Hot Cafe de Olla latte and iced churro latte
    Hannah W.

As a coffee coffee coffee lover, this was not my favorite. The coffee was okay. My latte probably would've been better as a hot. The iced didn't allow for much of the flavor to pull through. The hot Cafe de Olla was good flavor, but the cup was quite literally half foam. The person who took our order was nice, and the truck is located in a cute spot. Definitely an overrated place that I probably won't be coming back to.

checked out Cenizo, a coffee truck set within a food truck park that's easy to miss from the street but nicely laid out once you're inside. there's street access with parking nearby, and the space itself is pretty spread out, which makes it workable for larger groups or casual meet-ups. the park is fully surrounded by trees, has turf throughout, a small playground area, and a treehouse that kids seem to gravitate toward. there's also a little free library in the center and old-timey music playing, which gives the space some character without being distracting. the coffee menu has more range than a typical truck. options include chai, hot chocolate, tea, horchata lattes, and house-made flavor blends like honey lavender. everything we tried was balanced and not overly sweet. overall, it's a solid spot if you're meeting multiple people, bringing kids, or just want an outdoor coffee option where you're not rushed or packed in.

I LOVE CENIZO! I have a great coffee setup at home, but that doesn't stop me from getting my iced horchata latte fix at least once a week. The staff are all so kind and I really appreciate the owners for investing in SE Austin like they have. They also have really creative seasonal menus (bring back the banana latte!!)

The coffees weren't as flavorful as we had hoped. I've had much better elsewhere, and both my husband and I had to ask for more flavor pumps. I ordered the seasonal horchata latte, which was bland, and my husband tried the café de olla latte which was average. Not worth the long lines in my opinion, but the service was good. That said, the location and ambiance are true to the "Keep Austin Weird" vibe, with a variety of food trucks in the park and a good amount of parking available. They also have live music, which was a nice touch. Overall, I think there are better coffee spots in Austin.

drinks were yummy, wait time wasn't too long, and the space was clean! i recommend the honey lavender matcha!

I'm such a Cenizo fan girl! Since moving to South Austin, Cenizo has become a part of my regular routine. Their coffee truck is located in a food truck park: Tree House Park. Theres a ton of neighboring food options as well, a perfect place to stop by for lunch. I'm a big fan of their matcha. I've had their matcha with lavender and oat milk, which is a staple for me! Recently they've introduced their "Summer Matcha" which is their matcha with fresh berries. It's DELICIOUS! Cenizo also has some delicious pastries available. I've tried their Cinnamon rolls which are absolutely incredible! They have a few seats right outside of the truck, and are opening a second location soon! Very happy to support this local business - it's delicious, convenient, and the team at Cenizo is incredibly friendly!

A charming coffee food truck in East Austin! We ordered a vanilla latte, a churro latte, a kolache, and a cream cheese pastry. The churro latte was absolutely delicious--not too sweet and full of flavor. I would've liked a bit more spice, but it was still great overall. Both the kolache and the pastry were tasty as well. With other food trucks nearby, it's definitely a cute spot to relax and hang out with family!

Our neighborhood has been loving Cenizo ever since they opened up shop. The staff is extremely friendly, the coffee is delicious, and the outdoor seating area is super comfortable. I stop by this coffee shop a few times a week and it's always an amazing experience. Thank y'all for everything that you do!

Cutest little place. Nice view, great customer service, drinks and food is pretty good. The guy working was really nice and they used fresh chamomile herbs for my tea. Thank you!!

They offer both coffee and cocktails (which I'm guessing is where the "day and night" name comes from lol). They're also located near a few other food trucks that are right outside which looked interesting, but were closed when I visited. I loved that they make their syrups in-house and there were so many good options that it made choosing a bit difficult. The barista was super helpful and even suggested mixing two syrups, which I thought was a really cool option to try. I ended up getting a latte with burnt sugar and vanilla syrup. The first sip was great, but as I kept drinking it, it tasted a bit more milky than expected which was honestly my fault. I asked for something not too sweet, so we went with just one pump of each syrup in a bigger 16oz iced drink. Next time, I'd probably stick with the standard three pumps and go with a smaller size so the flavors come through more. Overall, a really solid spot and I'd definitely come back to try some more flavors.

They were all standing behind the bar, observing that nobody was getting food or drink and not working on making anything. At some point you'd think that they would've made an announcement or asked us if we ordered something. Neither of them could finish their entire glass of beer, so I ended up chugging the remaining half of both of theirs. The customer service was so sweet--I was struggling to translate the menu with my mom, and the guy at the front desk was truly helpful throughout. It really raised the experience of this place during what could've been a relatively stressful situation. Dirty Horchata - I was hoping for a stronger horchata taste. It's not bad, so it was worth the shot! Just grateful it wasn't too sweet. My BFF felt the same, as we're both horchata fiends from growing up in Chicago. Cherry Cider - The cider has a tangy taste. The cherry flavor isn't as strong, but it's a fragrant drink. The flavor slowly became sweeter the more I drank it. It grew on me, but it wouldn't be my go-to unless I knew I was munching on something salty that night. Violet Blueberry Blonde - My favorite of the two. This one has a tamer flavor with a nicer floral note. It was exactly what I asked for. I felt like I could've easily chugged a few of these. The guy at the counter definitely chose a great pick. I love the low-key ambiance of this place, the peaceful nighttime atmosphere, the fact that it's wedged into a cozy nook, and how it isn't so LOUD like many bars. Didn't get bit by a mosquito while we hung out there for an hour, so that's a huge plus. They were probably chewing on my friends' legs too intently to consider me, though. Wish I had something like this near my place in Houston. I would regularly hang out here on a weekday, no cap.

Delicious saltiness and cinnamon! I really enjoyed this. I tried the honey lavender latte which they said was the least sweet of their fort favorites. The lavender flavor was very forward and there was a hint of sweetness on the back of the tongue, so very accurate. I didn't get as much coffee flavor here so maybe double espresso if that's important to you. Friends also tried the seasonal coconut macadamia latte (they said it was nice, like a sweet nutty flavor). Really solid coffee spot with great vibes, I'd come back.
