Just moved to Kyle from Chicago, tried KDG for the first time today. Here are some thoughts: -Feels like a small town coffee shop, not like Starbucks, Dunkin', etc. -Inside is nice, a few tables, not a ton of seating. Restrooms are nice. -I ordered a vanilla latte, and it was very good--great coffee flavor! -Service was friendly and good. Prices are reasonable. Recommended. read more

Ducked in here on a road trip to caffeinate and wait out some rain - very friendly service, the girl working was so sweet and helped answer some of my questions. The latte and Italia Cream Soda were made quickly and both had great flavor to them! Would stop here again! read more

I got the jalapeño kolaches. Was not what I expected from a kolache. The dough was not fluffy. Not great in my opinion. Other than that, the service was wonderful. I also got a chai which was very sweet so if that's not your thing, I would make sure to let them know. read more

Twice a week I drive past downtown Kyle on my way to work in San Marcos and didn't realize until a few months ago that this local coffee shop was here! Now I stop twice a week for coffee on my way to work and it sets me up for a great work day. The employees that work there are great. They never make me feel bad for ordering the same thing every time lol!! They are so quick at making lattes too which surprised me for a local spot. The coffee is great quality and they always get my order right. I haven't been inside yet but it looks super cute through the windows! They also have breakfast stuff and do seasonal muffins and stuff like that, I had a pumpkin one recently that was really good! I hope this place continues to do well because I love stopping by here for my morning mocha latte on my way to work to take care of my patients. Thanks yall! read more

First time trying this place out while heading out of Austin to San Antonio and the barista that helped me was very nice and helpful. Drinks were on point too. Chai Latte tastes like it's made with fresh cinnamon (taste like holiday) and you're able to get the Red Bull infused drinks w sugar free RB. The ambiance was okay, it's silent in there which I think some light music would be nice? Other than that, the overall place was clean, clean and single restrooms and wasn't too crowded inside. Stopped by on my way out of town for a mocha and received great service. Loved the vibe!

The baristas are always SO nice and welcoming. I love to get the iced toasted marshmallow latte with oat milk and when in season, I love getting the iced vanilla ginger latte. This is our favorite local coffee shop every since moving to Kyle. read more

I've been here 3 times and I've enjoyed it, I saw some reviews saying it's expensive but I think there prices are reasonable (my total was $9.26) with a coffee and their kolaches which I say taste good. Charming small local coffee shop. Tastes burned. The decaf was beyond burned. Coffee is sourced from Asar, a Honduran coffee. Appears to be roasted in Lockhart. I love to support local roasters, but not when they serve burned coffee. It's a shame. I roast coffee for a hobby, and seek out local coffee shops wherever I travel. I ordered a chai latte, chicken salad, croissant, and oatmeal cookie. I didn't like the first bite of the chicken salad, but eventually it grew on me. Everything tasted super OK as in not too terrible but also not great. The ambience was not like a typical café There were only two dining tables and one small coffee table. I've been coming here for a couple weeks now and feel like I have tried it enough to make an informed review. I think it's a solid three stars. Pros: 1) The staff is mostly nice (there has been 1 or 2 people who seemed like they were having a bad day and some AMAZING ones). 2) Their iced mocha slammed so hard. 3) They have nice large options. 4) They are local. 5) You earn rewards quickly. Cons: 1) Almost always out of something. 2) When I have gotten a kolache, it was still frozen in parts, making it super disappointing. 3) Slow slow slow - for instance today I sat at the box for 5 minutes with no one coming to. I even backed up and pulled forward for the sensor. I finally had to pull to window to get help. Over all it's okay. More expensive than Starbucks and less consistent with product, may go back to the original. read more

My husband brought me here on a whim, and I saw they had redbull infused drinks. I thought it said redbull smoothie, but it was just a drink. They had no problem making me a redbull smoothie, which is DELICIOUS by the way, and addicting.. the manger Thomas has shown the other employees how to make them as well, since it's not on the menu. I come here almost every day now to get one and my mom has been by as well to get one and she loves them. Awesome customer service, and we now frequent the Daily grind instead of Starbucks. read more

Drove a little ways off the highway to support a smaller business and wanted to give this place a shot... unfortunately this wasn't the greatest experience. After waiting 3 minutes infront of the ordering intercom and 4 minutes at the first window the woman finally came and took our order. (We thought they might be closed!) The woman working the window was so incredibly rude it made us wonder if our business was inconveniencing her in some way? I'm not sure. But it seems as though she may have not had her coffee today. The coffee wasn't great and she made us question our choices on driving the extra mile to check this place out. Hope her day gets better. read more

They know how to make an Americano with half water. Seems simple but you'd be surprised. They also have a fantastic pecan pie mini that just about nails it compared to Ma's. The staff is truly working behind the scenes and not just sitting on their phones wasting time when likely there are upkeep items that need attention. read more

Walked in to silence, a barista came up to the counter asked me what I wanted, I order, the pay pad is completely blocked making it a struggle to pay, coffee hits counter. The end. No eye contact, smile, not even the popular rude as shit, have a nice day, nope, nothin. I felt like an intruder and I will not be back. Always a great choice! Coffee is good, food is good and I enjoy coming here for my coffee! The only downfall is I always have to wait a while, even when getting a simple one drink order. I know there are staffing shortages so I don't count it against them, just something to note. You won't get your coffee as fast as other places but the coffee taste great and they have a great point/reward system! read more
