I hired On the Go to load a trailer in preparation for an out-of-state move. The moving team overcharged me (I had to get home office to do a correction), but that was only the surface. When I arrived in my new location, I had a different mover ready to unload the truck. What they found was astounding: The movers had paid no mind to how they stacked our boxes, crushing multiple bins and seeing boxes cave-in on themselves. These photos came from the other movers as they thought their counterparts did it, and were (in their words) "embarrassed." On top of this absolute disregard for boxes, 11 pieces of furniture suffered damage. Their label was "cosmetic damage," because nothing broke ... it's just visually damaged (deep gashes in wood, leather scraped off real-leather chairs). The care extended to a couch where they removed the peg legs and through them loose into the trailer (we had to find them over the course of the move). I documented everything, shared photos, etc. Their offer: $100 check due to cosmetic damage. And after a fairly pointed email about the negligence of how they packed the trailer, they just stopped responding. Now, here's the onus on me: I only did base protection. I trusted their reputation and after seven cross-country moves, felt confident we'd be okay. Shame on me, and that'll never be a mistake I make again. I don't expect anything to come of this for me. And that's fine. But hopefully at least one other person will be saved the frustration and expense. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that others deserve a heads up before booking. On The Go came recommended by a friend but ended up being by far the worst moving experience I've had. My wife was 8 months pregnant and I hired movers specifically so she wouldn't have to deal with the stress of moving. Instead, the crew showed up nearly 4 hours late and was clearly underprepared. We had been up early, packed and ready by 9am, as the crew was supposed to arrive 9:30-10am. They arrived at 1pm. I had to reschedule elevator bookings at both buildings four times, and my wife missed her window to rest and eat. Not exactly the "easy move" I paid for. The quoted job time was 3-4 hours total. Loading a small one-bedroom alone took 4 hours, largely because one of the two movers was clearly inexperienced and required significant rework throughout. I understand people have learning curves -- I just don't think customers should absorb the cost of on-the-job training. I watched him smack my expensive things on walls and the floor with little care. At the end of loading, the crew asked to stop at a fast food restaurant. I had already flagged the time crunch multiple times. We ended up skipping the meal but it came across as tone-deaf. Unloading took over 2 hours despite a verbal promise of 1 hour -- and that's with me actively helping. Total time: over 6 hours to move 15 minutes away. The last time I moved with the same belongings (Seattle to Kirkland), a different crew finished in under 4 hours, including the time to transport, and with zero damage. Several irreplaceable items were chipped or otherwise damaged during the move. When I raised it with the company, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do, but they offered to mail a $25 check. That was nearly a month ago. No check has arrived, despite multiple follow ups. The company did offer a partial discount on the move after I followed up, though it took several weeks to receive it. I appreciate the gesture, but it doesn't come close to addressing the full picture -- the delay, the damaged items, the time lost, or the stress added to a situation that was already sensitive. All of that could have been solved with proper planning and training. This was just not a good experience from top to bottom. read more

We hired them for a two bedroom and the receptionist who is a failure, suggested three movers with a large truck and we purchased extra insurance for our valuable furniture and paid extra for heavy items that I ended up personally helping with moving. They destroyed my pizza oven and my grill. The best part is, they classify the reviews. Be careful of those people we will be suing them soon. read more

The move was difficult due to removal of furnitue from upstairs in the 107 year old house, resulting in the move over budget. We accepted this as the four employees worked hard. Unfortunately, the truck was not quite large enough for everything, requiring a smaller truck to finish the move a few days later. Moving is challenging when you're unfamiliar with local resources, and even more so when you've never used a moving company before. We were trying to donate furniture and household items in Redmond, WA. Habitat for Humanity couldn't accommodate our timing and doesn't enter homes, and ReSupply also didn't align with our schedule, so we contacted On the Go Moving. From the start, Eric and Justice were great to work with. Scheduling was easy, communication was excellent, and they were always kind, respectful, and professional - and responsive even when we called over a holiday weekend. They also took the time to clearly explain donation-related moving charges, which was extremely helpful. They advised us to confirm in advance exactly what donation centers would accept, since movers are charged for any items refused and needing disposal or rerouting. That can increase your moving bill quite a bit. Because of that guidance, we contacted the Goodwill manager ahead of time, shared our full item list, and received approval. Our movers, Biaggio and Ricardo, were fantastic too - polite, efficient, and careful. I followed them to Goodwill just in case, and I'm glad I did, as there was a question about a desk with removed legs. Although that location typically doesn't accept items requiring reassembly, they honored the prior approval. Pricing was very reasonable and invoiced as quoted. I requested a quote on the website and within the hour someone called and got us scheduled. On the day of our move, their truck couldn't make it up our steep driveway due to snow and ice. After a few months of having my belongings stored in their warehouse I relocated and I cannot imagine the transition being faster, smoother and actually super fun if I had done this on my own. Our experience with this moving company was disappointing! - The crew arrived with incorrect pickup and delivery instructions, requiring us to text the driver the correct details. - The initial estimate was for 4 hours, but the move ended up taking 7.5 hours. - While the 3 man crew was friendly and hardworking, they were also booked for another move at 1:00 PM, which led to them rushing through the process. This resulted in damage to furniture, art frames, and a broken lamp. - The lead mover had to call the owner to inform him they couldn't make the 1:00 PM appointment. The owner seemed upset, and the lead repeatedly commented, "I guess I'm going to get fired," which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. - Management underestimated the time needed to transport items from the truck to the elevator, into the apartment, and to unwrap everything properly. It is going to cost as much as the packing/moving services to replace or repair the items destroyed or damaged. I hired On the Go for packing/moving services to help with a move within the same apartment complex. The movers were nice and the booking process was smooth. Given the very short distance of the move, I went with the basic insurance but their coverage is paltry. They damaged a $1400 computer monitor beyond repair and only offered $15 for it. A wooden desk, filing cabinet, and outdoor table all have noticeable scrapes and damage. Other items were broken that were not well-packed and I'm sure there would have been more damage if I hadn't unpacked everything either the same day or the following day given the way that heavy items were packed in with delicate ones. Cables were also packed in different boxes from the items they went with, which has led to a lot of guesswork over which cord goes which what electronics. I moved across the entire country last year and didn't have this much stuff destroyed or damaged. The damage wasn't apparent until after the movers had left. Even though there was decent service, this was overall the most disappointing experience I've ever had with movers and I will not be using On the Go again. read more

My company has been using On The Go Moving & Storage exclusively since the company owner was so impressed with a very complicated personal move they did for her, moving 4 people to multiple locations in a single day that included storage units and a dump run. Our most recent move was a simple one, made more complicated by some last minute rules imposed by the new lessor of an office in Northgate. Once again, however, On The Go was on the ball and made the necessary changes with professionalism and grace. On the day of the move, the guys with the truck were on time, respectful, and friendly. They picked up the contents of our new office quickly and efficiently, then got us all moved in at the new location in just minutes over what it took to load the truck to begin with. Good communication while setting up - very late to show up without any communication (I finally called in and they found the crew). Efficient and friendly, not equipped with tools to take the tv off the wall so we had to deal with it separately. A couple of low key damages, but they also managed to get some large, heavy items into a small space. We really liked the crew, they did have another person show up who smelled highly of pot - could have been from a different day/time, but is probably not a great way to make you feel secure that things will be handled well. I have used these guys a few times in the past, the service was okay, and it didn't come into my mind again until recently. We have recently moved into a new office building, and we started to notice our dumpsters are always full for some reason. I run a software company, so as you can imagine, we have routine trash and that is about it. We were annoyed enough to decide to install a security camera aiming at our dumpsters. And sure enough we caught these guys driving their trucks at the end of their run dumping into our dumpster. Needless to say we called the company and told them to knock it off. They sweared up and down and told us it would never happen again. Then on December 8th, 2019 this happened. These guys not only broke the locks we placed on the dumpster, they proceeded to tear off the fiber glass lid altogether. I have some screen captures loaded here. Working with On the Go was great. Excellent communication. I received an email and phone call before the scheduled arrival time. I then got a call from the driver that he was leaving their office. Moving is stressful enough but I never was concerned that they would not show up. The movers, Rene and Parker were very polite and friendly. They wore their masks the entire time. I thought they were very careful with our boxes and furniture. The amount of time we requested was plenty and I was charged what I was quoted I will use them again. Update: we used On the go again In late August to move back to our house. It was the same excellent service for scheduling, communication, follow up on the day of move. We had an outstanding experience with On The Go. We had a split move with some of the furniture going into a storage container in our driveway and other items being moved to an apartment. The crew took great care to warp the items going to the container as well or better than the ones being moved. I will definitely call On The Go when our remodel is complete and its time to move back home. We recently moved with On the go movers. I would not recommend them because the boxes were dumped randomly. We had labeled 90% of the boxes and directed them where the boxes should go, but please look at how the boxes were stacked right in front of the door. I would think it is common sense to not block a door when you stack boxes. Across all rooms, boxes were just randomly kept right where you enter, we had to move a great deal of boxes just so we could enter / walk around. Clearly we weren't working with professionals. Our walls ( stairway) has bern scratched mostly due to negligence. I would NOT recommend them at all. read more
