The little coffee corner is super cute and their goal is to turn the space into a bar (at night) in a few months. I love the aesthetics inside the shop...every detail, every corner. The whole vibe makes you feel so hip the moment you step into the store. What's even better is they have a super cute there to greet you! Can't wait to come back again soon :)

Bad Customer Service…read more I had a terrible experience ordering Chameleon Coffee online. I ordered 4 bags of whole bean coffee, and I got 4 containers of cold brew. I called customer service based on the number on the website and was told they didn't handle these issues, and was referred to another department. Once the second department emailed me, they told me my order form said cold brew and since it had shipped there was nothing they could do. I tried to explain that I didn't order cold brew but I was stonewalled. When it arrived I attempted to return it, I had to be redirected to another department again and wait a week for a reply, and I was informed the products couldn't be returned, even though the website has a return policy. So now I am stuck with coffee I do not want, I can't return it, and the company took no responsibility for getting my order wrong. I'm never buying this coffee again.

Finding it turned into a bit of a quest for me. After several failed attempts, I finally realized that when my GPS announced, "You have arrived," I had already driven right past it. Pro tip: the truck is much closer to Steck Avenue than Spicewood Springs Road. Thankfully, Cassie, the owner, provided clear directions that made locating the truck easy. As for the coffee, I ordered the iced Casita Café Latte, made with house-made spiced brown sugar and topped with cinnamon. The cinnamon tasted distinctly Mexican, adding a richer, warmer spice note that elevated the coffee. Smooth, flavorful, and refreshing, it was an excellent choice for a warm Austin day. What made the visit even more enjoyable was Cassie. She was friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful in her interactions with customers. While preparing another order, she acknowledged me right away, let me know I was next, and thanked me for my patience. It was a small gesture, but one that made me feel valued as a customer. After searching for it multiple times, I am glad I finally found Casita Café. Between the refreshing coffee and the genuine hospitality, it was well worth the effort.

I was able to try one of her drinks and food options this morning, one week after her grand opening! The strawberry jam filled croissant was chewy and I appreciated the ample amount of filling. Cassie takes the time to craft her drinks with the utmost care, and I absolutely enjoyed the PB Chai, which was a vanilla chai with peanut butter sweet cream...I highly recommend it! Right now, the truck is open on Saturdays and Sundays, so make it a priority to give Casita's Cafe a visit over the weekend---especially if you are in North Austin! Third Coast has become my 'daily driver' for espresso, as their beans offer the best combination of quality, value, and service. El Guapo has been the top choice so far with classic caramel, chocolate notes and a nice syrupy mouthfeel. Every bag has been consistently-roasted and quick to dial-in. Third Coast has so far resisted the insane shrinkflation that has affected many coffee options. As a comparison, local roaster Greater Goods is nearly 2x more expensive, and Third Coast is better. This is the best value in high quality espresso in Austin...and maybe across the US. Highly-recommended!
