I've been meaning to post this for awhile now. About six years ago, Adams Pool completely remodeled our oversized pool into a smaller, more functional space that fits our backyard so much better. The entire process was a big undertaking and definitely an investment, but it was absolutely worth it. The pool has held up beautifully. They recently came out to replace some coping that had minor hairline cracks, despite it being outside of the warranty period. Most importantly, our kids and their friends absolutely love the pool, and it's become a central part of our home. Our pool needed to be resurfaced and the guy who services the pool highly recommended Adams. We have been very happy with their work and the result. They ordered a porta potty to be onsite while they were working and they kept us informed about each step they took. I originally called them over a month ago to schedule a repair. it took 4 calls and 4 emails to get that scheduled. responsiveness is lacking. I've actually yet to receive a call back. everything has been via email. after waiting 3 weeks for a tech to visit. at site visit tech told me we were two months out of the two year warranty and so the 20+ tiles that were broken and fallen off weren't covered. annoying but fine- I was willing to pay. two weeks have gone by with zero follow up from them. I've called and emailed and nothing. I'm not sure who is running this business, but they need some training on how to treat people. this has been a waste of my time. wouldn't use, wouldn't recommend. read more

Adams has completed a pool and spa renovation for our townhouse HOA. The entire project was done on time with excellent craftsmanship. There some change orders as discoveries were made during the demolition phase but Adams had options and solutions that were easily approved. You should see this pool !!! Adams was recommended to us by my friend at Diablo Pool Pros (the best in the East Bay in my book). We were looking at several options and had at least 4 companies come to the house. Adams was the best pick hands-down - an easy choice once you talk with them - you'll see :) It started as a phone call and a couple texts, then an (on-time) appointment at our house, then we took a trip out to their facility in Pleasanton (definitely worth the drive over - so cool!). They even gave us samples and some fun "treats" for the kids, after laying out options and a few recommendations in simple terms to help us make smart decisions. Even when there were small snags and unforeseen challenges, as invariably any large project has, Greg Adams (the person we worked with to build out the project scope, and have come to trust quite a bit) sorted things out professionally, quickly and cost effectively. He also recommended a concrete company (Salinas Concrete Co) as our pool decking needed replacing (full demo and compete new-larger deck). These guys were also very professional, did Grade-A work, and kept us super informed (which keeps us from stressing) throughout their parts of project. Corby was on time for the estimate and once we were under contract Jessica and Robert provided regular updates on where we were in the process. We had more degrading in the shell due to the rebar breakthrough so we did have to do a couple of change orders but overall the cost was less than we had expected. Adam pools is a great company that was recommended by my former contractor who did a major remodel on our second home. Jose who was my POC was extremely professional and was knowledgeable on the type of service that I needed to repair a crack on our existing 25 year old beach entry pool. Jose was responsive in helping me get my pool prepped and ready by coming over twice during our big storms to drain the pool so the water line doesn't overflow into the crack. The Job took one week, and all mason workers were professional, clean and had great insight on how to address the crack and make the pool enjoyable for the next 25 years. Wow! What a transformation! Check out the pictures...worth more than a thousand of my words, for sure. Our existing early '90s construction pool was looking pretty haggard. Tiles were falling off and there was a ton of discoloration and cracking in the light blue finish. It got to a point where we just couldn't put it off anymore, not to mention, the annual quotes just kept getting higher and higher, so we finally decided to move forward with Adams, who gave the most comprehensive and competitive quote. Overall, our project team was great. I pretty much had 3 primary points of contact for most of the project, Craig Angrove from Sales, Nithzia Flores at their office, expertly coordinating and communicating contracting teams and keeping things on schedule, and Orlando Azevedo as the Project Manager. Kim Rafalski also was really patient and insightful in helping us pick materials. Collectively, they made sure things ran as smoothly as possible. Craig was pretty incredible. His involvement was really supposed to be just at the onset of the project and securing the business, as is typical with Sales, but from my experience, he really cares about his clients and took the extra time to be present and helpful all the way through to project completion. Anything that went off schedule, he was my go-to call and always made himself available to help work through and solve whatever hurdle presented itself. I honestly am so appreciative for that extra time and dedication to our project. The pool looks absolutely incredible. We went with Adam's Pebble Plus Lapis finish and it looks better than I could have hoped. The project was not without its hiccups, but I can say that when things went off script, as they inevitably will with a complicated project like this, the team was always there to make sure everything got back on track. Check this out. I had an issue with our in-floor cleaner assembly leaking horribly 2 months after they completed the project and final payment had been made. After a brief back and forth about how and why it happened, they agreed to come out and remedy the issue for me. While we were discussing, I got antsy and ordered all of the parts needed with the intention of just repairing myself. When I informed Nithzia of this, I asked if they would perhaps reimburse me for the expenses. I honestly did not think she would be able to, but she requested that I send her the receipts and she'd see what she could do. I really wasn't holding my breath, but she went to bat for me internally and was able to get approval and got Adams to send a reimbursement check! Again, this was a full 2 months after they had set the final stone! They could have easily dismissed me, but they didn't. That level of service and care after project completion really floored me. In this day and age, there aren't many businesses/contractors out there that would do that. The pool looks SO much more inviting now and the fam has been using it exponentially more since the remodel. Adam's team was tremendous all the way through, and I highly recommend to anyone looking to give their pool a fresh look or, of course, new construction. They totally crushed it with ours. We hired Adams Pools Solutions (APS) to rebuild and remodel our 50+ severely degrading and leaking pool. They truly did an outstanding job in transforming it into a breathtakingly beautiful new pool during the June-October timeframe. Craig Angove was our salesperson and helped us redesign our old pool so that it would meet our future safety needs as we grow older. Craig was outstanding technically and customer focused. In addition, Craig recommended Kiwi Pavers of Concord to rebuild our old patio to complement our new pool, who installed and delivered a beautiful new patio that truly compliments our new pool. Both Adams and Kiwi worked very well and seamlessly together. We also highly recommend Kiwi. Our project management team, expertly led by Arsenio Avila and Noreen Sumpter, provided us with top notch, outstanding technical support and customer service throughout the whole pool remodel process. They were always timely, responsive and met all of our customer needs! In addition, all of the Adams specialized functional work teams that were used to rebuild and remodel our pool performed their work in an excellent manner. They are the best!!! We used Adams pools last year to upgrade our equipment and install a gas line. We had some communication challenges but we appreciated overall customer service. We communicated our concerns at the end of the project to which, they were very responsive. Therefore, we decided to hire them again to install brand new piping, new surface and tiles and add a spa inside the pool. Their selection in the showroom is pretty large for the coping, tiles and surface. If you are remodeling, we do recommend getting samples and placing them at various depths in your pool to get an idea what it may look like. The communication with Lauren and Santiago and the project went really well until the end. When we filled the pool to do the startup, we noticed we were losing water. They assessed, thought it was the light seal but the problem persisted. We did have challenges getting a leak team out while we were losing about 6inches a day of water and holding up on proper startup. Santiago reassured us but at the same time reviewed his photos/documents and realized they did not close couple of the old pipes. He and the team admitted to the error and promptly took care of it. Our pool now is working well, looking forward to using it. One may want to ask why 5 stars despite the error. No one is 100% perfect, and unfortunately errors happen. The important part for us was how they are handled by a business. Santiago maintained contact, reassured us and put us at ease about fixing the problem and making it right. Often, businesses take the money and once the work is done, any issues that come up are handled poorly. The response we received from Adams Pools was the exact opposite and would recommend them and use them again if the need arises. read more

We signed a contract with Adams Pool Service to resurface our pool because they appeared to meet our key requirements, fair price, 2 fiberglass coats, no subcontractors would be used and there would be a Project Manager overseeing the work. Although the work was delayed at the last minute by 2 weeks, things started OK. The project manager, Miguel, came by and we discussed things like the location of the nearest clean out to use to drain our pool and where workers should park. After that, things went downhill. The person who showed up to drain our pool, had no clue about the location of the cleanout and spoke no English. Fortunately, we were around to show him the location of the cleanout. When the work crew showed up, they did not park in the agreed location. But these were minor issues compared to what followed. It was immediately apparent that the crew working on our pool were subcontractors. We had asked the Sales Manager to assure us that they did not use subcontractors, and he said they did not. The subcontractor crew did not have good command of the English language. After 2 days of work, the crew told us that they would be back the next day to do the final painting. At this point, the fiberglass looked very patchy, and it was clear they had applied only one fiberglass coat. The subcontractors, and Miguel, insisted that this was what they always did and that it would be fine. We told the subcontractors to stop working and reached out to the Sales Manager, who signed the contract which specified 2 fiberglass coats, but he did not return our calls. We told Miguel that the work could not proceed until we were assured that 2 fiberglass coats would be installed. Eventually, Miguel reached the Sales Manager, and it was agreed that the subcontractors would install two coats of fiberglass The resulting finish on the pool looks great, but only because we took over project management. There was no coordination between Adams and its subcontractor, even though we were told that there is a woman tasked with that role. Miguel, the Project Manager, shared our requests but the subcontractors refused to take instructions from him. The bottom line? Adams Pool Service lied about using subcontractors, then failed to coordinate with them. How could the subcontractors show up not knowing that 2 fiberglass coats were contracted? The answer - no coordination! The Project Manager did his best but was not respected by the subcontractors. We only got a good result by supervising the project ourselves, which was disconcerting, stressful and time-consuming. read more

We had our 45+ year-old pool repaired and resurfaced by Adams Pool Solutions at the end of this summer. (It had been resurfaced once 15 years ago.) The pool looks amazing--no more outdated black plaster, replaced with new tile and a sparkling Pebble Plus Maui Blue finish. **What Worked Well . . . Salesman/Estimator: Greg Adams provided helpful suggestions for updating our pool. We highly recommend visiting the Pleasanton showroom to see the whole array of finishes available. Project Manager/Field Supervisor: We were fortunate to work with Orlando Azevedo. He explained each step that would get us to our finished pool and answered all our questions. When we had a couple of issues that needed immediate attention, Orlando met us on site to evaluate the problems and see that they were resolved. He kept everything running smoothly. He was supportive from start to finish. The crews: They were very professional and always respectful of our property. Project/Construction Coordinator: Nithzia Flores kept us informed regarding the scheduling of the different phases of our project. We preferred to be onsite during all phases of the process, so relying on a set schedule was very important to us. **Issues . . . Permitting: Take into account the extra time permitting will take. Our permit held up the project for almost three weeks (no fault of Adams). Schedule Changes: Hearing a message late on a Friday that a previously scheduled appointment for Tuesday was being moved up to Monday morning did not sit well with us. It was too late to return the call on Friday, and when we reached the office on Monday, we were told that the crew was already on their way. So we had to scramble to reschedule our appointments and plans for our day. We understand that making sure the crews have no idle days is important to the company, but a last-minute change without much notice may not be convenient for the customer. So would we hire Adams Pool Solutions again...definitely yes! This was a big project and we figured there could be some small issues along the way; but overall, we are very satisfied with the experience and the result. read more

Adam's performed a complete renovation of our pool. The old plaster (2 layers) were stripped down to the gunite. Coping & waterline tile were replaced and new Pebble Plus finish, Laguna, was applied. Everyone one we worked with from the sales, Robert, management, Lauren, supervisor, Manny, and design support, Denise, were professional, easy to communicate with and very supportive. The work crews did a great job. It's a messy job, but they did their best to clean up after themselves. There were a few hick-ups along the way (tile delayed, stairs had to be reconstructed), but all was handled well and we were able to pretty-much stay on budget. My only one complaint is there were a few times when we were informed the crew would be arriving (unexpectedly) with very short notice. All turned out ok, but made for some anxious moments as we were babysitting dogs at the time. The pool is absolutely beautiful! I am not posting pictures at this time because the decking surface needs to be cleaned up. The pool will shine even more once that is done. read more
