This location very close to my place of employment and I often find myself picking up last minute items when we're having events involving food. The produce is always super fresh and they have some amazing baked goods too. Perfect treats for our meetings and events. Who doesn't love fresh fruit and baked goods during the workday? The hot deli bar has been a great source for weekday lunches. When my growling stomach interrupts my work, I can fill up easily there. They've got a lunch meal deal where you can an entree and two sides for around $12. Can't beat that! I always have leftovers too. And, can't forget the great dim sum and imported food offerings. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it is actually an Asian grocery store. I was in the area and decided to stop in because I buy my green tea at Asian grocery stores. The selection is incredible, and the prices are usually much better than what you'll find at big-box grocery stores. Once inside, I quickly realized that 99 Ranch Market is much more than just a grocery store. It offers a wide variety of fresh produce, live seafood, quality meats, frozen foods, snacks, and pantry staples from across Asia. One of my favorite parts of shopping at 99 Ranch is browsing the colorful packaging. Many of the products feature bold artwork, vibrant colors, and whimsical characters that make every aisle feel like a new adventure. Also, 99 Ranch also has a food court, bakery, and tea shop. Several staff members approached me asking me if I needed help. And yes...I left with my green tea. Now that I know what 99 Ranch Market really is, when I drive by I will chuckle to myself remembering that I thought it was a nightclub.

Furthermore, hydroponics doesn't always offer the best in flavor, and the cross country trip mass-market produce makes takes a toll on quality and perishability. You can taste the difference in crisp and flavor. Plus, I've often gotten 2-3 weeks from some of their greens. The great news is you don't have to drive to Rogers to take advantage of their wholesome goodness. They are a regular featured supplier to both Austin Wheatsville stores and a permanent fixture at the Texas Farmer's Market at Mueller on Sundays. I will warn that they bring a lot, but they also sell-through fast, so best get there early when they open if you don't want to miss out. And, if you go to the farmer's market, say hi to Ben, the owner. Yes, he runs his own stand. He's that involved and he cares that much.

So when I came to Austin, I just assumed they didn't have one, but to my surprise, I discovered the ALDI sign as I was driving to another store. I find my go-to and mostly a variety of food that I love. I find other items I haven't tried before, but now do. They also have the best selection of meats, veggies, and fruit. The freshest of fruit, I must add. I love the wide selection of candies, crackers, and cookies. My favorite is the miniature Reese's cups and the fruit gummies. I like that when I can't find an item, someone is there to help. I like the layout of the store; it's very open with maybe 4 to 5 aisles. I like that they are very friendly at the cash register.
