Another hot tub repair company said my Jacuzzi from the year 2000 was beyond repair, but Sensible Spas was able to order the parts and fix it--and all within a week. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

When Covid started and we moved into a new house, we decided it was the time to spring for a hot tub. I live in Oakland, but a friend referred me to Sensible Spas so I drove out to Livermore to check them out. It could not have been more worth it. Sean was great and helped us find the perfect hot tub. He came by to deliver it the next day, at a very reasonable price, and was incredibly helpful in terms of answering all my first-time buyer questions. I'm so happy we got a hot tub and couldn't have done it without Sean. read more

I think the most valuable reviews come from customers who have something go wrong. Seeing how a company handles problems tells others a great deal. We purchased a hot tub from Sensible Spa's a few months ago. We noticed that it was losing water at a slow rate. They went to great lengths to ensure it was fixed, including hauling it back to their shop and completely resealing it. A couple months later it developed another issue and was shutting off after a short time running. The technician determined that the pump needed replacing and did so on the same day with an upgraded pump. Any mechanical item can have problems no matter who you buy it from or who made it. The people you buy things from make all the difference. The people at Sensible Spas have demonstrated fine character and support. If you want a Hot Tub, this is the place to get one! read more

We have had our Caldera Niagara spa for almost a year now and have been so pleased with Sensible Spas and their customer service. First off Debbie was who I was in contact with and was told it could take 2 months before she got her next delivery of spas. She asked for my contact info, what my preference of spa was, color, etc. and told me she would contact me when she could put in her next order. After only 3 weeks she contacted me that there was a Caldera spa that was available and within a week we had our spa delivered and electric set up. Bill and Sean were here for delivery and made sure everything was perfect and ready for us to enjoy that same day. Even after some months and I had trouble with getting the spa chemistry right Sean came over to check the water and educate me on what I needed to do. Very happy we went with our local Caldera dealer and could not be happier. read more

Bill responded quickly, Kenny came out quickly... Sad news about our 20 year old free hot tub... it was going to cost to repair, with no guarantee... No hard sales, just honest opinion of the old tub... so off to the shop to search for a new one... Bill showed a great one for my contractor husband to recharge it.. it is awesome... it was delivered and set up the next day... and we were in it that night... (surprisingly) Grandson loves it too.... GO SEE BILL at Sensible Spas for your new hot tub!! you will not regret it. Karen & Scott read more

My spa was delivered in December unfortunately the pump was factory defective it lasted less than an hour. Fortunately Sensible Spas stands behind their guarantee and the two men who returned were polite and helpful and replaced the defective pump and all is excellent. This business was given an opportunity to show their customer care service and nailed it. read more

Good knowledge of product and great customer service. Bought a spa 7 years ago from them and have had no issues whatsoever.

The motor in our spa was on it's last leg so we called Bill from Sensible Spas. He arrived on time and even helped me finish draining my spa as it was taking forever to finish draining. He meticulously removed and installed a new motor in a timely fashion. He refilled the spa for me and stayed around to do a test run on the new motor to make sure we were good to go .We purchased our spa from his company and we found their prices fair and their service is excellent! We're staying with Bill for all our spa needs from now on. Thanks Bill! read more

Was lucky enough to find Sensible Spas when looking for a hot tub company on the internet. Went to their shop and young man was so helpful and knowledgeable. Delivery was just as easy, and they answered any questions we had before they left. Would recommend. read more

We did some research on different spas and shops in the area. Ended up choosing to go with Sensible because of their selection of spas, competitive pricing and most importantly their service. I liked that it is a family owned business and has been around for about 20 years. We didn't get the hard pressure sales and felt like they were giving us honest advice on the different spas and not trying to up sell us. Also, really nice to know that you will have an actual person to call if there are any service issues down the road. read more

Whilst so many people have been waiting up to a year for a hot tub. This family owned business installed my beautiful sparkling spa in just over 2 months. They took care of the whole installation via crane in the Orinda Hills. They came round to check out the space, sent the excellent electrician, Mario and guided me, courteously through the whole process. Bill even starred in our home made 'how to maintain the spa ' videos. They have subsequently followed up and I'm confident will provide outstanding aftercare. Thank you Debbie & Bill and the whole team. We love our new Caldera spa, which is an incredible, quality product and we feel really lucky that we were introduced to your business! read more

This was my first spa purchase and the team at Sensible Spas were super helpful and patient with me. Their showroom has a great selection of spas which allowed me to see various features and options up close, as well as get all my questions answered. As this was my first spa, I was a little nervous about the installation and set up process, but the Sensible Spa team was there for me the whole way and it all went super smooth. My new spa is awesome. Great experience all around! read more

Excellent! Debbie was very knowledgeable and helpful. Selection was impressive. They delivered within two days to Arnold whereas we were quoted by another company a six month delay, and the price was not competitive to what Sensible spas offered. The delivery to Arnold was very well done, professional, and the startup process well explained. Highly recommend. read more

Two of my friends bought their hot tubs from Sensible Spas so when I wanted one, they were one of the first places I visited. Contrary to most other retailers, I was able to buy a spa I saw on the floor, brand new, in stock, and have it delivered and installed the very next week!! The service was amazing, the price was even better! read more

Costco: 20% more expensive, 2 months to ship, delivered to driveway. Sensible: discounted price for the same spa, delivered in 2 days and they did the entire set up + trained me on maintenance. These folks are the best, I'm only sorry I won't need to buy another one anytime soon! read more

I bought my spa, a small triangular Aquaterra (3 person that really fits 2) about 15 years ago from Sensible Spas and it still works great. I would recommend anybody buy their Spa from Sensible Spas; the prices are reasonable, they have a great showroom and selection (now that Covid supply problems are better), and best of all, they can service them and get replacement parts. The only things I've done is had Bill come out to replace the controller switch pad, and I'm on my 2nd new cover which I picked up at their shop, but they can deliver as well. I've called Bill several times with minor problems like priming and programming and he's walked me through it and I was able to fix it myself. They are really good when you have questions regarding servicing or getting parts. My cover took a long time to get because of all the supply chain problems but Debbie in the office kept me in the loop and it finally arrived from the manufacturer. With Sensible Spas servicing parts and repairs, I'm hoping to keep my spa going for a long time. I buy my hard-to-find filters from them too since I never get the right ones when I've tried Amazon. read more

My husband and I walked in and were greeted by Sean. Though they're appointment only, Sean showed us around, answered all of our questions, and even let us get in to the tubs to get a feel! We left feeling well informed and not pressured in the least. Sean provided us with the contact info. for their electrician, because we wanted a site-inspection before making our final purchase. Mario, the electrician, came out the very next day. He was thoroughly inspected our property to ensure we knew what kind of hot tub our property could support. He was friendly and professional. We purchased the hot tub the very next day. The delivery and electrical installation went off without a hitch. We've been it the hot tub every day since our purchase. We love it! We also know that if we have any questions, Sensible Spas and Mario are always available to support us. read more

After reading all the great reviews for Sensible Spa, we kinda knew we were going to buy our replacement hot tub from them. True to reviews....Bill & Kathy were so easy to work with, and professional. They explained the entire process, step by step, and everything happened just as they'd predicted. Kudos to Sean who explained in detail the different spas available and which one would work best for us at this time. The delivery and removal of our old hot tub went smoothly and Sean came back and showed us how to use all the different options. Was nice to deal with local "family" owned business and not a big box store. The only way to go, especially if you live in Livermore. read more

Our 30 year old hot tub gave up the ghost, so we decided to replace it. We found Sensible Spa on line and boy, are we glad we did! They are really a great deal. We bought a replacement from Debbie ( who was most helpful) that is smaller to suit our needs, and the poor guys at Sensible Spas had to remove the "Cadillac Grande" 10,000 size one we needed removed. They managed it with difficulty, but were able to do so! The electrician Saul was great. My husband is an electrical engineer and he was most impressed when Saul successfully brought our electrical up to code and change out the box. Bill has been really terrific to work with as we now have the spa up and running. Thank you to all the team. read more

Now I know why this place has a 5-star rating. If you need a hottub, this place will probably be able to get you one delivered to your backyard/patio as early as TOMORROW! The entire experience from chatting with Bill about what kind of tub would be best for my needs, all the way to Bill and Sean delivering the hottub to my place was SOOO easy and pleasant. If you're thinking about ordering a tub from Costco or any other site, please first take a look at what Sensible has in their inventory... they might just have the exact tub you were looking to buy or maybe something even better, for hundreds off the retail price because it has a small scuff or scratch (which aren't even noticeable). It'll put you at ease knowing Bill is in Livermore in case you ever have any problems/concerns with your tub. Thank you Bill and Sean for the efficient and enjoyable purchase experience. I will be recommending anyone who needs a tub in the bay area to Sensible Spas. read more

My mom started looking for hot tubs a few years back but wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger. However, Sean and his team were always there to answer any questions and concerns or offer support during that time. After multiple visits, we finally decided to purchase a spa, and we couldn't be happier with the final product. The purchase, delivery, and prep work to get the space ready was professionally done from electrical to concrete to installing the spa itself. Their team has been available for multiple questions, tutorials, and support. We will recommend sensible spas for their honesty, integrity, & ethical business practices from start to finish, and their speediness to get the project done. Everyone that they recommended for us to call to get the work accomplished for the concrete and electrical were five star. This is an honest and top tier business, and we will be returning for all our future spa needs!! Thank you Sean and Debbie for making our backyard into an oasis! read more

Great prices and service, worth the drive! We went to look at the returned/scratch and dent spas and not only got a good deal, they matched the Costco sale price on the model we wanted. Although Costco has free delivery to the driveway only, so it was well worth paying a little more for them not only to deliver, but put it where we wanted and set it all up. We got the spa at great price and full guarantee - I wouldn't shop for a spa anywhere else. read more

Bill Franks is The Hot Tub Guy! We bought our spa from Sensible Spas 10 years ago after we moved into our new home that was without a spa. We knew Bill through my wife's business, and gave him a visit at his showroom to in Livermore. He found the perfect spa for us that fit our budget, and after I completed the platform, Bill installed it. We use the spa nearly every day, and in ten years we've only had to call Bill a couple times for service. He shows up when he says he will, and gets the job done! I really appreciate the follow-up Bill does after the repair to make sure we are satisfied. I can recommend Sensible Spas without hesitation. They are a great local small business. Why give your money to Costco or some huge chain of spa stores? Give Sensible Spas a call and see what Bill can do for you! read more

This is a review of Bill. We attempted to have Bill come out to the Tracy area to look at our leaking spa. We were quoted $180 to look at it. We agreed without having any idea what the further cost might be. Bill kept finding excuses not to come out to look at it for two weeks. He was well aware that we took the day off from work so as to meet him at the house today. He kept postponing every couple of hours. His last comment was to arrive after 4, which obviously is too late when it is dusk at 4:30 this time of year. He has very poor customer service and communication skills, but we were putting up with it because we were hoping to get the spa fixed. If Bill didn't plan on coming out to this area, he should've just stated it to begin with. Very disappointed. read more

Recently purchased a spa from Sensible spas in Livermore. Debbie was super friendly and helpful while I shopped around their warehouse. She was not pushy or impatient. After choosing a spa, it was a very simple process to set up the delivery. A few days later, Debbie's husband, Bill, and a crew of two men arrived at my home, took out my old spa, which was not an easy undertaking, and installed the new one. All of this was done in a very meticulous, and professional manner. All 3 guys were very friendly and answered all my questions pertaining to the use of the new spa. So far, the spa has been awesome. Overall, a great experience working with a Sensible Spas in Livermore, I would highly recommend them if you're in the market for a spa. Brad Hoy read more
