Summer Moon Coffee - A delicious Velvet Blaze! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Buda, Texas

Whoop! All the goodness of the coffee and moon milk you love, but presented in a beautiful package, just as it should be. This new location is gorgeous. Charming old building. Interior is bright, shiny, and clean - but not sterile, rather warm and welcoming. Nice seating inside, cute high tops outside, and even a little picnic table for the kiddos. Another option is to take your treat across the street to sit and enjoy in the park (in front of the library). Staff is super friendly. Clean bathroom (actually located inside the coffee shop :) and, get excited, parking! Was thrilled to see branded jars so now I have an appropriate (and adorable) vessel in which to store my moon milk. read more

Omgoodness, I could have sworn I already reviewed this place. Well, no worries there.. A few weeks ago I had to go to San Marcos for one of our new accounts..Holy smokes. I had this place bookmarked for a reason.. turns out, I had no idea the excitement, joy, and "buzziness" it would have me walking out the door with! This is an absolute MUST TRY. 1. The place is sweet, quaint, cozy, warm, welcoming, relaxing. 2. The girls who served me both days were absolutely wonderful. Cheery, bright eyed, full of smiles, caring, helpful... they could not have been any better! 3. The moon milk is to die for. Really. You have to get it. At least just once... try it alone, then try it in your coffee.. you will be blown away! 4. The coffee... is indescribable. Honestly. So rich. So bold. So freaking delicious. I've never had coffee quite this spectacular. I tried it black, first.. to truly taste it.. then added that delicious moon milk. WOW. 5. Prices... amazing for the quality. I was expecting a much higher price. 6. Danishes/pastries that nobody needs, but so delicious, you dont care how bad it is FOR you.. :) Summermoon.. you definitely have a special place in my heart and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I was given to make that stop so delightfully simple! I WILL be back, and encourage others to go.. enjoy yourself. You will not regret it. read more

So happy this is in town! It's super cute and those drinks are super yummy! I also loved their cookies...good call purchasing those! There were a few other folks enjoying the quiet atmosphere to work and chill while they had their drink. I had an iced mocha moon and my husband had the moon glacier. They were both phenomenal. We also each had a lemon cookie...holy smokes! Fabulous, light, flakey and perfect lemoniness!!! Yeah, I said it lemoniness! ;-) we will be back MANY times!!!! read more

Tried this place out since I like coffee. The run-of-the-mill coffee was weak. The shop is a bit awkward, getting in line blocks the people finishing their order from moving to collect their coffee. I'll give it another shot, just in case it's an "off" day for their brew. The service was good though. Disclaimer: I base all coffee shop reviews on my opinion of the order of "coffee, black". read more

Excellent variety of coffees with comfortable inside and outside seating. I haven't tried any of the sweet snacks available but they look delicious. It's a very nice place to unwind or just get a good coffee to go. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The lady taking our order was so rude to us, I understand if you're having a bad day but don't bring that energy to work with you bc then you piss people off. I wish I got her name, I would put her on blast if I could. Also I ordered two different hot coffees and got two of the same coffees and didn't realize until we got to work, not to mention they were cold. Seriously worst experience. read more

Crowded . Coffee is good but not much of a selection of alternative sweeteners and they don't take cash -- Thats the only downside .

What a cute coffee shop. It's got that Pinterest charm when you walk in. The prices are great and the coffee is good. I am just a regular coffee person so I can't comment on anything fancy, but my friend had a latte and liked it a lot. They serve a small menu of breakfast foods and I got a miga breakfast burrito. It was very good. Better than I expected for a coffee shop. read more

I like the atmosphere, sometimes a little loud, but comfortable nonetheless. Coffee is yummy to boot!

Smoothie poorly made and wasn't tasty, nor were they cheap! The staff was friendly enough. Pastries were a little stale / not sure how long they were in the showcase. read more

I'm not a huge fan of coffee BUT this is the best Latte I've had ever. They have their own "Moon milk" which is amazing. It's quite small but it's quaint and it has seating outside if you'd like. Staff were cheerful and pleasant. They also have food choices like snack things to order. You can also order online and just come pick it up. I'd go back for sure. read more

The place is cozy and seems to be full of regulars, happily working away on laptops and chatting. The staff is really nice and on top of their game. The coffee was good. I would much rather support a local spot any day than a chain up the road. I'll be back and look forward to sampling more of their drinks and what looked to be some tasty treats. read more

Great coffee! Bummer is, every one wants to mimic Starbucks. Well, do yourself a favor, differentiate yourself from them and lower your damn prices! Seriously...I would frequent you more often but you're more expensive than starbucks. And why...? Don't you want to take their customers away from them? Don't you want to be so busy that you have to expand or open a second location and take even more business from them...? Also, the employees have zero sense of urgency. I'm not there because I want to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. There has to be an understanding that when people order something to go, there needs to be a sense of urgency that goes with that order. Yes, other orders in front need to be taken care of, but with the same sense of urgency. Because someone else is waiting too. The nonchalant attitude that comes with 'Austin' and being weird can certainly play a role in all of this. Just don't act so stoned that you're moving so slowly that I can tell. Free wifi...yay! Who cares! People have unlimited data now! Give those of us that don't have a starbucks budget an opportunity to enjoy a real cup of coffee every once in a while. Not when it's a surprise meet up and there's no choice but to get something. Great atmosphere and it's always very clean. I just wish the bathrooms accommodated more than one person. read more

Favorite coffee shop! Perfect coffee everytime and friendly staff. Love that I can order ahead if needed on the app as well

I don't get it. Over roasted beans are not good. I guess it's a local chain version of other chains like Starbucks.

This place is amazing. You can smell the aroma of roasting coffee even before you walk in the door. Sometimes the smell and the taste don't quite match up. That has never been my experience at Summermoon. Do yourself a favor, if you haven't tried the coffee here or their moon milk, get there as fast as you can! I promise, you won't be sorry! read more

Worst service ever. We ordered 2 hot chocolates and a French Vanilla Cappuccino. Easy right? Wrong... 1 chocolate syrup, 1 vanilla soda, 1 french roast coffee BLACK. WHAT?!?! One of these wasn't even on their Menu. JS. read more

Summer moon coffee is the best. Try it with some coffee cake or a homemade pop tart

Sooo good! This is such an awesome little local coffee shop. The staff has been super friendly and helpful anytime that I've been in. Love that you can go in and sit down if you like or order mobile for pick up. I am definitely stopping in to grab a tasty beverage anytime I pass by! read more

About the best coffee shop in Kyle. Great space to work and talk. Coffee is good as well. The drive through can be a little rough getting up, but not really their fault. Service is consistently good. read more

My first visit to the Buda location. Cute lil' small town vibe going on here Ellie was kind & patient while describing the menu to me in precise coffee lingo, while Jessica made the best iced 007 & a Quarter Moon Latte for my husband. Great atmosphere with seating to work or visit inside or outside. The coffee is wood-fired so not a typical coffee experience. Overall, five stars. read more

I've I only been here a handful of times, but it's always been really good. My wife and son love it, and it's a welcome change from the ultra-liberal corporate social justice warriors over at Starbucks. We've also tried the location in San Marcos, and it too was very good. read more

Great coffee, cute building, very friendly, good prices also merchandise to buy a must place to get coffee

Fantastic nitro cold brew coffee! Super friendly baristas, and well worth the extra effort to get here vs big name coffee chains.

Love this location!!! Staff is super friendly , coffee is amazing, and ordering ahead on the app always ensures my coffee(s) are ready and waiting for me!! read more

You just have to try it! My favorite is the matcha latte but all their drinks are soooo yummy!

Really great vibe, friendly and professional staff, great coffee. Just so nice to see Friendly Faces

I love this small town, the people in it, and this cozy coffee shop. I came with my son this morning for some much needed caffeine. I learned this morning that they do not have fresh brewed dark roast, they only sell the beans. I decided on a medium roast drip coffee and was not disappointed. The barista at the counter was very polite in telling me what was available, which was much appreciated. I also entered my phone number in the 5star keypad, and ended up getting my coffee for free. A nice lady was in front of us in line, talking to my son and I. She helped me roll my son's sleeve up, which was the sweetest because she saw my other hand was full. Upon receiving my coffee at the bar, another sweet lady helped me put the lid of my coffee cup - "I'm a mom, too, I'm happy to help." I have had the BEST experience here this morning. I've had a couple of good experiences at Summermoon a couple times prior, but this morning takes the cake. Driving away with a good cup of Joe to get me going, and a smile on my face. Pay it forward. read more

Summer Moon is our go to for weekend coffee runs. Love the whisper moon. We buy their beans for our weekday brews at home too! Love their light roast beans! read more

I came to this place yesterday as highly recommended by a friend who lives in the area. And I would rely on her recommendations because this place- cute ambiance, health-conscious friendly and the best part is their chai is really good. As a non coffee drinker, I appreciate good chai with almond milk. I got their iced spiced chai and then today, I just had to come again and this time I got their hot chai. Both are equally mouthwatering delicious. I had their taco breakfast yesterday. I wanted spinach one, but the were out so I got the potato one with egg and cheese. Y-U-M! Starbucks, you dont stand a chance against this place's chai! Summermoon, if you want to franchise, consider DC! :) read more

Good coffee. Moon milk is magically. The service leaves a lot to be desired- I don't blame it on the staff but on the management for not properly training them. They are all friendly and can make all the drinks well, but they are kids who need to be trained up on the customer experience. There's also the issue of their ownership's being VERY anti choice. If that's your belief- cool. I just have a hard time putting my money there. But if that's your cup of coffee, you won't be disappointed. read more

Helpful staff! First time I was there I wasn't sure what to get and the lady that was taking my order helped me select something delicious! Can't wait to try more! Their breakfast tacos are yummy too! read more

Love the iced hot chocolate & frozen lemonade.. not a coffee person, but I'll keep trying others on the menu, next time tea..

Came here to get some work done... love trying new coffee shops, but this was such a disappointment. Their WiFi lets you google and then stops loading every other page. Waste of time visiting a stingy coffee shop. Off to Starbucks... :( read more

Cute coffee shop in downtown Buda! I'm not a huge coffee fan and of course that's why they are so popular but I do order their fruit smoothies and I mix all 3 flavors together and it taste like heaven on a hot day! Always a nice vibe when walking in and the music they play is on point! read more
