First off, i'm never a fan of places that don't have the prices listed which brought my review down. We got some mango sorbet, fruity pebbles ice cream, sandillada, and beef empalme. The ice cream was decent especially the mango sorbet. The sandillada was a disappointment. The "chamoy ice cream" was like a watery red syrup pooling around frozen watermelon. The empalme was actually pretty good and the hot sauce it came with was the highlight of the whole order. The sausage though? Very cheap and unimpressive. read more

We tried their burger with fries, chicken wings, ceviche, chicken tenders, banana split, fruit cups and mango, cucumber lime, limonada agua frescas and all the food was great! I love their fruit cups because it comes with a good variety of fruit, like kiwi which is not usually used other fruterías and it was all fresh. Their banana split was huge and worth every penny, made like the old days, the way they're supposed to be made! They also have a huge menu so you'll find something! read more

Stopped by and tried a number of items: cup of elotes, nachos, spicy chicken sandwich, limonada and some loaded spicy Lays chips. 5 stars across the board! Beware, online and in store menu prices are cheaper than what they actually charge. I was charged an extra $1.49 for a new menu item (the Bionico) and was told it's because the menu hasn't been updated. Online it's $6 and store menu it's $6.49, but they charge $7.49! I don't mind paying but just be clear about it. The service was nice. The food was good. The atmosphere was nothing special. read more

Fabulous! The interior is clean, modern and cheerful. I stopped in to get some treats for family on the way home. Busy, but keeping up with the orders just fine. I got a "Mango of Thrones", a Mangonada and a Cocada. All had top notch fruit, perfectly creamy (and flavor-matched) ice cream and plenty of the additions (Tajin, Chamoy, Etc). I noted my craving for Ceviche and the proprietor gave me a sample. His confidence was well-founded. It was balanced and heavy on the citrus which I prefer. I promised to repay the kindness by coming back for some vittles. Two days later I was back with my Wife for a late lunch. I had a Loaded Micheleta and a Verde Pork Skin Gordita while the better half got a tostada. It took a bit, but that's because they were preparing the Gordita by hand. I'm really not a pork skin fan, but I'd just had Lengua, Birria and such the day before so I figured there should be some pig in there. The Verde was great. So was the sauce at the table might I add. It's like 57 Sauce with added nuance. The Micheleta was properly loaded. I would very much prefer brisket slices over the dried beef for flavor compliments, but otherwise it was great. I didn't try the Wife's food, but she said it was great as well. I'm looking forward to going back two more times before I head back to Iowa. Once for Chamoy and Queso Ice Cream. The other for some of their TostiCeviche and Empalme. I really couldn't be more impressed so far. Keep up the great job! read more
