Red Bull infused drink & Chai Latte
    Clarissa G.

First time trying this place out while heading out of Austin to San Antonio and the barista that helped me was very nice and helpful. Drinks were on point too. Chai Latte tastes like it's made with fresh cinnamon (taste like holiday) and you're able to get the Red Bull infused drinks w sugar free RB. The ambiance was okay, it's silent in there which I think some light music would be nice? Other than that, the overall place was clean, clean and single restrooms and wasn't too crowded inside. Lots of space to chill or do work.

I've been coming here for a couple weeks now and feel like I have tried it enough to make an informed review. I think it's a solid three stars. Pros: 1) The staff is mostly nice (there has been 1 or 2 people who seemed like they were having a bad day and some AMAZING ones). 2) Their iced mocha slammed so hard. 3) They have nice large options. 4) They are local. 5) You earn rewards quickly. Cons: 1) Almost always out of something. 2) When I have gotten a kolache, it was still frozen in parts, making it super disappointing. 3) Slow slow slow - for instance today I sat at the box for 5 minutes with no one coming to. I even backed up and pulled forward for the sensor. I finally had to pull to window to get help. Over all it's okay. More expensive than Starbucks and less consistent with product, may go back to the original.

Meridian is in downtown Buda and is connected to Zoi Wellness. We were able to park in the parking lot across the street. Upon walking in, the space had a rustic loft feel with lots of greenery. The furniture made it feel very cozy. I honestly didn't expect to find a coffee shop like this in Buda. The barista was very nice and gave recommendations. My mom and I both ordered Iced Pecan Pie Lattes which was a seasonal drink that they were featuring. We ordered our drinks to go, but then decided to sit in the cafe and enjoy our beverages. The coffee is legit! We both liked our beverages. I really enjoyed the pecan flavor and the sweetness level was perfect. The barista informed us that they make all of their syrups in house. I noticed that there were plenty of outlets for work or study. There's quite a bit of seating including couches. They have QR codes at each table that you can order from which is so convenient. In addition to coffee (which is served until 5 pm), they also have wellness drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. They have a nice sized stage for live music. I would love to go back in the evening for a cocktail and live music! I'm so happy to have discovered this gem in Buda!

As you walk in, you'll notice the building space has a store front where the sell other retail items besides food. You have to walk to the back to place your order at the counter, just follow your nose as you can smell the baked goodness in the air. You can see the bakers hard at work making everything fresh from scratch. I look at the display case of goodies and know I'll be leaving with more than I came on for. I look over the menu and order the croissant breakfast sandwich with sausage and 3 Danishes (cheese, blueberry, and strawberry). When they call my name, I pick up the order and find a seat in the neighboring spot which sell coffee, tea, and other drinks (see separate review for Meridian). The croissant breakfast sandwich comes with a scrambled egg, sliced link sausage and a green salsa that has a nice heat to it. The croissant itself it nicely toasted and just crumbles in your mouth as you take your first bite. The sandwich is hearty and will fill you up. When I get back home, I try the blueberry Danish and it's as good as it looks. Flaky crust with a great blueberry center filling. If you're ever in Buda, you should come and try the Teal House.

There was one a few months ago that had a little oil spritz on top that was my must have for its entire time on the menu. The coffee is fab. I do miss the sweater weather latte from last year, but the house made syrups and the coffee itself are really great so I can't complain. It's easy going during the day, it's more festive at night, but we love it for both vibes. The markets they host are also really lovely, great food items and pastries, etc. Solid food truck rotation, although I am missing the lamb barbacoa mini tacos now that pueblo viejo is gone and mil amores has taken over as the taco staple.

Now that the foundation has settled, let's dive in: SERVICE: The baristas have gotten much better (or were let go and replaced) and are much more competent than the first few months. FOOD: While they still don't offer food except for light local pastries, the food truck vendors have changed and NOT in a good way. I always come for my coffee and breakfast taco, but the recent change has been a huge let down (cash/zelle/venmo ONLY, inconsistent hours). Progress needs to monitor their food trucks better and revisit those contracts PARKING: Now that Progress has subleased a portion of their building to an insurance agent, the alternate lot is reserved for insurance patrons only. Parking is already frustrating to begin with. Open the grass lot and expand parking!! COFFEE: Once again, the signature coffees are just not for me... they're too sweet or light. Luckily, they're Matcha Lattes have been subbing in.

My grandmother loved cherry pie and I have fond memories of making it. The anniversary of her passing came and I decided I wanted to make something she loved to honor her. Well I had no cake or pie ingredients to bake with but as I was thinking about what I could make in honor of her I was starting to drive toward the pie place. And I thought: how about I see if they have a cherry pie! And they did! So I bought a mini pie. Just big enough for me. Which was nice that they had small portions if you didn't want to have a huge pie. They had many flavors and I was surprised to see they also sold food like sandwiches and salads and some breakfast items like quiche. Would love to bring my family here for sure when they visit. The best part was is that the pie wasn't too sweet at all which I actually liked! I eat very healthy so when I splurge I sometimes still don't want it to be too sweet and this wasn't. It was perfect balance of sweetness from the filling and savory from the crust. So no sugar coma when you come here! At least not with the cherry pie;)
