Came in for a quick bite, looking for a charbroiled burger. Wow! Just wow, freshly made burgers with fresh ingredients. I ordered the Inferno burger and my husband ordered the Blazin burger. The combo comes with fries and drink. The fries were a large thick cut crispy and golden to perfection. Nothing fancy about this place, but it was clean. Including the restrooms. Burgers here have a nice homemade taste. thoroughly cooked, flame-licked flavor to the patties. these are larger sized burgers, the double meat is hefty. not spicy, as the name might suggest (thank goodness). burgers and fries are not "staged" as many other fast-burger places do, which serve you cold food. No, this place cooks the food fresh and served hot, and *well worth the extra wait time*. OK - is this technically a "gas station burger"? Because I would never believe I'd ever give 5 stars to a "gas station burger". However.... We finally decided to give this place a try. Being our 1st time here, and not knowing the size of the burgers, we got one single & one double. Neither of us are a huge fan of chipotle on burgers, so we asked them to sub that out for just plain mayo. Other than that, there were no changes to either burger. We also both got the fries. First observation: Of course I had to pop a fry into my mouth while they are hot. I'm not someone who goes out of my way for fries, I can usually take them or leave them. Well - that opinion has changed. O M G these fries were amazing! Super crispy, hot, fresh - the way fries should be!! Even sitting here now typing this - my mouth is watering and it's all I can do to not jump in the car just to go get an order of fries! The burgers: the double is REALLY big. Single was plenty, but I know everyone has their own preference on that. I really appreciated the wonderfully grilled bun, it made such a difference. The toppings were great, and evenly distributed, not all piled up in one spot. It really tasted like a burger you could have made fresh at home. The atmosphere is good; however, the ordering process was a nightmare. My order needed to be fixed and I had a hard time understanding the cashier. Part of the problem (in my opinion) is the name of each burger. I also wish they didn't charge extra for basic lettuce, tomatoes, etc. I could not taste the green chili...I get it, this is not El Paso/Hatch new mexico. As a recommendation, perhaps only charge for green chili? Other than that, everything else was good. read more
