I was in the market for a hot tub and had been mainly checking Costco, but I'm glad I came across Sensible Spas on Facebook. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They guided me toward the AquaTerra Del Mar, a plug-and-play model that's also sold at Costco. They explained features I didn't even know about--like the diverter valve that lets you concentrate jet power on one side, which is perfect since it's usually just me using it. What really sets Sensible Spas apart from Costco is the full-service experience. They handle delivery, setup, and a full walkthrough of how to use and maintain the tub. When you buy their chemical starter kit, they even add the chemicals and balance the water for you. Plus, they provide future maintenance and repair support, something Costco doesn't offer. If you're in Livermore and looking for a hot tub, I truly can't recommend this place enough! First, the customer service: Beth was absolutely wonderful. She made the entire decision-making process so easy--guiding me through options for color, steps, lifters, and the water care system. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind. I never felt overwhelmed, and left feeling confident I had chosen the perfect spa for our needs. Then came delivery and setup: Bill Frank and his team were fantastic. My wife and I purchased out spa from here in 2020. They were great to work with and setup our spa and walked us through everything. Since then, we've moved homes and Sensible helped us move the spa to our new home. Now, a year later there, the cover had deteriorated and needed replaced. I did some looking online and called Sensible. Their price was the same for the cover and it was from the manufacturer. I paid for them to deliver the cover and haul away the old one which was a great deal. They were at the house for maybe 15 minutes and swapped everything out. read more

So instead of just "selling us" and worrying about service later, they recommended we find a closer place. I bought a small spa almost 4 years ago and after not using it for a few weeks, discovered that the spa cover on one-half (it's a bi-fold) was waterlogged. I called them and spoke to Debbie who said she would see if they had any in stock. She called me back the next day to say that they had one, and I was able to get an appt for delivery within 1-2 days. A pleasant young man arrived with the new cover, drained and carted off the old cover, and then drained and cleaned the tub. All in just under an hour! These guys are great. read more

I purchased my spa from Sensible Spas back in 2018 if my memory serves me correctly. I had done a bunch of research and pretty much knew what I was looking for, but wanted to see some spas in person. So I went to Sensible Spas as they were close-by. Debbie and Bill took a crazy amount of time with me, answering all my questions and showing me the different models that would suit my needs. Fast forward to 2025 - I still call Debbie and Bill when I need replacement parts (cover, pillows, etc). They are always quick to respond and to deliver (in the case of the cover). When we bought our current house, we immediately had to tear out the broken hot tub shell and all the worthless plumbing and heating equipment that sat unused for years.  We had always wanted to replace it with a new hot tub.  We dutifully put money away every month for this.  We read articles and visited several stores and on-line websites in order to get to know quality and brands and prices.  Then I got a bonus at work and wanted this plan to bear fruit.  We accelerated our shopping but still kept coming up short on what we wanted versus what we had saved.  Then we got a recommendation to visit Sensible Spas in Livermore.  It was a little further than we had planned to go, but definitely closer than any of the on-line places we considered, so we went there.  What a different place this was!  Bill had at least four different spas up and running so our whole family could climb in each one and experience it instead of just reading about it and imagining.  That really helped to narrow down which one was the right fit for us. I have bought the chemicals for my spa from here for the past four years. Wish that I had also bought a spa from them. When I couldn't get any help from the Marquis dealer where I purchased the spa, nor a second Marquis dealer, nor trying to get parts on-line or through one of their factory stores, I asked Sensible Spas for advice. They confirmed the difficulty in getting parts, made suggestions. Ultimately, I got the parts that I needed only by elevating the issue to Marquis corporate, but when I showed Sensible Spa the part in person, they told me "we won't leave you hanging" and sent someone out to get the part traded out. (So now I also know how to get the screen off with a needle-nose pliers). They only charged me a nominally time/transit fee. Finally, I was back in business after month of run around from Marquis. By far my best experience buying anything in a very long time. First off, when I went there I spoke to a gentleman named Sean and he listened to me and my budget. He didn't try and sell me something way over my budget and he explained about different hot tubs and what's important and showed me s couple but said that's not your hot tub. That he has a perfect one for me. He then showed me one and it was perfect. The price I needed, to the option, and it showed he really was listening to me. Then he gave me s name of an electrician to call for an estimate and I told him I have friends who are electricians but I'll call him. Can't hurt. His name was Mario. He came out, and just an awesome guy, super knowledgeable, and gave an estimate lower then what I expected. I hired him on the spot. I called my friend who is an electrician and confirmed it was a great price. Then came the delivery. It was awesome!!! Bill the owner of the spa place comes out, the electrician comes out, and they get it into your backyard, set up, tutorial and does not leave until I had all my questions answered.
