I was in the market for a hot tub and had been mainly checking Costco, but I'm glad I came across Sensible Spas on Facebook. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They guided me toward the AquaTerra Del Mar, a plug-and-play model that's also sold at Costco. They explained features I didn't even know about--like the diverter valve that lets you concentrate jet power on one side, which is perfect since it's usually just me using it. What really sets Sensible Spas apart from Costco is the full-service experience. They handle delivery, setup, and a full walkthrough of how to use and maintain the tub. When you buy their chemical starter kit, they even add the chemicals and balance the water for you. Plus, they provide future maintenance and repair support, something Costco doesn't offer. My wife and I purchased out spa from here in 2020. They were great to work with and setup our spa and walked us through everything. Since then, we've moved homes and Sensible helped us move the spa to our new home. Now, a year later there, the cover had deteriorated and needed replaced. I bought a small spa almost 4 years ago and after not using it for a few weeks, discovered that the spa cover on one-half (it's a bi-fold) was waterlogged. I called them and spoke to Debbie who said she would see if they had any in stock. She called me back the next day to say that they had one, and I was able to get an appt for delivery within 1-2 days. A pleasant young man arrived with the new cover, drained and carted off the old cover, and then drained and cleaned the tub. All in just under an hour! These guys are great. read more

When we bought our current house, we immediately had to tear out the broken hot tub shell and all the worthless plumbing and heating equipment that sat unused for years.  We had always wanted to replace it with a new hot tub.  We dutifully put money away every month for this.  We read articles and visited several stores and on-line websites in order to get to know quality and brands and prices.  Then I got a bonus at work and wanted this plan to bear fruit.  We accelerated our shopping but still kept coming up short on what we wanted versus what we had saved.  Then we got a recommendation to visit Sensible Spas in Livermore.  It was a little further than we had planned to go, but definitely closer than any of the on-line places we considered, so we went there.  What a different place this was!  Bill had at least four different spas up and running so our whole family could climb in each one and experience it instead of just reading about it and imagining.  That really helped to narrow down which one was the right fit for us. I have bought the chemicals for my spa from here for the past four years. Wish that I had also bought a spa from them. When I couldn't get any help from the Marquis dealer where I purchased the spa, nor a second Marquis dealer, nor trying to get parts on-line or through one of their factory stores, I asked Sensible Spas for advice. They confirmed the difficulty in getting parts, made suggestions. Ultimately, I got the parts that I needed only by elevating the issue to Marquis corporate, but when I showed Sensible Spa the part in person, they told me "we won't leave you hanging" and sent someone out to get the part traded out. (So now I also know how to get the screen off with a needle-nose pliers). They only charged me a nominally time/transit fee. Finally, I was back in business after month of run around from Marquis.
