Absolutely fraudulent, sketchy and rude. We rented a U-Haul from these jokers. The amount on the contract was not what my wife agreed to on the app. Then, they attempted to overcharge us by 40 miles. I wish we'd taken a picture of the odometer when we left because it was not what they claimed the initial mileage was. The 1 star reviews get it right. The reviews describing incredible rudeness get it right. If you still insist on dealing with these con artists, document EVERYTHING. If you don't, you'll get scammed. read more

After 6+ years of paying a fortune for a 5'x10' unit (now $180/month, increasing to $212 as of 6/1/2023) it was time to move out. Arrived 4/25 with a rental vehicle to do so but the elevator was out of order and apparently had been for a few days. To avoid paying the next month's rent, we had to vacate the unit by EOD 4/30. When we called to check the status of the elevator that day, we were told it was still out of order. Our unit is located on the 3rd floor of a notably large building...at least 500-600 units. There is ONE elevator for the entire building and TWO stairwells on the far end of each side. Only one stairwell is accessible from the outside. Needless to say, moving the items out of the unit without an elevator would've required assistance of at least two other able-bodied people, which was not possible. Although we contacted management, sure enough, we were charged for the entire amount as of May 2. A classic example of a business causing their customer to suffer from what is their--and only their--mistake. read more

I had to call Bel Red Storage after some confusion with a U-Haul reservation. Mick was incredibly rude on the phone when I was being very courteous and trying to figure out my U-Haul reservation. He was condescending and not willing to help me out at all. Not a great impression for people who have never been to this storage facility before. Definitely won't be back anytime soon. read more

Great location and last minute service. We came here after driving up from California with a bunch of wine, unable to take it back into Canada with us. So we looked for a storage locker to store our current and future wines, and Bel-Red was the 3rd place we looked at. We were able to get a locker within minutes and store our wine. We pay monthly for a small locker that we can use and it's a great peace of mind. The locker is safe and secure in a security camera controlled area, so all our expensive bottles are safe. read more

I was just in the store last week and several times over the last few weeks. I was super pleased with Tom and Nick. I went in the first time for a bunch of boxes, tape, plastic wrap, and a mattress bag. Tom was just fantastic. He helped me load the Jeep and was just a great person. He was really nice to chat with. I rented here for about 9 months as I was looking and moving into a bigger place. They were great! I love the facility, big and clean. My sister went with me once expecting it to be creepy...far from it. After I moved procrastinated on moving out. I thought I should make it coincide with the monthly billing. Turns out I not need to wait. They offered a refund for unused days and I promptly received a check about a week later. That was a nice little bonus. Whatever these reviewed from 2010 are referring to, I certainly did not experience it in 2014. I highly recommend Bed Red Storage. read more

We had a storage unit here for a few years. The facility is nice and well maintained. And the staff was always friendly. There were 2 downsides, though: 1) having to go in to change our credit card was a real pain - it would have been much easier to do over the phone or online 2) the constant rent increases are insane. Our unit crept up ~$50/yr and wound up at about $300/mo. A comparable unit (indoor, climate controlled) at another place in Redmond costs about $200. That last review was ridiculous & needs to be removed from YELP. To think someone would trash a business because of a clerical error is completely WRONG. We all know that human beings, computers, and even banks make mistakes. So get over it. The benefits of using Bel-Red Storage far outweigh some small, correctable error. I remember when this storage facility was built & thought what a cool idea! As a former property manager, I have personally used Bel-Red Storage many times. The manager & staff have always been outstanding, courteous, & very helpful. You couldn't ask for a better storage facility. It's extremely clean, well lit, climate controlled, & the building security won't allow people to just wander around. Also, my movers love Bel-Red Storage because of the complimentary cart usage, the huge elevator, the well-maintained doors on the storage units, & the timed lights inside the storage unit. But let me tell you the BEST thing about Bel-Red Storage. I never have to worry that somebody will come up behind me in the dark & bonk me over the head because the storage unit is NOT open to the outdoors. I personally feel completely safe at Bel-Red Storage & also know my belongings are totally safe. All of these things add up to one great manager at Bel-Red Storage. The storage facility is very clean, has great security, and lots of units to choose from. I like that I am inside when I'm trying to move something in or out of my storage unit. The staff is very friendly, if slightly disorganized at times. They always fix things right away and never give me problems. I have used this storage facility for business now for nearly 3 years and I can not say how helpful and friendly the staff are there. I have lost my key..... and they had a replacement one for me. I have had boxes turn up broken and items fall out, and they reboxed for me and worked with the delivering FEDEX team to make sure everything was found. I am always offered coffee, a friendly smile and a warm atmosphere. Deliveries are put away for me into my storage unit. I get phone call reminders when they arrive. On the occasion that my credit card expired and my payment did not go through, I had a very polite request, the next time I went in if I could sort this out. The team here are professional, honest and hardworking. I would recommend this for anyone who needs a good standard of service and delivery service! read more

If you want privacy and security do not store here. They claim your secuirty is a priority. When you are in their lobby you can see the persons name and storage unit number on their big screen TV. As I was waiting to rent a storsge unit. I saw the last person that entered the building. It showed their first and last name and storsge unit number. I then saw another tenants name scrolling on the TV security screen as they entered the building. Everyone in the lobby could see private information of who rented there. What kind of security is that? I sat in the chair and watched as the agent Nick was rude and condescending to the customers. One couple was renting a u haul and Nick was irritated and acted like their questions about insurance was a bother to him. The next gentlemen wanted to rent a storage unit. He asked about prices and Nick said do you want the unit or not. I coukd not belive how he treats the customers. MANAGEMENT should be ashamed or go in and observe the way he treats potential customers. I was up next and ssked Nick why they show customers First, Last and also unit numbers on the big security screen in the lobby. He said that shows who entered the building last. I said what kind of security is that giving out personal information along with their unit number. Keep it hidden out of the eyes of others sitting in the lobby. That would make more sense. He was rude to me and would not give me any prices on storage units. I only inquired as I do not want my name scrolling on the TV if I rented there. I walked out ....now I know the names First, Last. and the unit numbers of many that rent storage at Urban Storage in Bellevue. That is scary and a serious security and privacy issue. All seen while waiting in their lobby. Seeing the way Nick treated customers and their reactions I can see why people walk out. read more

Highly Unprofessional. The guy - Josh Reed is highly unprofessional and rude. He has no customer sense. I had a 2 PM reservation for Uhaul and when i reached the place he told he doesn't have any truck, when I asked him how long will it take, he will say he has no information, in spite of just requesting information about my reservation he had " I don't know and I don't care" attitude. Company needs to definitely teach them a lesson to make sure their services are not affected in this competitive world. read more

Been a customer here for a few years, have two units, the result of moving in with my SO and having extra furniture and family who have passed and I have mementos and belongings I can't part with. The staff are helpful and nice but the cost... good bloody LORD, it is expensive! The rates just went up too, and we are going to work on combining units and trying to fit more stuff at home because it is VERY expensive. There is a rental car pickup/return in the bottom floor, and sometimes people will park in load/unload spots for the storage portion (despite them being labeled as NOT for rental cars), but Bel-Red Storage is quick to talk to the rental agency and get the cars moved so that you can access one of the convenient load/unload spots in front. Security is good, access availability is nice, and when my purse was stolen and I lost my backup keys, (had just lost the primary ones before that), they were helpful and friendly, checked my ID to ensure I was who I said I was, etc. No problems with the staff, just the cost! read more

I make a reservation for pick up 1pm, but i got message said the truck has been move to another city. We need to drive 20miles to pick up. That's ridiculous. Actually, they have the car, but they won't give to us. I'm so disappointed about their service. read more

Such a horrible experience! The uhaul service at this facility was absolutely unprofessional. I showed up with my conformation number-guaranteeing my truck rental and was appalled with the lack of customer service. Not only was the old man at the front desk rude repeating " well I haven't figured out how to have more trucks appear" not only to me but to two other customers that came in after me. He stopped helping me in the middle of me showing him multiple emails for the order and the confirmation to tell another couple how I'm in the same boat and there's no trucks for anyone. Once I got the uhaul rep on the phone, who I spoke with earlier confirming the apt in the morning, she asked to speak with him and again he was rude to her saying "well I don't have any trucks and don't know to how to make one magically appear" he just had that I don't care about anything attitude. Although the truck I had reserved days earlier was sitting out front, he explained to her someone called today and reserved it as well. Luckily ann on the phone from uhaul was very kind and added $50 to my card for this horrible inconvenience and called around to find a different rental to me. Moving is stressful as it is- no one needs this guy's attitude on top of everything. I do not recommend ever trying to rent from this establishment. Take your money elsewhere-There's another uhaul rental right around the corner at Overlake towing. read more

An ALL-HASSLE, ALL-THE-TIME NIGHTMARE! After a few years of using this facility for my business, I can say that more often than not, they come up with some reason why you cannot have access to your stuff. They always create an issue to delay entry. Either they've botched or lost the paperwork on who is allowed access, or they want to lock you out for non-payment if your check is even the slightest bit late, no matter how long you've been a customer. They were quite up-front in telling me that they've got so much business that they would be happy to see me leave ("we could use the space"). I'm happy to report I'm doing just that. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!!! They have made one clerical error after another in charging me. I am on auto-pay but they MESSED UP and did not put in my account information so I get a letter that I can no longer access my stuff! I called and got it straightened out but Geez I was standing right there when he input my credit card data to set up the auto-pay. How can you mess that up? I bet down the road I will have a lean show up on my credit report and will have to go back and get these idiots to clear that up too! read more

OK, it was more expensive than the other places we've used...but it was worth it! We had to change how much storage we needed three or four times, as we went from storing some things temporarily while we had our house listed for sale, to storing more while we prepared to move out, to storing less as we gradually moved into the new home. They were professional, polite, and able to find us just what we needed, when we needed it...AND this has got to be the most secure, cleanest place we've ever seen. We highly recommend it! read more

My sister and I had to rent a place for our parents items when they moved to "senior living." At "brand X" it was horrible. So when dad passed, My sister took it upon herself to get a larger unit at BelRed Storage. What an upgrade! I love this place! It is bright and clean with cameras 24x7, double locks on access doors and of course your own lock on your individual unit. It is warm, units have timed lighting, and music piped in & the halls have motion activated lighting. BEST of all is the friendly care of the workers! They are always helpful & genuinely nice! I have nothing but great things to say about this storage facility. A special thank you to James and Emily for helping me close out my dad's unit, and open up another one. With my dad's recent passing, I have had many things to take care of, one of them being to move everything out of his apartment. There were many memories, treasures, and pieces of furniture that my husband and I were not ready to part with so we decided that storage would be the best option...but we had more than would fit into the smaller unit. James made the process of finding a larger unit, and what was involved with the change, almost effortless. I received a pro-rated credit for the unused days on the smaller unit, and a first month's discount off the new one. I had only been at this facility for one week and used the electrical outlet in the hall outside my unit to plug in a hot water kettle. I went to the bathroom and came back and it was gone. I thought, Oh, some helpful fellow renter thought I locked up and forgot it and turned it into the lost and found! when I went downstairs to ask Nick, the manager (my first time meeting him) he was extreamly rude and nasty to me and told me I was stealing their electricty (it costs pennies to heat hot water) and causing a fire hazard (Oh, you mean your yearly fire dept inspection says you cant' use the electrical outlets?) and the facility was not intended for "residential" purposes (I was making some green tea, not sleeping there!) and that I was evicted and had to be out in 30 days. While I thought surely this is something so small it couldn't even be that big of a deal. This is extreamly unjust and Bel-Red Storage is run by communists. read more
