The two people that help me rent the unit were very friendly and helpful. I showed them what I needed to store and they help me pick the best unit. All my furniture fitted perfectly, so thank you for that. I also think the price is very competitive. The best rate I found in central Seattle. The location is good. Feels like it is secured. My only complaint is that the unit was very dusty, so I had to put down plastic bags so my couch and mattress don't get completely dirty. So far I am very pleased with them. read more

They had the best deals and didn't have any gimmicks which was amazing to find since so many other storage facilities would try to hustle me into purchasing different packages and what not. The location is very convenient, right in downtown but easy to drive in/out. Available Uhaul trucks when you move in is very helpful. The building is safe & secure with lots of cameras all over the property. Employees were helpful in showing different sized units and helping to select the best unit for my requirements. The loading dock is easy to access (even if you have trouble driving a Uhaul truck and the large freight elevator makes moving large items a breeze and cuts down on the number of trips up & down. SVSS, has been a 5 years' experience. Their customers services has meet my expectations and beyond. Each interaction I had the staff, not only I get their sole attention, they also make me feel as a valuable customer. They keep a clean and organize facility. Their rental fleet of U-Haul trucks are in good condition. If you go and is not a truck or van available, they will search and find you one for your needs ASAP. We used a Groupon to get set up. The staff was very helpful in making arrangements for us to get the best deal for over the summer renting. They gave a discount for using a storage space that had a building support beam in it that took up part of the storage space. We didn't need the entire space, so it worked out great! I rented a truck this past Saturday. I was moving to the other side of my block but also wanted to pick up some furniture at a thrift store. When leaving the storage facility, I reset the trip reminder so I could know exactly how many miles I racked up. After the initial move it was at 2.5 miles. I then drove to Bellevue an back to Capitol Hill. When I dropped off the truck, it was just under 30 miles which have me secret satisfaction since that was the estimate I have the cashier. I handed the keys over an the employee said I was all set. Being a trusting person, I did not check everything with him. BIG MISTAKE. I got my receipt and it said I went 41 miles. I called the store and the manager told me that after looking at the contract, I drove 41 miles. Yes sir, that's the problem! I explained that there must have been a typo or error somewhere but he insisted that was not the case. I then asked if there was someone else I could speak to and he told me that he was the manager and he was "looking at the facts". Well Seattle Vault, the fact is you've lost a customer and every potential customer she knows! read more

To clarify Seattle Vault Storage is not the Uhaul company and Ken made sure to have his regional managers get in contact with the Uhaul company to get the charges reimbursed. I was explained all the details of the storage unit, and then taken upstairs to choose a unit. They were quick with the paperwork, as I was in a hurry. All was ok until just recently. The building is slated to be torn down, although a definite date has not been given yet. Ever since this has been known though, it appears they've stopped paying the heating bill. So, although their website says "Heated Units", the indoor storage areas are very cold. Also, use of the freight elevator has been restricted to staff only now, so be prepared to go to the office to get somebody to operate the elevator for you. Two stars, because it used to be just fine, but lately, it has been very inconvenient, and I had to remove some musical instruments that just cannot be in temperatures that low. read more

The location of this new facility is very convenient to the heart of downtown. The employees are personable and very helpful. I moved a number of boxes today. When I arrived at the facility, I mentionned I had tweaked my back. The Vault employee unloaded my van and placed all the boxes in the unit. For us the location was very convenient and easy to get to and the hours are good. Leo who helped us open the account was helpful and friendly, Each time we have been there, there are always hand trucks available. Yes, the door of the freight elevator was quite difficult to open and shut initially but I think it has been fixed - seems easier now to open and close. The place is clean and well lit. read more

I've had to unexpectedly move twice in the last 6 months and the great people at Seattle Vault have went out of their way to accomodate my various unit size and materials needs, as I made my transitions. For all of that, I am very grateful, in addition to their patience and expertise. I just got a unit here a few weeks ago to keep my stuff while I'm between places. So far my experience has been good. The place is clean and seems pretty secure. The location is very convenient for anyone living in Denny Triangle, SLU, western Capitol Hill. I also hit them up on one of the specials and it a save a little money. One thing to know is that you have to buy one of their locks. It's only $10 but I don't think it says it on their website. read more

The storage units are all very clean, well maintained and there is a lot of easy access off the street to park your car and unload. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. The units are heated, so its always comfortable in there. They also have hand trucks and such to help you move your stuff. Prices are great--Student discounts are always a plus. read more
