    I've had to rent trucks for the past three weekends but this time I needed one closer to downtown…read more I did not even know this location existed until two days ago. It was the quickest and easiest check in that I have had. And the most knowledgeable and pleasant. Our rep was super helpful, kind and even went above and beyond our expectations. I can't say enough because it was such smooth transaction from start to finish. I've already told friends about how great this location is.

They will literally give it away an hour before your arrival. We reserved a van and showed up at 7AM. She told us she gave it away "because she can" even though we had it reserved and drove an hour to get it. She said quote on quote "It's my rules and customers like you guys are HOARDERS thinking you can reserve a truck". (Whatever that means...). We tried to understand what she meant and told her we never were notified this and she said "I don't follow U-Haul I follow my rules". I asked her why and she said "this area is super sketchy so I want to get rid of my vans as fast as possible" (WTF?!). She had no solution and basically told us to F off, we ultimately went to a different rental company. Once again this site is very vocal about not following U-Haul policy and "make their own rules". I don't have her name but terrible person with terrible view on business and hates customers. BEWARE. Hope U-Haul checks it out as this woman / location is destroying the brand.

I wince watching him talk to customers. Anyone treat anyone like that in a work situation like that in Seattle evee. For a while I thought it was funny ish until I finally had it turned on me. Eventually over the course of the summer they lost five packages of mine that were reported as being delivered there, so whatever that means. The final straw was when I had to mail a legal document and unfortunately chose to mail it from there. Even though it went from Seattle to SeaTac it took a month to get there. Every time I would have an issue I just got to shrug and a sort of like apathetic mumbles that it was somebody else's fault. Props to the employees who can actually endure there. One guy has been there the entire time I've been going there and I just feel like holy shit... How can you put up with this environment? Also I hope you like Domino's because this place totally reeks like bad pizza from the Domino's downstairs. Finally found another package sending and receiving spot on the hill that is 25% cheaper and provides all the same services. Never moved on something that fast before! Much happier at the new place and the owner is cheerful and helpful.

It doesn't matter who's working -- Young or old, man or woman, nonbinary... Every time I need to drop a package, they're rude, rolling their eyes, yelling and act as if I'm interrupting them. I had to go in today because the UPS store I now go to which is actually out of my way but they treat customers with a basic hello, was closed. Like I said, ive been avoiding this place for a year and went in today, and nothing changed. There young men were working and the one with the glasses was very rude. I recommend going to the one in Cap Hill or SLU and avoid this one. It'll ruin your day.

The front desk guy (Wyatt, I think) and his manager were the most courteous and kind people I've engaged with in a long time. They helped me save money choosing the right supplies, the right van, the right location drop off and even loved on my dog. All the workers I interacted with from that store were so approachable and genuine. In an age where service is automated and real interaction is unheard of, I am delighted to say that U-Haul of West Seattle off 35th is doing the opposite.     I recently reserved a ubox and pickup truck and it was a very problematic experience. First there's…read moreonly 1 forklift operator at the location who doesn't start work until 12pm. I knew to call in advance because I knew there would be some issue based on the person I spoke with on the phone. I flew in from out of state as I'm transporting my ubox out of state. I had a mover scheduled to help me move things out of Public Storage down the street (5 mins away) at 12:30pm. I asked Uhaul workers if the ubox could be attached to the pickup truck and ready to go by 12:30pm. I was told yes. They didn't know what they were doing so it ended up taking an hour making me lose time with my mover. So when I finally got to my mover, I put him behind schedule and he had to eventually leave , which meant I had to move things by myself. This was a terrible experience because not only did it rain the whole time but I had to move things alone outside of the Public storage and there were men approaching me and saying things making me feel unsafe. At this point I'm trying to move as fast as I can but it's 7:30pm. Uhaul closes at 8pm. I call and tell them I'm trying to return the box same day before they close. The workers erroneously told me I had the box and truck for another day and could return it next day. Had I listened to that wrong info I would've been charged extra! I return the ubox before closing. A worker tells me the forklift worker is gone for the day. So I tell her, I can't drive/park the ubox to where I was staying so what could I do?????? I just wait to think things through for about 30mins. Meanwhile, the forklift worker (who left for the day) is walking out the door. The forklift worker was there the entire time and could've helped with the truck and ubox but just didn't want to help. At this point, the entire experience feels like a joke. The forklift worker tells me to just leave the truck and ubox in the parking lot and hope it doesn't get broken into. SMFH. I fly back home. I pay the $2300 fees associated with the shipping. I pay exactly what I owe. I notice another charge on my card for nearly $100. I call Uhaul once, wait time 30mins. The rep says they didn't get my full payment so they took the rest without authorization but said now I'm paid in full. I had already paid in full! An earlier payment I had made, miraculously was not applied or seen on their end! So I call Uhaul back, wait time 30mins. Horrible customer service agent was so unhelpful and just so incompetent I almost gave up trying to get my refund. I call back a third time, wait time 30mins. Over 1.5hrs of my day gone dealing with this BS. The rep files a dispute. I got an email saying they made a mistake and my refund is being processed. The only thing that makes me feel better about this ridiculous situation is knowing I'll never have to encounter the workers at Uhaul in West Seattle again and the fact I'll never in life do business nor recommend Uhaul to anyone ever. UPDATE: When I went to pickup my Ubox they completely botched the entire reservation. They claimed to have no record of the scheduled date for pickup!!! They made the reservation!!! Then to add insult to injury, they had no vehicles available for me to transport the Ubox, even though the person I spoke to claimed to have updated my account to include a 10 inch van instead of a pickup. The Ubox can't be on a pickup at this location!?!?!?! Now they're saying I have to go to some other random location to get a 10 inch van and come back so they can attach the Ubox. I had movers scheduled and ready for me to meet w/the Ubox and now I had to cancel on them because of the complete failure to deliver service by Uhaul. Just a complete nightmare. I should've went with PODs or any other company. Do not do business with these unprofessionals!!!!

    I had an Amazon return to drop off this morning. I was fully prepared, with a paper print-out of…read morethe drop-off QR code. I waited in line for more than 10 minutes while the UPS clerk tried to print off legal documents for two unrelated groups of people ahead of me. He printed the pages off wrong, then, mixing up the pages, gave the wrong documents to the wrong customer, waited for the customers to figure out the mistakes, reprinted and resorted everything, and finally, after several false starts, succeeded in giving each customer whatever it was they came in for. Next there was a whole rigmarole for a family which needed passport photos. Although they clearly described what they needed, the UPS clerk seemed to refuse to understand that, although there were three people in the family, only two of them needed passport photos. Then the clerk took a break to stock the supply shelves. And then, finally, he came to me. It took literally less than 30 seconds for the clerk to scan my QR code and accept my pre-prepared box for return. WHY, WHY, ten or more minutes earlier, couldn't the clerk have simply asked "Is that just a drop-off? I can handle that for you right now."?? He could have said this to me, for instance, while the first customers were trying to figure out what was wrong with the incorrect, scrambled legal documents he had handed them. I was pretty much stuck with UPS for my Amazon return. From my treatment this morning, it's obvious to me that UPS does not value my time. The UPS customer service I got was disrespectful at best.

I wish we'd taken a picture of the odometer when we left because it was not what they claimed the initial mileage was. The 1 star reviews get it right. The reviews describing incredible rudeness get it right. If you still insist on dealing with these con artists, document EVERYTHING. If you don't, you'll get scammed.

    After 6+ years of paying a fortune for a 5'x10' unit (now $180/month, increasing to $212 as of…read more6/1/2023) it was time to move out. Arrived 4/25 with a rental vehicle to do so but the elevator was out of order and apparently had been for a few days. To avoid paying the next month's rent, we had to vacate the unit by EOD 4/30. When we called to check the status of the elevator that day, we were told it was still out of order. Our unit is located on the 3rd floor of a notably large building...at least 500-600 units. There is ONE elevator for the entire building and TWO stairwells on the far end of each side. Only one stairwell is accessible from the outside. Needless to say, moving the items out of the unit without an elevator would've required assistance of at least two other able-bodied people, which was not possible. Although we contacted management, sure enough, we were charged for the entire amount as of May 2. A classic example of a business causing their customer to suffer from what is their--and only their--mistake.
