Every time I come in the pastries are fresh and there is a nice variety if you get in early. The staff are always friendly and if you're lucky enough you can sometimes catch their sourdough loaves for 2.00 each. My best discovery in awhile! We are weekly visitors.

Been here a few times for either cookies, pastries or bread. They make a variety of breads, pastries, cookies, and even tortilla chips. The breads comes in half or full loaves and pastries and cookies are sold individually. All of their baked goods are pretty good but my favorites so far have been their everything bagel and chocolate croissant. The croissant was super tasty filled with some dark chocolate which paired nicely with the coat of powdered sugar on the croissant. The croissant itself soft and semi flaky, a perfect companion to my coffee. The everything bagel was pretty large, covered with everything seasoning. I was able to barely fit it into the toaster. Unlike other bagels i've had, this one still kept most of its spices after being toasted. This toasted bagel was a nice vehicle for the thin layer of cream cheese I added to it. The bagel, I must say, was perfect. I've had their sourdough bread and it's pretty good. They have so many varieties of bread that there's something for everyone. The one that keeps eluding me is their jalapeno cheese loaf. I need to start camping out there just so I'm able to get my hands on one.

When COVID first made finding bread impossible a friend told me about New World. Now my whole family is obsessed. Their Baurenbrot and Jewish Rye are our favorites. They are a family owned business and have gone above and beyond for their customers. During this last week of freezing cold and power outages they have stayed late and even opened on Saturday to make sure everyone was able to get some fresh bread. I highly recommend everything they have... and if you have a sweet tooth try their chocolate croissants.

Today I ordered the cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich with bacon and wow, this place is incredible! I ordered delivery and it was at my house ten minutes before I had expected it which was really great and quick. The breakfast sandwich was on a delectable croissant with perfectly cooked eggs, cheese and tasty bacon. The cinnamon roll was so soft, dripping with the most luscious topping. I was going to have one, I ended up having both right away!! Super yummy.

According to Cristiano, store manager, both the Austin and Buda locations share the same owner, although each offers a unique experience. One key difference is that Teal House does not serve coffee. Instead, coffee is available next door at Meridian through the businesses' shared entrance. Teal House focuses on baked goods including breakfast tacos, breads, and pastries. Cristiano shared that their cinnamon rolls have won awards, which naturally made us curious enough to try them ourselves. Quite honestly, we were pleasantly surprised. The cinnamon rolls were soft, flavorful, and loaded with icing. If we had to make one suggestion, it would be to offer a version with pecans, our favorite type of cinnamon roll. Teal House is also a boutique and wellness-oriented space that offers a variety of medicinal products displayed along one huge wall. In addition, shoppers can shop for clothing, home décor items such as pillows and quilts, and an assortment of artifacts. Super cool find...
