Just be careful when you order if you're sensitive to dairy. Before ordering I told them I can't handle dairy and asked what is in it. They said it's a secret recipe and said I'd be fine with a half moon. Well.....I was not ok. Unique coffee with their use of Moon Milk. They have seasonal flavors like Gingerbread that are perfect. Bigger chains like SBUX tend to overdo the sugar on their frapps and lattes that you're just like ugh I need to go to the dentist. All I can say is you are missing out if you have never been to one of their locations!!! The one I enjoy most is off south first next door to Smoking burnouts. I get great coffee, service and when I'm done studying I can go literally right next door to a smoke shop for my vape pen!!!!! I'm a huge Summermoon fan, and have been a religious customer at your Avery Ranch in Austin location. My go to drink (because I'm all about efficiency) is your Moon Raker. It's just what I need to perk me up for the day. Well; I was thrilled to see, as I was heading to San Antonio today, that you have a location in Buda. I put in an order online to pick up a 007 & a Moon Raker, and was incredibly disappointed when I arrived to pick up my order and was greeted with the saddest, glass half empty, Moon Raker. I checked with the barista just to make sure she knew I got a Moon Raker (4 shots) and not a 007 (2 shots) also. She confirmed that my drink was correct, and made no effort to resolve my obvious dissatisfaction. I walked out of the store feeling disappointed with the realization that I'd need another pick me up of caffeine later. I will not be returning to this location. read more

Service is great, fast and efficient. It can get a little busy depending on what time you visit. The coffee always taste good; if you're a matcha fan-- theirs taste really good as well. It's nothing like Starbucks, none of that sugary super sweet drinks. If you decide to sit inside, it can be slightly noisy. But they have outside seating (limited, but it's there). Located at downtown Buda, so there are nice stores right beside it that you can visit. read more

I absolutely adore Summer Moon. I had never tried them before and my boyfriend really likes their coffee... So when I moved to Austin it was definitely a must have. Everyone is always polite, the quality of their coffee and everything is amazing. Prices are reasonable, you would spend just as much or more at Starbucks and this is something local. I really like their espresso milkshake, I am definitely a big fan of it. The other day I also recently tried there's summer moon latte, that's what my boyfriend always gets... And it was incredible! You can get it in various ways, with more of their moon milk or with some of their moon milk, and some skim milk... It's really great! They sell super cute merch too! I will definitely be trying it more things on their menu with time going on, but I really do love this quaint little place! I also really like the name they picked! Employees are always friendly! Their homemade pop tarts are great and I've tried almost every coffee on their menu and my favorite is the iced mocha moon latte with 1/4 moon milk. It is my go to! With only 1/4 of moon milk, it adds just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. Another few other favorites are the iced cinnamon latte, matcha iced latte, and during the holidays I enjoyed their iced s'mores latte. read more

Summer Moon's Moon Milk is life changing. The baristas are always nice + fast, the line can get long but they will move it along quickly! If you are in a hurry, order ahead about 10-15 mins and your drinks will be ready for pickup when you arrive. I've recently been getting their beans for my at home coffee & the quality is SO good. First of all it excites the heck out of me to find another Summermoon location but this time closer to my (new) work location in Kyle/Buda area. YAY SUMMERMOON! With the new gig and having an early start for my day (7am) sometimes I don't make it out of my house with a cup of joe in my hands. That is where I detour and head on down to Summermoon right smack in the middle of Buda downtown area. Even at 6am the staff is super friendly, all smiles, and fast with making my drink. Inside is quiet even with a few customers typing away on their laptops. Watch out for those hanging basket lanterns though! I got snagged by one repeatedly as I tried sitting down in the cool church pews they have as seating along the wall. No big deal - I just had to remember to duck. Parking is easy and located right in front of Summermoon along with more cool local antique places surrounding them. Whether you are in Buda to browse, buy, or just look around be sure to stop by and get some tasty woodfire roasted coffee. I suggest a medium Summermoon with an extra shot to jump start your day, afternoon, and/or night. read more

I came with a friend while I was visiting the Austin area and was pretty excited to try a new iced coffee. I had the Wintermoon which completely changed my opinions of what iced coffee should taste like. The Moon Milk they use here will leave you dazed with a goofy smile on your face, wondering how you've gone so long and gotten this far in life without it. This small chain of coffee shops offers up some quaint space perfect for studying, relaxing, or catching up with old and new friends. I think I'll be planning my next trip to Austin around a trip to Summermoon. Be sure to ask for Courtney when you order your Wintermoon. She's amazing. read more

It's hard for me to drink coffee without a good amount of sweetness and milk, and the mocha moon latte here is a perfect mix of all of that.
