Yooooo this place was good. I got too much ice cream though! I haven't tried their popsicles, but I bet they would be good! read more

Since we're not from the South Austin area we wanted to try a dessert spot down there while visiting a friend and he highly recommended La Ola Pop Shop down in Kyle. Luckily for us, his recommendation was spot on as La Ola is a great little ice cream shop with a large variety of different cures to whatever your sweet tooth desires. Parking is pretty accessible as it's in a small strip of stores and restaurants and there's ample outdoor seating as well to take in a nice summer night. The interior of the store is also nice and clean, making you feel like you're in a well run place from the moment you step in. We ordered a banana pudding scoop in a cone and a scoop of the Cookie Monster in a cup. The line here moves pretty quickly which is good so we didn't have to wait long from the moment we entered to the moment we began eating outside. The ice cream was delicious. The banana pudding tastes just as advertised with chunks of Nilla wafer throughout the bites, incredibly spot on. The Cookie Monster also tasted great, essentially a cookies and cream scoop dyed blue, but why not have a bit of fun with it? The whole experience was great and if ice cream isn't your thing they have numerous other options like shakes and ice pops to get you by. The only ding we can think of is that the trash outside was overrunning and looked like it hadn't been changed in hours. Nevertheless, we're very glad we stopped by here to get a sweet treat and would highly recommend it to anyone in the far South Austin/Kyle area looking to cool off on a summer night. read more

One of the best in the Austin area. The shop is small and cute, you walk in get your pick of so many different flavors. They also will suggest things to add on (I had no idea) that will just take things over the top! Great product and will have me going back time and time again. read more

I know it's only been a week and I'm supposed to be on a diet, but I had to come back. I'm normally a mint chocolate chip person so I tried the mint Oreo. I didn't expect to like it as much as the bubblegum and my husband was ready to finish it for me. Oh well, he didn't get a chance. We have another winner! What would make this a little better? A few chocolate slivers throughout so I get my crunch. But even without it, I have my second go to! Son in law is stuck on the cookie monster and the rest of the family were not in the mood. The staff are so helpful and the shop gets full quick! Even on a rainy day! We will be back! read more

The La Ola Shop is a cute little ice cream shop here in Kyle. I have tried some of my favorite flavors there and well they are now my new favorites They make their own waffle cones I believe and they are quite tasty. Rocky Road and pistachio ice creams are my favorite. I have tried the strawberry popsicle which I found enjoyable. Pleasantly surprised by how much I loved visiting this spot. The concept/execution is super simple, but really good. Really cool concept! I really love all the selection, from their ice creams to their popsicles. They have some flavors that are both in ice cream form and popsicle form. It was cool to be able to compare the flavor and texture of both of these styles! A great idea for a dessert shop considering how hot these summers get! Definitely going to come back here for more! read more

This place is DANGEROUS. I could come here every single day without issue. The service was very friendly and patient with each customer as they chose their delectable dessert! They were also super quick, efficient and got through the line fast! We got the cookies and cream paleta, lime and cucumber paleta, and I got the chocolate dipped strawberry paleta. Each one was perfect. Not too sweet, just right. Light and such a perfect treat on a warm day. I actually liked the lime cucumber paleta the best; it was so refreshing and delicious! We have gone back again since, and we can't wait to continue to go here regularly for great service and the perfect summer treat! Maybe we'll get some ice cream next time! read more

Best Pop shop in Kyle...I would even say in Central Texas! I have a few favorites but my favorite is their strawberry cheesecake ice cream. They make it all in house! Friendly staff and the shop is nicely decorated. Their location is great right next to a local pizza place and TexMex restaurant. I have also ordered here via UberEats and the quality is consistent. read more

La Ola Pop Shop - Mangonada - Desserts Near Me - Kyle, Texas

Perfect place for dessert or to cool off on a hot day (pretty much every day it seems). There are some large tables to sit on outside, though i don't recall there being much indoor seating if any. They offer a lot of different items, but primarily popsicles of maaaany flavors, and ice cream. They also have mangonadas, which I'm a particularly huge fan of. We got a popsicle/mangonada combo for a reasonable price. The popsicle had cucumber, mango, watermelon, and pineapple (it's called insanity), and it is in fact insanley good and refreshing! And also got a mangonada, which has super fresh mangos and a mango sorbet - highly recommended especially if you like mangos. Overall a perfect choice for something tasty, unique, and refreshing on a hot day! read more

I think I just found my go-to paleta shop! My in-laws came to visit and we actually were Cabela's and I wanted ice cream. Found this place on yelp, and I was impressed! The shop seems fairly new, layout allows for crowds, there's a cute grass wall to take pictures. Not only do they have paletas, they also have handscoops of ice cream and sherbet. I love how they have unique flavors of paletas and they also sell mangonadas. They also have benches outside so you can enjoy your ice cream while being in the sun. I'll definitely come by again and maybe I'll even take some paletas to go! read more

Omg when I tell you this is the best ice cream and pops I've ever had I mean it. My favorite has to be their gansito ice cream it is so delicious. The employees are super amazing too. Very good and tasty n the ladies at the counter are equally sweet. Nice execution! They're always very friendly

Everyone loves ice cream. But this lil store front takes ice cream to a new level for comfort. It's decorated nice and the community loves them. I get excited whenever I'm able to visit them. I'm working on a small food cart/trailer to franchise with them in Houston and Tyler, TX in the near future. They're awesome and the variety of options and ingredients are fresh to the season. You can taste the quality and organic freshness in every, bite, lick or sip depending on what you order. :) read more

The selection of pops and ice cream creations is second to very few, if any. The staff is always kind and helpful. The joint is always clean somehow. We have never come away unhappy. Paletas are Mexican frozen treats (that I believe) are made to be eaten any time of the year and every day that it is remotely humid and hot outside whiiiich pretty much has been every day in Texas this year regardless of the "seasons". La Ola Pop has milk and water based pops, ice creams, yogurts, and freshly made smoothies to satisfy your paleta needs. You have so many choices here for even the traditional paletas you can grab yourself from the nice cool sliding door coolers. You have a choice to dip your paleta in chocolate for 50 cents or have it dipped in chocolate WITH nuts for 75 cents! Imagine taking that coconut milk-based paleta and adding the dipps chocolate with nuts on it?!! My mouth is salivating just thinking about it! Water-based paletas flavors include at $1.99 fresa limon mango mango + kiwi mango con chile (chile powder with light salt) tamarindo melon jamaica hibiscus guallava/guava sandia/watermelon pina/pineapple pina con chile uva/grape Milk-based paletas include at $2.99 vanilla chocolate fresa horchata (sweet iced rice milk) nuez/pecan pistachio fresas con creme blueberry peaches and cream raspberry oreo ciruela pasa/plum cafe (coffee) coconut Sit inside, jam to some reggae music, and ponder the happenings in downtown Kyle, TX. Or just take your lime paleta and walk it over to one of the bars down the street and add it to some lemonade + vodka if the bartender will let ya ;-) read more

Very interesting spot. The owner is very nice and charming. If ur looking for unique check it out.

I bring my daughter here twice or three times a week and my 6 year old daughter drops her scoop because it was over filled. The male worker before I could even finish my sentence he tells me he HAS to charge me for another one. This is so wild that this is the way employees are trained to handle these situations. As a previous restaurant manager I'd never handle this in that manner. Please do better. read more
