South Austin's coffee scene is really growing, and I'm so happy this little truck joined the Way Back South Austin food truck area. The set up is nice with picnic tables and a playground. I ordered a small cold brew which came out to $5.63, which seems pricey for the size. It was just okay. The cold brew wasn't very smooth and it tasted a little sour, so I suggest adding a syrup. I think I'll come back to the food park though. There's a nice variety of cuisines to choose from. And parking is plentiful. read more

South ATX has an abundance of coffee shops you can visit but don't skip Doxa Coffee Roasters! Only giving this a 4 star because I wanted a pour over and the barista stated that their pour over grinder wasn't working. Ensuring all equipment is operational is key to ensuring that everyone can enjoy what they want. Not being from south ATX I was reallyyyyy looking forward to having a pour over from Doxa I will say the Americano I ordered instead wasn't terrible. Very light taste and not overpowering so that was a highlight. The trick is surrounded by many food truck options that I'm sure would be tempting when open. There is plenty of seating at the food truck and everything looks very clean and well maintained. Overall, Doxa is a great coffee truck to visit and the area is nice to relax. read more

Stopped by to try since we live nearby. We tried the iced matcha with vanilla and vanilla iced latte. It was okay. It's a cute area with several food trucks but we weren't particularly impressed. I think the drinks needed a bit more ice and the brew isn't anything super strong. I think we plan to try it again soon and see if anything else on the menu changes. I had been craving a good strong effective latte all day and being a Sunday, oddly not many places were open around this area. Landed up at Doxa but didn't love their coffee. I had a plain latte and though they say they put two espresso shots, either the coffee is a lighter roast, or the settings to draw espresso need adjusting, or the shots are tiny. I could not taste much of the coffee bean in my latte. read more

Really nice area way down south Austin with a lot of out door seating. The chai and matcha were great choices. They ran out of the jalapeno sausages that day but the normal kolache was really good. It's served fully warmed up. The bread had some slight buttery flakiness to it meaking it better that a lot of the ones I had or here. read more

The rosemary matcha could have been blended a bit more smoothly, as it had a slightly powdery texture. I also would have loved a stronger hint of rosemary to really bring out the flavor. read more

Doxa is DELICIOUS! I love their coffee beans and the quality of the roast. I could drink their lattes with oat milk every day all day. I love the rich, nutty flavor of their espresso and the quality you can taste in each drink. I've gotten a simple latte from them and a cold brew, and honestly, I can't choose which one I liked better. When I went the first time, I saw their muffins, said they looked delicious and that I was so glad I had a gluten allergy because if I didn't I would eat that muffin in one minute. Fuck fact: Their muffins are GLUTEN FREE. I didn't tell my husband they were GF, and he said it was delicious. The one we tried first was coffee cake, and he ate a few bites which he normally doesn't do because he's not a pastry person. Thankfully, I broke a piece off and ate it before my son came and swallowed the remaining muffin whole...HAPPILY. They also have gluten free biscuits that look delicious and that are on my list of items to try during my next trip! They now have a location in Buda on my way to work at the vet's golf course, and it is way too convenient to stop and get a quick bite and delicious brew. Add a wonderful owner who I met at a kid's event, someone who is passionate about coffee and treating others kindly, and you have a great business. I love the park they're in on Old San Antonio as well! Both locations are great, their special drinks are fun to try as they are coffee experiments, service is lovely, and their muffins will keep me coming BACK! read more

The latte tasted great and so was the cookie - it didn't even taste GF and was buttery with good texture (and I'm not even GF myself, they just didn't have a non GF cookie option). Shiny, brand spanking new coffee truck serving some mean coffee they roast themselves. Located in a church parking where South 1st and 1626 meet, this new truck sits in a newly converted, soon to be, food truck park. There's ample seating and plenty of shade. Both days I visited, it was blazing hot out. Not in the mood to increase my internal temperature with hot coffee, I opted for their cold brew. Probably best decision I made that day and it was made with a medium dark blend they roasted themselves. This cold brew was terric. Carried a punch yet flavorful and cooling in the heat. The light splash of almond milk provided a hit of sweetness. Great staff and cold brew as well. WIll have to get up early to taste some of their other selections and enjoy them in cooler weather. read more

I have made my own coffee from my nespresso much better than this. it's lacking love, FLAVOR, and just over all I am paying for a lightly flavored milk each time. This coffee food truck is amazing! It recently opened in the waysouth food truck lot so there are lots of food/beverage options, picnic tables, heat lamps, fire pit, playground and games. The area is perfect! You can take your items to go or enjoy the ambiance as it is family friendly. They had a great selection of coffee/tea options as well as pastries. I ordered a holiday drink that was delicious. However, I can't recommend the blueberry muffin enough. Best muffin I've ever had and it is served warm with a nice crunchy crumble on top while being extremely soft inside. The workers were so nice and quick. I'll be coming back for sure! read more

The coffee is trash, the matcha is trash, and the prices are outrageous. I got a 12oz matcha with coconut milk and vanilla. It was over $8.00 for a sample cup. They changed their cup sizes and claimed that the 12oz cups are wider. They are smaller than kids meal cups. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

I ordered a mocha latte once and a different flavor latte another time (can't remember if it was caramel or hazelnut) and both were pretty watered down with no hint of espresso. We went to get coffee yesterday, Friday, morning at 7 AM. I ordered two coffee hot drips. I was told it was brewing and it would be 2 minutes until it was ready. I waited 10 plus minutes. The person who ordered ahead of me got his drips. I did not. My husband came and asked and she said she had to brew the coffee again. At this point I had been waiting 15 minutes for hot coffee. We had to leave without coffee so we were not late to work as we couldn't afford to wait even longer for a hot coffee. Extremely frustrating that the coffee place didn't have coffee, and would have to wait for them to brew two batches before we could get hot coffee. And told it would be two minutes max before our order would be out. We didn't get coffee at all from another place due to the time spent waiting... for nothing. Extremely frustrating. Do not count on this place. And it's disappointing as we live right by it and have been let down before but this was just unacceptable. read more
