Tiny tiny cinnamon roll. Is this for a baby?
Rhonda M.

I used to love coming to Teal House for their cinnamon rolls, but it seems like the size of their rolls have tremendously decreased. For five dollars, I would expect something bigger than 2.5 inches, my pinky finger is even bigger than this roll. I feel ripped off.

Y'all. I don't care if you visit this location or the one on Congress but visit ONE. Croissants and kolaches perfection! They have a good number of menu items based on the croissants and kolaches. Their cinnamon croissant is what both my inner and outer fat boy was needing this morning. Tore into that bad boy as we had our kolaches heating up in our air fryer (pro tip 250° for 5 minutes). You sliced in this bad boy and you find layer upon crispy layers of dough, cinnamon, and brown sugar, all sitting below a beautifully home made icing that was generously dolloped on top. Sadly, I didn't get to enjoy it as much as I had to slice it into threes to share with the wife and son. Insert sad face here. We also got a chocolate croissant that was also fantastic. Like the croissant cinnamon roll, I had to share that too. Good thing their croissants are pretty massive so we all got and ample sample. Their chocolate was delicious: it was like dark chocolate and hazelnut. It was definitely a great experience as you have all these textures and flavors as you bite into it. Their kolaches? What can i say? We ordered the brisket and cheese, sausage and cheese, and jalapeno sausage and cheese. Not sure what sausages they use but they had a great snap and flavor. The brisket was chopped and pretty tasty. The kolache bread was how I like it: a little toasty on the outside and soft inside. Hard for me to pick a favorite and good thing we got two of each. They're a pretty good size so we all shared them and even had one left over which we'll likely be throwing hands for. Finally a place with out of the norm baked goods and a great addition to the community.

I'd been wanting some chocolate croissants for days and I knew this place had them so I was pretty excited to try theirs. I've passed by the location so many times but I never realized it was inside the Meridian shop. The bakery part is tucked in the back where they have pastries on display. I came for the chocolate croissants but the lady at the register convinced me to try the almond chocolate croissants. I took them to go and had it with my homemade coffee. I tried the almond chocolate one first and maybe it was the marzipan but it wasn't as flaky as I like. And I think both the almond and chocolate flavor together kind of made it feel heavier than I prefer. As for the chocolate one, unfortunately, I had to wait until the next day to try it and it wasn't fresh so I can't comment on it fully, but I will definitely make it a point to go and ensure I eat it right away so I can report on quality, freshness, and taste.

Best cinnamon rolls and even better customer service! The owner and his team are so friendly and kind. This is my second time here and each time just gets better. Highly recommended!

Best GF cinnamon roll I've been GF for 10 yrs and this was an amazing surprise to find. Texture was light and the frosting delicious. Would not know it is GF

Adorable little bakery in the back of the Meridian store. My husband's favorite breakfast item is cinnamon rolls and he gave them a 10/10. His description: ooey gooey breading on the inside but not mushy, you could taste the cinnamon, and the icing was thick delicious cream cheese flavor. We tried the jalapeño kolache and brisket kolache. The jalapeño sausage was awesome, good flavor and none of the ick you sometimes get eating sausage links. Breading wasn't just soft plain bread it had a nice crunch to the outside and then was soft on the inside. 10/10! Brisket was a little overcooked but overall very tasty!! We'll be coming back often!

Love this place. The coffee is good and the pastries are super tasty. People who complain about this place must just be unhappy people.

We've been twice now and these are definitely the yummiest cinnamon rolls and bread in general I've ever had.

Meridian is in downtown Buda and is connected to Zoi Wellness. We were able to park in the parking lot across the street. Upon walking in, the space had a rustic loft feel with lots of greenery. The furniture made it feel very cozy. I honestly didn't expect to find a coffee shop like this in Buda. The barista was very nice and gave recommendations. My mom and I both ordered Iced Pecan Pie Lattes which was a seasonal drink that they were featuring. We ordered our drinks to go, but then decided to sit in the cafe and enjoy our beverages. The coffee is legit! We both liked our beverages. I really enjoyed the pecan flavor and the sweetness level was perfect. The barista informed us that they make all of their syrups in house. I noticed that there were plenty of outlets for work or study. There's quite a bit of seating including couches. They have QR codes at each table that you can order from which is so convenient. In addition to coffee (which is served until 5 pm), they also have wellness drinks, wine, beer and cocktails. They have a nice sized stage for live music. I would love to go back in the evening for a cocktail and live music! I'm so happy to have discovered this gem in Buda!

There was one a few months ago that had a little oil spritz on top that was my must have for its entire time on the menu. The coffee is fab. I do miss the sweater weather latte from last year, but the house made syrups and the coffee itself are really great so I can't complain. It's easy going during the day, it's more festive at night, but we love it for both vibes. The markets they host are also really lovely, great food items and pastries, etc. Solid food truck rotation, although I am missing the lamb barbacoa mini tacos now that pueblo viejo is gone and mil amores has taken over as the taco staple.

Now that the foundation has settled, let's dive in: SERVICE: The baristas have gotten much better (or were let go and replaced) and are much more competent than the first few months. FOOD: While they still don't offer food except for light local pastries, the food truck vendors have changed and NOT in a good way. I always come for my coffee and breakfast taco, but the recent change has been a huge let down (cash/zelle/venmo ONLY, inconsistent hours). Progress needs to monitor their food trucks better and revisit those contracts PARKING: Now that Progress has subleased a portion of their building to an insurance agent, the alternate lot is reserved for insurance patrons only. Parking is already frustrating to begin with. Open the grass lot and expand parking!! COFFEE: Once again, the signature coffees are just not for me... they're too sweet or light. Luckily, they're Matcha Lattes have been subbing in.

Honestly, I told my husband it could be a spot I'd be a regular at if the changes keep trending the way they are! Loved the new bartop and setup, and how it has an alternative feel to it between the look and music. Nice that it's not just another sports bar. The service was great, and everyone got a really genuine greeting when they walked through the door (which has been lacking on menchaca lately). Loved the option of late night food as well. We had already had dinner but the sandwich next to me looked amazing. Looking forward to stopping by again.

It's not the kind of spot where you go for a full meal, but for a quick bite or a coffee break, it works just fine. The coffee was actually nice, smooth, not too bitter. I also ordered a sandwich, and that part didn't go as smoothly. They completely forgot about it, so my friend and I ended up sitting there for almost half an hour before we finally went inside to ask about it. Only after that did they bring it out. It wasn't a huge deal, but it definitely took away from the experience. Inside, though, the atmosphere wasn't quite my style. The interior is noticeably dark, and it felt a bit heavy, so I didn't feel like staying indoors for long. But the outdoor seating completely changed the experience. Outside it's much brighter and more welcoming, with a comfortable, relaxed vibe. If the weather is good, it's honestly a great spot to sit for a while, drink your coffee, and just slow down a bit.
