My wife was 8 months pregnant and I hired movers specifically so she wouldn't have to deal with the stress of moving. Instead, the crew showed up nearly 4 hours late and was clearly underprepared. We had been up early, packed and ready by 9am, as the crew was supposed to arrive 9:30-10am. They arrived at 1pm. I had to reschedule elevator bookings at both buildings four times, and my wife missed her window to rest and eat. Not exactly the "easy move" I paid for. The quoted job time was 3-4 hours total. Loading a small one-bedroom alone took 4 hours, largely because one of the two movers was clearly inexperienced and required significant rework throughout. I understand people have learning curves -- I just don't think customers should absorb the cost of on-the-job training. I watched him smack my expensive things on walls and the floor with little care. At the end of loading, the crew asked to stop at a fast food restaurant. I had already flagged the time crunch multiple times. We ended up skipping the meal but it came across as tone-deaf. Unloading took over 2 hours despite a verbal promise of 1 hour -- and that's with me actively helping. Total time: over 6 hours to move 15 minutes away. The last time I moved with the same belongings (Seattle to Kirkland), a different crew finished in under 4 hours, including the time to transport, and with zero damage. Several irreplaceable items were chipped or otherwise damaged during the move. When I raised it with the company, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do, but they offered to mail a $25 check. That was nearly a month ago. No check has arrived, despite multiple follow ups. The company did offer a partial discount on the move after I followed up, though it took several weeks to receive it. I appreciate the gesture, but it doesn't come close to addressing the full picture -- the delay, the damaged items, the time lost, or the stress added to a situation that was already sensitive. All of that could have been solved with proper planning and training. This was just not a good experience from top to bottom.

If this company doesn't want to go to court they will be refunding several thousand dollars and getting someone over to assemble the furniture immediately. We Move was one of the first to reach out to me with estimates and with the most reasonable rates for my local move. (Details: 450 sq. ft. one-bedroom condo; couch; three bookshelves; and other miscellany items: 2 movers; 1 truck; 3-hr min. $100/hr if in cash; $115/hr if by card). Throughout the process, their customer service was professional and impeccable. Roman contacted me regularly to confirm my location and move date. Another representative (unfortunately, I did not catch her name), contacted me by telephone to schedule the move. On the day of my move, We Move contacted me early in the day through one of the movers, Aivar, who informed me that they would be able to arrive early if I was available. I was, and they arrived within 20 minutes. Aivar and Victor, two movers with We Move, arrived with the truck. They were extremely courteous and professional. Moreover, they were unbelievably efficient! I even asked if they would be willing to make a stop at the Goodwill to make a donation, and they agreed without hesitation. In summary: We Move provides excellent customer service and performs excellent work. Not only would I highly recommend We Move to others I know that are moving--if I ever move again, I will call We Move first, and I will specifically ask for Aivar and Victor above anyone else!
