup of coffee that surpasses other options. read more

Summer Moon Coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Buda, Texas

I ordered the Summer Moon w/soy milk and OMG it was delicious. Tasted like melted ice cream or birthday cake. Was not sweet or bitter at all. I would definitely come back and try out their other coffees on the menu. Although, I wish they had a better system as to where the cashier would call out "next in line" - with that being said, my friends and I thought wow what a line when we entered and we were standing behind other customers thinking they were about to order but NO they were in line waiting for their drinks (haha). Oh well. read more

Staff was rude Used to like this place but no customer service. Expect a tip when you pay before you have even received or tasted your coffee. They placed our coffee at the pickup window and when I want to pick it up they refused to make eye contact so I could ask for sweetener. When finally they did ask me what I wanted, the lady basically threw it under the window at me. Then proceeded to ignore me again as I patiently waited for her to acknowledge me again so I could ask for a stirrer. I have given the two five star reviews before but after this visit I will go elsewhere next time. read more

This location was super cute and it comes off with a mom & pop coffee shop vibe. The interior is really adorable. The stand out here is the moon milk, a proprietary milk blend that is in their Summer moon or Winter moon coffee drinks. I don't know what's in it, but it's so incredible! It's a Texas secret. If you're in the area you must come here for coffee. Their coffee is fire roasted, but the moon milk is really the star of the show. Visited this morning. LOVE SummerMoon but a little disappointed in this mornings service. I'm glad that the girls are so sweet but for the amount of them there they were very slow on service and they made the wrong drink for my husband so he was upset. Absolutely loved this place! It was my first time in Texas, and I love visiting coffee shops, so when Summer Moon Coffee came up on Yelp, I had to try it! What drew me in was the promise of their proprietary "moon milk," which I can't try anywhere else. I got the mocha moon with quarter moon milk, as previous reviewers recommended to start with a quarter amount of moon milk. I'm glad I listened! The moon milk already had sweetness to it, so adding mocha to it would've been overtly sweet if I went with more than a quarter moon milk. I also loved the decor, and how the tables were like repurposed sewing tables! The light fixtures were covered with upside down metal egg baskets. Overall, very cute place, and very unique lattes! read more

The coffee is consistently delicious here whether drip, espresso or a latte. The folks here care about getting it right! I love the flavor Quarter Moon latte, but it's a little too sweet for me. The server made suggestions and modified it for me. Then had me try it and added more coffee when I still found it too sweet. It turned out wonderfully! They also have gf donuts and cinnamon rolls if you get there early enough! Hopefully, you're not a little "bi$!h" like me when it comes to coffee, but if you are this is your place. read more

How is any business as slow as this one is still in business? Soooooo slooooow. The facility is nice and clean, though. Still, soooo sloooow. Makes me glad that I didn't tip.
