They roast their own coffee beans in-house, and you can truly taste the difference. Their espresso is incredibly smooth never bitter, never burnt, just consistently excellent. My personal favorite is the Honey Lavender Latte, but their matcha is hands down the best I've had anywhere in Austin. They also make their own syrups from scratch, and their house chai is unlike any other fresh, balanced, and full of flavor. I also love that you can buy their freshly roasted beans to take home, have them delivered, or even sign up for a coffee subscription. It's such a great way to enjoy their coffee even when you can't make it into the shop. The baristas are always genuinely kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Every visit feels personal, and the atmosphere is warm without trying too hard. They even host coffee classes, which is such a fun way to learn more about the craft behind every cup. El Guapo has been the top choice so far with classic caramel, chocolate notes and a nice syrupy mouthfeel. Every bag has been consistently-roasted and quick to dial-in. Third Coast has so far resisted the insane shrinkflation that has affected many coffee options. As a comparison, local roaster Greater Goods is nearly 2x more expensive, and Third Coast is better. This is the best value in high quality espresso in Austin...and maybe across the US. Highly-recommended!
