Came to this place with my mother on Mother's Day we actually sat next to the owner and her mother-in-law. They were very nice each mother got a handwritten note. The flatbread was good and a perfect pre shopping snack. I will definitely be back take a note to turn at the entrance, not closest to the church. read more

Such a great little food truck for coffee or matcha. Their signature coconut matcha completely won me over, it's really delicious. If you're someone who prefers a very strong, intense matcha flavor, this one might feel a bit on the lighter side, but honestly it's still incredibly enjoyable and well-balanced. I also tried the avocado toast and loved it. One detail that really stood out is that they use sourdough bread from Easy Tiger, which makes a big difference, the bread is high quality and gives the toast amazing flavor and texture. The whole place feels very cute and thoughtfully set up. It's a bit of a hidden gem in the area and definitely worth stopping by if you're nearby. Had truly one of the best matcha lattes ever here!! The staff was so nice and I loved their seating area, I went on the most beautiful sunny day and it was such vibe. I got their Blackberry Crumble Matcha Latte and it was too DIE for, truly so so good. Matcha ratio/flavor was perfect and the blackberry flavor was amazing. This place is so cute! A little coffee truck just a little off Slaughter with great coffee, nice tables, and a really cool connect four to play while you hang. The staff were super nice, and our drinks were out quickly. My mom always gets hers extra hot, and it was actually extra hot which was a slay. I got the Violet Sky Latte, and my mom got the Black Bear Latte. Both were very delicious, but the Black Bear Latte is a must try! Oooookay now I understand what the hype is about. I'll admit, I was hesitant at first -- no offense to fellow Christians (myself included) -- but the location is a bit offputting at first glance. It shares space in a church parking lot with a subpar taco truck, a seasonal fireworks stand, and now a hibachi truck next door. I'm a girl that loves her classic cup of homemade joe. My partner however needs a specialty latte of some sort. We decided to give Odd Roots a try after seeing multiple raving reviews on our neighborhood's community page. As soon as we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see the cozy nook they've created. The area is tastefully decorated with seasonal decor, a few dining tables and chairs, and an outdoor bookshelf selling merchandise. In alignment with their seasonal decor, they're currently offering seasonal beverages along with the usual espresso drinks. I stuck with my preferred "seasonal" classic, a chai latte, and it was absolute perfection. It had just the right amount of spices and gave those warm, cozy vibes I love for this season. So cute! Parking - plenty Coffee - flavored ones are not too sweet; the snickerdoodle was perfect and I like my coffee light to no sugar. The black coffee was smooth and delicious with notes of blueberry. Service - so friendly and attentive Atmosphere - loved that there was seating with umbrellas (shade yes please) and they had music on too! There are also games at the tables. Food? It is on the sweeter side for matchas but I do enjoy a little bit sweeter than the normal matchas you would make and adjust in Japan. The service was great too!! They were so friendly!! Went to Odd Roots to try some of their unique lattes! The staff was friendly, the wait time was minimal from order to coffee call & the pastries were half off when we arrived! There are a few tables out front to enjoy your coffee if the weather is nice. I had the Black Bear latte which was an interesting take on the typical vanilla/hazelnut/brown sugar combo with the addition of black sesame! I ordered it half sweet & it was the perfect balance of creamy balanced latte with a bit of savory. The barista suggested the black sesame cold foam which was also delightful. My friend ordered the Violet Sky latte which had pistachio milk, house made purple sweet potato syrup & a purple sweet potato cold foam! This is a solid spot in South Austin to grab a coffee. We were able to try some of their winter specials before they changed the menu. We got the black bear latte and the spiced winter pear latte. Their options are super unique. We both preferred the winter pear latte. The spices were nice and strong and complemented the espresso. The black bear latte mostly tasted like a vanilla hazelnut latte. I would have loved for the black sesame flavor to come thru more. The black sesame instead just sat in small clumps near the top even after I mixed it. Both drinks were slightly too sweet for my liking. The service was great, and there are a few tables to sit at in front of the trailer. I think this place is a good option for coffee if you're in the area. read more

I am IN LOVE with Odd Roots. I'm so sad that it's so far south because I genuinely would visit this truck every week if I could. Their coffee and food are SO delicious. I was obsessed with their blue coconut latte and the snickerdoodle. Both drinks are so well balanced, and I truly don't think I've had the blue coconut latte anywhere else in Austin. I also ordered a chocolate croissant, which was delicious. The chocolate was still soft, so it was the perfect sweet treat. My neighborhood dreams came true! A coffee spot less than 5 minutes from my house. This cute little camper serves delicious coffee, pastries, and toasts. Took about 15 min for our order at 10am Saturday morning but we enjoyed the seating area and little sunshine while we waited. Dog bowl outside for our furry K9 child, is always a plus. While the service was incredible and there was no wait time, the drinks were abysmal. I ordered the wild rose latte and the black bear and both tasted incredibly watered down with the first sip. It's a bummer since all the reviews are so good and the drinks sounded great too, but the rose latte tastes more like tea with milk while the black bear tasted like slightly nutty milk. read more
