Terrible customer service. They close the facility quite frequently with no word or communication to the customers who had plans to access either storage units or mail boxes. This happens almost every time I go. The sign should read "call for appointment". Avoid at all costs. read more

this place is horrible. once again they changed how you pay. they changed your username and password. Do they tell you they are going to do this. of course not. It says username is your email and for your password it is your access code. Guess what does does not work. I tried forgot my password and they want me to answer a question. that does not work. I called and the lady was like well this is your username and password and I told her it does not work. all she could do for me is put in a work order. super helpful when trying to pay your bill. I am looking for a new unit because this place sucks, they do "remodels" and do not tell you, they work on the gates to enter and do they tell you no. you just show up and it is a surprise. read more

Great storage for UW family! We live out of state and our son attends UW. We were looking for a way to store the things he had accumulated that we didn't want to ship back for the summer. I had a lot of concerns with the company recommended by the university after reading reviews and really wanted something local. I called and spoke with Rachelle several times ( I had a LOT of questions, being this was our first time renting space). Each time she was extremely helpful, professional and patient. We ended up reserving a small unit and when we flew down to store things and move him back, it went great. Facility was extremely clean, easy to find, easy to move stuff in, and lots of different sizes to choose from. We rented a 4x4 and had room to spare. We appreciate that its close to the university and we can access it when we need to. Signed up for autopay and I've had no issues so far. Will be picking up items soon and plan on using Roosevelt again next summer! read more

Roosevelt Self Storage is a nice, clean, trustworthy place to keep your belongings. The staff are friendly and very understanding. It is a heated building so as a mobile DJ it was beneficial and convenient for us, especially since we came by multiple times a week. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a bit more expensive than I would normally want to spend, yet worth the cost! Alsoit would be very busy certain days of the week/month making it difficult to maneuver our truck in and out of the garage, yet this was understandable since it was normally around the 1st-5th of the month. I definitely recommend Roosevelt Storage, and we even know others who are now satisfied customers based off of our referral. read more

I used this storage facility after I moved up north and I had my unit for 2 months. In the time I was there, I had nothing but positive experiences and interactions. The manager gave us a good deal and included renter's insurance and a lock in the price. The unit was clean and served my purposes just fine. I think all the negative reviews are from the previous management. If you are looking for a reasonably priced storage unit in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to use this business. When I cancelled my unit, I promptly received a prorated refund check. *This is not a 24 hour facility, but the hours worked well for me. read more

We could not be happier with the service at Roosevelt Public Storage. My daughter is a student at UW, coming home to CA for the summer, and needed a small storage space to store boxes before she returns in the Fall. We looked at another storage place (bad move), which sounded neat until they wanted to lock us in for a lease and charged for everything under the sun including a lock and breathing their air. Plus I was also going to have to fly to Seattle to pay for the unit. Not working. I found Roosevelt Self Storage online and gave them a call. Peter was awesome! I was able to rent a unit and pay the initial charges over the phone. They threw in a free lock and some boxes when my daughter arrived and it's a month to month lease at a very reasonable rate. I came back to today and was helped by Peter who was as equally fantastic. I've had a unit here for about two years, now. Granted, I have no other storage experience to compare to, but the price has always been fair, even when it went up a bit (for which I was given plenty of warning and the opportunity to cancel my rental agreement). It can be frustrating that it's not open very late, particularly if you have a last-minute need for something, but that's easy enough to plan around for the most part, just do hear it in mind. The two staff people I've dealt with have always been friendly and helpful. Overall a solidly positive experience! read more

Agreed with Megan T. I had a mailbox here for many years and there was often no one there when I came to get my mail. I got the box so I could receive packages from UPS and Fedex and sometimes missed a delivery because no one was there when the package arrived. What's the point? read more

Don't rent here. Of course unless you like overpriced units and limited access hours that are actually more generous than they actually are since nobody shows up at the posted open hours. It's 8:30am right now and me plus 3 other storage renters are standing outside waiting, waiting, waiting....wonder why they think it's okay to run a business or just interact with other humans this way. read more

The people who work here are fantastic! They're uniformly friendly, engaged, helpful, and fair. We rented a storage unit for extra supplies for my work, and every single time we showed up, they greeted us with smiles. Everyone at Roosevelt Self Storage was so nice and helpful! I am so glad I chose to store my items in this facility. They gave me a good deal, and the place was clean and seemed quite safe during the month I was there. I did not have any of the bad experiences that some of the other reviewers are writing. I had one worker kindly ask me to call her before I was going to come to get the keys for the unit, and every other time I was at the unit a worker was there to help out if needed. Peter and Carlos are absolute gems! From getting my unit set up to close out, they made the process of getting a storage unit incredibly painless. The facilities itself are also nice. The storage unit itself comes with no frills, as to be expected, but having access through a garage that you can drive into and carts to load everything onto made the moving process much easier. read more

I have had great service for mailboxes. Things have changed. The people that work there are really friendly and are almost never gone outside of the occasional lunch time. They also told me I could call before I head by just to make sure if I want. I have never had anything but great service, and have had plenty of friendly conversations with staff. The price is right for a mailbox, and the hours are great. Good luck finding a Sunday mailbox pickup place anywhere else. They are VERY rare. When I get packages they email me, and hold them without complaint. The previous UPS store I was at would charge me $10 per day for each package they held past 3 days. So ridiculous! I will stay here forever. read more

If you had to pick one thing--just one thing--you'd need from a place that was hosting your business mail box, what would it be? I'd pick ACTUALLY BE OPEN DURING THE "OPEN HOURS." If you'd pick this first, or even put it on your list of "must-have's," then whatever you do, don't rent a mailbox at this place. I lost track of all the times I showed up and the person at the front desk had put a sign on the door that said they'd be back in half an hour. Now I don't begrudge anyone taking lunch or having to go out--but this was constant. And the woman at the front desk plain out told me that she didn't like sitting at the desk and went out when she could. OK. Your choice. But don't expect me to remain a client! I only wish I could give fewer than one star. read more

Customer beware! This is a bait and switch operation. I called on July 2 to rent a space for my car. I was quoted a price and told the special advertised online would be valid. I went in today to do the paperwork and guess what? The cost was 3x what was originally quoted and they would not honor the coupon. What was really interesting was the manager took off when she recognized that the was going to be a problem. A few minutes later she called the sales person to see what was going on with me. He told her that he had agreed to rent the space for 50% off the first month. After I filled out all of the paperwork he tripled the price again. I walked out. Beware! When I called to check on pricing the woman working was not actually there. Although she said she was out running errands for the facility, absent personnel is in line with what other reviews said. And after reserving a unit on line, I found it was misrepresented and had a large obstruction. The woman said she emailed me about it but I didn't get an email. While I was there she was running around, trying to balance too many things. While she was nice enough, it just seemed like she (and the facility in general) couldn't get her stuff together. Always a supportive staff. Clean. Very convenient with parkng and good sturdy large hand carts to use. The building is in good shape and every unit has a good door with a good latch. I ued 4 different units, from a double wide to the smallest they have, over the course of several years. I was able to go through my things in the process of downsizing. There was always room to move the boxes and even sort through. The bulding is comfortably heated. read more
