We give Aqua Gunite 5 stars from start to finish of our pool repair. We had a major leak in our pool. There was a crack all along the deep end of the pool. The plaster had to be removed from the entire pool. The leak in the skimmer had to be repaired. They had to place new rebar and gunite in the crack as well as rebuilding the steps. They replaced the plumbing as well. The owner checked on our pool during the process. His son, Jose, who is cordial and professional and super knowledgeable of all aspects of pool repair, responded immediately to texts and emails. There were several crews to work on the different phases of the project. They were all polite and wanted the best outcome for their part in the process. They were very considerate to keep the job site tidy. We highly recommend this Aqua Gunite company. read more

Aqua gunite did a complete pool renovation for us. It began in October or November of 2021 and was finally completed in May of 2022. There were delays in shipments because of COVID. Our final product looked very beautiful with Pebble Brilliance Vivid Shores surfacing our pool and spa, Salado cream tumbled coping around our pool & topping the retaining wall, and finally a Myra stacked stone retaining wall with three waterfalls and multicolored lighting. The entire project was overseen by Chris Keller from the Livermore office. Now just a side note, our first choice for coping originally from the we were sent to pick from was Navajo Dusty Wave but Chris said they could not get that for some reason so we went with our second choice, Salado cream. When Mr Keller emailed us the original contract to sign he said, "I am sure you will be completely happy and please with the pool and backyard we give you! It will be spectacular!" Fast forward to September of 2023 when to our surprise all of the coping around our beautiful swimming pool is now disintegrating! (See photos) I contacted Aqua Gunite right away and sent them photos. Their response was in essence, 'you picked a crappy stone made out of limestone and it fell apart, that was totally your fault.' Omg they never even gave us a hint in the beginning that the stone we picked was beautiful but "worthless." We aren't pool specialists! How were we to know that the coping would fall apart? As far as I knew, stone is stone and almost lasts forever. When you pay $70,000 to someone to build a pool don't you expect them to have some amount of expertise? Wouldn't they advise you if the around your pool is going to be subpar and fall apart? I was hoping this company would make good on their oversight by replacing the faulty coping with something of standard quality. Or in the very least, "Hey let's go 50/50 on this and call it even." Nope. The best they could do was send me a new bid to remove all of the coping that they had placed and replace it with new coping for $19,000. This pool already cost me $70,000 and it took everything I had. I can't afford another $19,000! I guess for now I'm just stuck. It's my loss read more

They resurfaced our pool less than 10 years ago and rust spots are already showing up. We got a 5-foot crack a few years ago. When they were doing the job they turned the filter off but did not turn off the sweep. I noticed a few days after they started that the sweep motor was still running and as a result, the motor burned out because water was not running through it. They claimed that the motor could run dry...seriously. Even their foreman said it could run dry so I fired them on the spot and had another pool company finish the work. The best part was when they asked me if the sweep was working before they started, really... I do not recommend them at all. read more

Jeez, where do I start? After I agreed to terms an signed the quote in October, I was told that they would drain the pool the first week of November. I reached out to John the last week about scheduling but heard nothing. Came home from work on November 3 to find my pool half empty. There it sat half empty for a month. The demo crew showed up and started using jackhammers at 7:30 in the morning without anybody having called to schedule They would show up without calling and then dissapear for weeks on end. They finally "finished" the job after three and a half months. The plaster looks horrendous even though I specifically followed THEIR instructions. I made the mistake of paying a entire balance even though the plaster is awful. I've been going back-and-forth for almost 2 months with the salesperson. I can't say enough positive about this company. I had 3 quotes and not only were their prices the most competitive but the customer service and overall great experience way exceeded my expectations. David was the one who originally came over to talk with me about the job to be quoted, not only did he start the process he made sure to finish the whole process without missing a day. John and his guys were incredibly professional and a joy to work with. We started with the initial changes to be made and then color and tile selection. Since this was a remodel we wanted something fun and added a shelf, it was the best idea we had. During the selection process John would give us his thoughts and some catalogs as well as web sites. There were a few upgrades and after a few back and fourth's we settled on a design, tiles, finish and placement. The crews came on site the same day as promised, there were a few minor delays due to materials or something small, never more than a few days. The job was completed within a week of the original schedule, but there were a few rain storms during construction too. If I had to do this over again I would hire them as quick as possible, we have already referred a friend to them. read more

There were some bumps that were discovered with the repair, and they fixed them with a price quote up front for any extra repairs. This company and the people who work here are liars and time wasters. We were waiting for them for 2 months to start our project and as the time went by we felt like they were ghosting us. We finally got a confirmation that someone was going to start the project in a few days, but later that day, they decided that our estimate was incorrect. Thought, we left it was unprofessional and unfair changing it after we signed the contract, we were still willing to continue with them. But then things just took a turn. We used Aqua Gunite 2.5 years ago. Sharon was wonderful to work with but I think they have changed ownership or employees. We were happy with the final product and recommended them to several friends who used them as well. Fast forward to today, the pool tiles are falling off and we called to see if someone could come reattach them. After calling serval times, we were able to get someone on the phone who said that they were not responsible for the work anymore. Aqua Gunite is a wonderful company to hire for a pool remodel/resurfacing project. We were very hesitant to begin our project due to the large size of our pool (40k+ gallons), and took 5 years to get around to deciding to do the needed repairs. Our old pool had large cracks in tired, stained plaster with weird little green tiles all covered with some white substance and nasty yellowish grout. We also had a cracked, broken down beach front entry into the pool that was built in the 90's using the wrong type of material. Steve Adams came out and came up with great solutions to replace the tile, fix the cracks and put in the newest pebble resurfacing material. He brought us samples of tiles, flag stones, and pebble materials and many colors to choose from. The estimate was very reasonable so we said yes! The work began 2 weeks after that and was finished within 6 weeks. Steve visited frequently to oversee the work. Every person who worked on the pool from demolition to the finishing touches was professional and friendly. The office staff is very friendly and responsive too. Everyone showed up on time, worked extremely hard, and left no mess behind. I am so happy with our beautiful pool. I highly recommend Aqua Gunite. :-) read more

I had my pool renovated by Aqua Gunite last summer. I appreciated Michael and Chris Wheeler who came to my home and were very friendly and thorough about the types of options I had for my pool. I went with the PebbleTec / Tahoe Blue. It took only a few weeks to get it all completed. Michael and Chris kept in contact with me throughout the process and made sure I knew what was happening throughout the process. The plumber, electrician and gunite crew were awesome to work with. My only issue is that the coping chipped when the pool crew was jack-hammering the old plaster and I'm still waiting for it to be repaired. The owner has not approved this repair. Otherwise, I'd give it 5-stars. read more

We worked with John in October and made it clear we want to start in January to be ready for summer. We asked several times to get the contract so we can go through it and get it signed. Dec 15rd we asked again where the contract is. On Dec 20th we finally got it. We agreed to the price but the payment terms where to lopsided. So we agreed to keep 20%, till the project is finished with the understanding of January starting date. Then the starting date moved already to end of Jan which we also accepted. We received a email confirmation from John on Dec 29, about January start date. We agreed on Jan 8th about payment term but only got Jan 14 th the contract. We signed the same day still with The understanding of end of January start date. Only after signing, John told us a Jan start date is off the table and it would be end of February or March. We feel we got strung along and at no point it was said that the start date can not be held. We feel we were kept deliberately in the dark about the starting date in the hope we do not have any alternative or have to go with Aqua Gunite. We will now cancel the project entirely for this year and will will be finding another contact to give our business too. We were snowballed. This is not how we do business. We are very disappointed as we made arrangements for this to happen in January this year. So disappointed. It was a ~$60k project. Their loss. read more

Do not know where to begin. Wish we would've followed our gut and chose Diablo Pool instead. Our pool was such a hot mess from their lack of communication between different people working there. The pool went $9,000 over budget on months over expected completion. I really feel this was from their lack of providing a quality and thorough estimate/quote of the job. We wanted a Sundeck and they poured it wrong. Although it was 100% their fault of lacking to explain the job they offered to pay for only half to fix then days before fixing it said never mind we would have to pay the full $4,000 to fix because they were tying the labor cost into another nearby pool job, but that job fell threw so we would have to pay. Also, they put the sundeck on the wrong side of the pool!?!?! They left our yard a hot mess. Lack of respect for our home. When they dug out the plumbing they threw the dirt onto our patio furniture, onto our kids sandboxes, our solar pool cover etc and never cleaned up. Needless to say we had to throw away numerous things. They said that wasn't their job to clean up the dirt piles. Plus, they left their own personal trash everywhere ... cigarette butts, soda cans, food wrappers. The accounting depart was so rude every single time we communicated with them. Even when we were trying to make pmnts. Sounded like a bunch of old hags who smoked way too much on the phone and were miserable with life. They have multiple owners who all obviously don't talk to each other and individually are incompetent and rude. This company is a complete shit show - please choose another company. Even if they are a few thousand cheaper in their original quote they will sneak up on you later to over-compensate for that lower quote. We were told they put most of their profit in upfront phases of the pool's job so by the time you get to the middle or end they don't care if you fight them or walk away since they have received their profits by that point. Aqua Gunite recently remodeled my pool and spa and I could not be happier. The entire team was superb in performing their duties starting with John Deffebach, who guided us through the design process and construction process. As we searched through the pool tile books, John was always ready with practical advice and samples. John even mentioned to us to look at using Radiant Fusion from Finest Finish rather than Pebble Tech, and we are thankful he mentioned Radiant Fusion as the finish is absolutely beautiful and comes at a slightly lower cost than Pebble. Two components of Aqua's construction work were particularly impressive. The masonry and tile materials were installed meticulously by the masons. They carefully made the proper measurements and cuts to the tiles and did not make a single shortcut. When the masons completed their work, which took twice as long because the tilework was more complicated than initially thought, the end result was perfection. I was also particularly impressed was their constant communication concerning the construction timeline. We were well informed about the construction commencement date, the timing of various tasks, and final completion. While nobody enjoys change orders, when the team ran into an unexpected issue, they informed me of the issue immediately, discussed the problem and the possible solutions, and then implemented the repair without much delay in the overall construction timeline. If we could give 0 stars we would. The resurfacing of the pool was smooth. Looks good. Workers were friendly and fast. But their office people were horrible. Immediately after we had it resurfaced - the pool was losing half of its water. Something that didn't happen prior to the resurfacing. Logic told us the two were related. We called the office and they were extremely rude to us. I mean - think of the rudest someone has ever been to you and multiply it by 10. "Everyone always blames us for their pool leaks." So apparently this has happened before. Anyways - no help whatsoever in this situation. And our large pool was losing 1/2 its water and we had no idea what was going on because we hadn't moved into the house yet. But our pool service people kept telling us - your pool is 1/2 full. What could have been a 5 star review was not made possible because of horrible customer service. read more

Please learn from our mistake. We have serious buyers remorse about deciding to work with Aqua Gunite. While Mike was a great salesperson, once we signed the contract, our experience and relationship changed dramatically. Once the job started, we never knew if anyone was coming or going. There was no communication expect for when they wanted payment. During the PebbleSheen application process, they applied the wrong product!!. While they called and offered to correct the situation, by that point, they were feeling frustrated. The job was already behind schedule and the project got delayed further. Plus the masonry had just laid the brick and tile (beautifully) and we were concerned that jackhammering the pebblesheen off the pool would loosen and create cracks in the brick and tile. (Long term effects unknown) I thought they offered a discount for all the inconveniences of their mistake (which I thought was a considerate good will offer). Once the job was done and it was time to pay, Sharon contacted me. When I asked about the discount, she got defensive and eventually belligerent with me. Turns out it was a huge miscommunication but when I shared my frustrations about the company and its operations, she turned around and got mad at me for not voicing my discontent earlier. I told her I was trying to be understanding that" things happen" and was exercising patience. She continued to justify their actions/mistakes and lack of customer service because it's a busy season for them. Unbelievable!!! At the end of the day - our pool looks great. But I gave them one star because we believe someone else could have produced the same finished product without the headaches and a lot more customer service. One last note, we moved into our house 3 years ago and we never had any issues with the pool. 3 months after Aqua Gunite finished their job, the lighting fixture in the hot tub had its glass cover blown out to a hundred small fragments and the control panel is completely short circuited and blown. We called an electrician who suggested that water leaked into the lighting unit, which created an electrical surge, which shorted the control system and then burst the glass cover. We called Aqua Gunite to come check the lighting since their work is warrantied for 5 years and we weren't sure if it was related to the work they had done. They flat out refused to send anyone out and insisted there was absolutely no way their work could have had any affect the situation. And there was no way that their work could have caused any issues with a leak in the seal. Repairing/Rebuilding/Building pools cost a lot of money It's a big investment, which is why we are so disappointed. Our experience with Aqua Gunite was one bad thing after another. Even though Aqua Gunite says they warranty their work for 5 years, we believe they have no intentions of honoring their work or offering any assistance when problems arise. Had to call the next day to ask if the rep. came over to do the estimate and he said he forgot and didn't have my phone number. Really? Yes, you had my number because you called me, remember? My husband & I contacted Aqua Gunite back in January to come out & view our pool. We needed to resurface the plaster and change it out to Pebble Tec. Michael & Chris came out and were very pleasant & professional & we instantly connected with them. They promptly got back to us with a proposal for the project & we decided to go with Pebble Sheen. Scheduling for a start date took more time than we thought it would, but everyone in construction is super busy these days. Our pool didn't need restructuring with rebar or electrical, so it was a pretty straight forward job. It starts out with the draining of the pool. Then a crew comes out and strips off the plaster and that's 3 jackhammers going at once, so do give your neighbors a heads up. A couple days later, a large crew shows up with large trucks and applies the new Pebble Sheen to your pool. The whole process took about 2 weeks & the scheduling for the day to day process is done by Sharon in the office & I recommend checking in with her as the job progresses cuz things come up on their end. The post pool start up is super important with the right PH balance of chemicals & the brushing of the pool as the Pebble Sheen needs to cure. My husband took care of that. Michael was very good at returning calls as was Sharon. The crews were very professional and most importantly, super tidy. Hugo is a great foreman & they all work very hard and well together. The pool was stripped, old tile removed and replaced, installed Pebble Sheen Blue Granite.we retained our coping. The job turned great. Mike came to my house months ago, he seemed like a nice guy. I told him exactly what I wanted, he said he would take a few days and get back to me with a proposal. I gave him a check then I didn't hear from him for weeks. I called him multiple times and he did not answer his phone. Finally he answered and tells me he'd call me back in a couple days and thanks me for being patient about everything. A couple of more weeks pass and finally he gets back to me and tells me my start date is July 31 and again he thanks me for my patience and understanding because everything was taking so long. I thought ok, at least the work is going to take place. Then he calls me back and says July 31 doesn't look like it will happen because the construction workers were behind on another project so I say ok. He says he'd call me back with another start date, that was weeks ago. Then two days ago I get a message from Sharon asking me to call her back . I do and let me just say the level of respect she showed me was non existent. For some reason she was argumentative from the beginning of our conversation. I simply told her I was confused about what was going on because mike was supposed to come back to my house and sit down and go over specific details about the materials I wanted yet he hasn't been answering his phone. Then she starts arguing that this is the first time she has had a complaint about mike (I did not make a complaint about mike) and that if I wanted to talk to mike so bad I should call him myself. By this time she is practically yelling at me telling me I'm being combative when all I was trying to do was understand what was going on with my project. Mike tells me July 31st then says not the 31st, Sharon leaves a message saying August 1st. Then when I return her call she says she has to push it out to the middle of August. All I said to her was mike told me from the time he submits the proposal it would only be a 6 to 8 week wait for the project to begin and Sharon losses it and starts telling me all I'm doing is making her mad. Mike told me my project would take one week to complete once started, possibly two weeks at most. I brought this up with Sharon and again she gets upset telling me once they drain my pool it will take at least 2 weeks alone to make my coping. My project hasn't even began yet, I can only imagine what kind of issues would come up if I let this company remodel my pool and spa. read more

We had an ugly black bottom pool, Jose and his team redid the whole thing. It looks amazing! They added a sitting area inside the pool, a water feature which makes it look like the bellagio fountain. They added beautiful lights that change colors, at night it looks so pretty. The work was done on time and his bid was definitely lower than other competitors in our area. Their Pool Surface Made Us Bleed! Beware. We redid our whole pool with this company because of all the great reviews we read and spent the cost of a new small car with them. First of all - it took 3 months to finish since the project was a comedy of errors so we missed summer with a pool. The worst part was when they didn't finish the surface correctly and it made our skin bleed just touching it. Luckily no kids were injured. read more

Unfortunately, after 3 1/2 years, I am amending my review of Aqua Gunite and providing advise on dealing with Aqua Gunite prior and after my pool remodel.. I'm really disappointed with Aqua Gunite's after installation customer service. The pebble sheen color has drastically faded and the tile around the intake filter basket has come loose. (beware that AG's warrant for tile work is only 3 years) so You may want to insist they cover the tile for at least 5 years. Sharon (Office Manager) told me they would need to charge me $275 to come out as I was 6 mos. past the tile warranty. I was incredulous.. after paying $14,000 three years earlier? Really? As far as the pebble sheen fading issue is concerned, she told me to call the manufacturer. I also recommended AG to 2 other customers who purchased remodels from them and they really didn't seem that appreciative. Both other customers were happy with the installation but I have noticed their Pebbletec and Peblesheen pool colors have faded as well. Good Luck! I have a 25,000 galIon pool that was overdue for a full remodel. I researched Pool remodeling companies for over 2 years to replace my old, cracked plaster and tile with new tile and a pebble type finish. Among the pool companies I dealt with were Adams Pools, Corby Gould Pools,Burkett Pools, Coral Pools, Lifetime Pools, Royal Pools and even a few I can't recall. I chose to interview Aqua Gunite on the advice of my pool guy and I am glad I did! Although I was not too thrilled with the salesman, (he cost them half a star), I was impressed with Sharon (the construction manager) at Aqua Gunite. She really knew the industry, her products and competition very well. She also suggested I contact the regional sales representative for Pebbletec. I did and he said they had actually sought out Aqua Gunite to become a reseller/ installer for Pebbletec because of their reputation. The Rep also told me that the generic Pebble brands were not near the quality and durability of Pebbletec and Pebblesheen. Many of the pool companies push the generic version because they don't have the license to sell Pebletec (except for Adams). The downside is that it leaves you with limited negotiating power because only Adams and Aqua Gunite can sell and apply Pebbletec in the Bay area. As for the work process: My pool remodel involves 4 different phases: stripping the plaster and tile, installing new tile, applying the Pebblesheen and finally acid washing and brushing the Pebbllesheen The strip portion of the remodel was done in 2 days, the tile took one and the Pebblesheen application took another day. The last day they did the acid wash. The work was done so quick that I could hardly believe it. The workers all showed up on time everyday and worked really hard ,non stop. A really important point is that Aqua Gunite (unlike Corby Gould and many others) doesn't sub contract it's work. That gives you the peace of mind knowing who is doing the job..and backing the work! The price of the job for genuine Pebblesheen was competitive, (and $2500 cheaper than Adams) and the result is a BEAUTIFUL " Black Onyx" Pebblesheen pool! Sharon even suggested (and threw in) crushed Abalone Shells for highlights! Sweet! As you probably can tell, I kind of recommend Aqua Gunite. We decided to replaster our pool and in ground spa. We did some research on our own then began calling pool construction companies and contractors. We called about a dozen companies. About 6 of them never even returned our call and only 4 of them ever provided a bid. The very first company to respond was aqua Gunite Michael Keller the salesman called us back and we talked briefly about our ideas and then scheduled a site meeting so he could better help us. Michael came out and spent a couple of hours with us to determine the best approach to accomplish all of our goals. Since my vision wasn't the same as my husbands this wasn't an easy task Michael took pictures, measurements and made several drawings in order to provide us a bid. He told us exactly when he would get back to us In the meantime we talked to three other reputable companies. All three came out. Of the three, only two even bothered to give us a bid. Although the 3 bids that we received were fairly comparable we chose Aqua Gunite solely because of Michael. Michael seemed knowledgeable and very honest. He put us in touch with Pebbeltec to answer some concerns we had about the product and offered numerous suggestions before the bid was signed to get the exact outcome that we wanted Michael told us exactly how long it would take to complete the job but we didn't really believe him. We also expected that throughout the project they would come back and suggest more work which would mean more money. None of that happened. They finished exactly when they said they would and they never asked for additional money. The crew that did the work was very professional. We knew exactly when they were coming and what was next Sharon in the office helped us with our questions throughout the process. I have done several construction projects and remodels. This was the best experience I can remember. The work came out great. I would recommend this company to any one that is looking for a pool remodel. They not only resurfaced our pool with Pebbel tec they also re did the tile around the inside of the pool and resurfaced the spa and waterfall with flagstaff stone. We have a 30 year old 24500 gallon pool that needed a complete remodel. Searching reviews of pool companies yielded some consistent similarities; once they are paid they do not respond to phone calls, change orders become outrageous and the estimated time of completion can be delayed by months. Aqua Gunite was the only company that had really great reviews. We had three companies bid on our pool remodel. One company came out and emailed a bid to us and we never heard from them again. Another company provided us with a bid but consistently took a week or so to return phone calls when we had questions. Another company told us that they would do the demo of the plaster and they would sub the Pebbltec installation to Aqua Gunite. Of the three companies, Aqua Gunite was the low bidder. We decided to go with Aqua Gunite because of their positive reviews. Aqua Gunite Drained the pool on 8/21/13 and started work the next day. Aqua Gunite finished the project on 8/31/13, as promised. Completed in 10 days - WOW. The work performed in this 10 day project was: Completely stripped all plaster from the pool. Note that a complete strip of the pool vs sand blasting the plaster will insure that the new Pebbletec finish will adhere to the existing surface for many years - it also extends Pebbletec's warranty from 5 years to 7 years. Epoxy injected three cracks in the pool. Made the pool steps larger. Repaired four rebar rust spots in the pool floor at no charge. Two of the rusty areas were not apparent until the pool plaster was stripped off - they would not have shown if the pool was simply sand blasted. Built a Caribbean (Baja) pool shelf in the pool - highly recommended !! Installed LightStream 1" square glass tiles to mark the step boundaries - This is one of the first things friends comment on when the see the pool - highly recommended !! Installed new water line tile. Replaced all of the water and volley ball net fittings. Installed a new suction hazard compliant drain fitting - highly recommended for safety !! Installed Pebbletec Midnight Blue finish which is absolutely gorgeous - again highly recommended !! Installed Deck-O-Seal mastic on the deck surface. The people who performed the work were experienced craftsman. I am self employed and was here every day to watch the work they performed. The detail work was impressive. One fellow really took his time forming the surface and curves of the steps and Caribbean shelf with new gunite. This was days before another craftsman would spend an extended period of time shaping the Pebbletec surface over the same areas. The craftsmen who installed the tile did a wonderful job including installing and smoothing the mortar all the way up to the bottom of the coping bricks for a completely new look. The company culture at Aqua Gunite was very surprising for a contractor. From the owners of the company all the way down to the workers who cleaned up after each day's work everyone we met was very friendly and had a can do attitude. As mentioned by another yelp reviewer, we were not impressed with the salesman. He was a very nice fellow but the follow up was lacking. The bottom line is to talk to Sharon in the office. She is the project manager and responds promptly. We also met one of the two owners, Jose, who visited and inspected the pool prior to the work being started. Jose very knowledgeable and suggested the Caribbean shelf addition to the pool. Thank goodness for that recommendation. The Caribbean shelf makes the pool more functional and as a result we will be using the pool more often that we did in the past. Jose's personality exemplifies the company's can do attitude. We had our pool re- plastered last summer by aqua Gunite so this review is a little old but they did a bang up job and got us done quickly in time for a 4th of July party ! They had competitive rates and the salesman michael Keller was very helpful and available to answer the many questions we had and get the answers we needed and got us scheduled quickly. The owner even came on a weekend to check out an issue and make sure that the process was able to continue. Very impressed by their service would use them again! Michael Kellar was the sales person who helped us and he was always available -went above and beyond to make sure that are pool was ready for the 4th of July. The office was very friendly Sharon helped us pick our tile and coping selections and really knew what she was doing. I recently hired aqua gunite to remodel an old pool and spa in Danville. It was a full remodel chipping out the old plaster, tile, and even replacing all of the plumbing. Everything went very well until the project was finished and the pool was filled with water. The next day, while brushing the pool, I noticed that the deep end had a large blotchy area that looked significantly darker than the rest of the pool. I called them up and they said to keep brushing and that the final appearance takes about a month to look right. After a few more days of brushing, I still didn't feel good about it and called them up and the owner (Jose) came out to meet me and take a look. He agreed it didn't look right and after some research with his team he came to the conclusion that they made a mistake on the job. Unknown to me at the time, they needed to make/mix an extra batch of Pebbletec to finish the bottom of the pool since they were running out of material towards the end of the application. Their guess is that this extra batch was incorrectly mixed and that the color difference was caused by the batch not having the correct mixture of colored pebbles. I had already paid them in full and was extremely worried that they'd stick me with the problem and try to brush it off. To my surprise Jose didn't flinch and said he'd have to drain the pool and tear out the new Pebble and redo it. Despite it being their busy season, they were back in a couple of days and had it chipped out and reapplied in just over a week. Everything came out great and I'm extremely happy with the final product. Most of all I am happy that Jose took a situation that was not ideal and handled it with class and integrity. I didn't have to argue or even ask, he immediately took responsibility for the mistake and fixed it. Mistakes happen and all you can ask for is a contractor to take ownership of it, which he did. I really if ever write reviews but felt his handling of our project justified writing about. The crews were always hard working and a lot of effort went towards the project.
