The customer service stinks. I was on hold for 40 minutes one day after having talked to a live person who insisted that they couldn't help me and transferred me to customer service. So, I tried the texting option but their automated service didn't have the choice I wanted help with. So, then I transferred to an "agent" via texting only to be told they couldn't help me either with what I thought was a simple request - to change the date of my auto pay. They need some serious improvements in their customer service department! read more

No access to the storage unit on Sundays and public holidays. Basically, when you go to work, they open; when you get off work (weekdays, 9 to 5) and Sundays, they close. Very inconvenient. It's a joke. I got a break in once and raised the rent rapidly over the months. read more

My rent was initially $143. Within 3 months they increased it , and increased it 3 more times all in the span of 18months to a final amount of $351 when I moved out. Seems like a typical bait and switch to me, and I am on a limited income. And even though I vacated on the 6th of the month, the contract says you have to pay the full months rent. I would not recommend Public Storage. read more

Prices start low and then they gouge you. Rent has gone up 150% in about 2 years. Maybe that is standard for the industry but it seems like a lot to me. The move-in process was not the best. There was miscommunication and mix-ups on corporate's end. The Facility smells bad. I would rent here again at the original price because it's conveniently located, but it's not a great facility. read more

I was called after entering an interest on their website and Melissa was very friendly and made it easy for me to rent the unit. She showed me all the best sizes and gave a lot of good info about the process to get in via app and access code. I was very speedily provided my unit and shown the lock I would use and I look forward to moving in. Melissa made it all very painless. I totally recommend this facility and know Melissa is a great steward of the storage units.. I feel safe. read more

Efficient. These folks literally have done better thru the whole process than those other +#"@;$ storage units in this area! The employees at both shifts (I was there 2 minutes before closing my first day and 5 mins before, again the next day, a Friday and a Saturday evening) helped answering my random questions without seeming bored, rushed, or uneducated. So the e-rental process seem to be fairly easy to follow I'm going to save her the most part it was pretty simple rent and pay online get your unit drive there they email you your code for the gate and your unit number when you get there your lock is inside bada bing Bada bing. Unless of course what happened to us we rented online well sorry reserved a unit ended up having to call the phone number four or five times because the payment for some reason was not going through and I told me I could pay there when I got there so I made it to the storage units and there was nobody on site so I called the number three or four times left messages no manager set for about an hour I did receive I forgot to say the unit number and code to get in the gate but when I punched it in the gate denied me access. After three or four attempts I made another three or four phone calls three of them getting dropped for some reason or hung up on while transferring and two I spoke to human beings the second one speaking to a human being I eventually found out that a manager had to see photo ID prior to me getting access code this was never ever mentioned anywhere in this process it was not a problem to show my ID it was just irritating that I had to drive to another facility to be able to show it because there was nobody on site at the one that I rented from also it was never mentioned so I couldn't line this up until I had already filled access entry several times and made several phone calls in the office was closed after 5:00 and I've been sitting there for an hour and a half so finally I was able to call me to manager at another facility which was very quick and painless I was there for about 2 seconds they saw my ID we were all good it's just the fact that there was such a runaround to be able to do this and it was not really necessary I could have uploaded it online or something anyhow the unit was clean the lock was in there once everything got straightened out it was fine but it didn't take hours to be able to get the unit when I believe it's idea is to be quick and painless and without headache all in all I'm glad that I got in and was able to start unloading my things out of the van that I'd rented that was pretty important and I did think they closed earlier but they're open till 9:00 so that was good also I believe there are some definite kinks they need to iron out and they should probably be a little bit more forthcoming with the extra tackons to their dollar for the first month because it's definitely not a dollar they tack on insurance 20 bucks for the lock $25 administration fee etc it can run out it can be almost $100 to rent so they should probably be a little bit more truthful in their advertising cuz it's definitely not a dollar still a good deal but unfortunately pretty deceiving. But like I said it was a nice unit I did get moved in before they closed the process would be great if it worked better and you were a bit more informative about things hopefully it's a good experience for me maybe it'll be a better experience for you but just a couple of things to think about. read more

If you want a manager who could care less about security of the building store here. Jennifer said the door is left open a lot by customers but dont worry. WHAT? I drove out many times and the door to access storge units is left wide open. I took photos too. I do not feel secure having my items here and only stored for a month. She apparently lives on site. You would think her job would be to make sure the doors are closed. Not safe, old, smells of a bad odor, and no one cares. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR VALUABLES. read more

Employees are friendly here. Whatever you do, don't pay extra for the insurance. There was a water pipe at the top of my unit B107. It leaked small oxidation spots on the arm of my suede couch. I unfortunately bought into their "insurance" for an extra $16 per month. When I tried to file a claim it was denied even though I just wanted to get the few spots professionally cleaned and they told me they couldn't confirm a water pipe in the unit. So, my advice is take pictures of your unit after you vacate since these people are not trustworthy and the insurance is a total scam. read more

I have had a unit here for about 14 months. It was Jennifer that rented me my unit and checked me in, the process was easy and painless. It was only supposed to for 6 months, well the purchase of our condo took longer than expected and so did the renovations turning that six months into 14. Over that time I filled up my first storage unit and needed a second one, it was never a question where I was going to put my stuff. Granted it would have been easier to put my new larger purchases closer to me in Sammamish but I had to stay loyal to Jennifer and get my second unit in Bellevue. And I am so glad I did. She put my second unit right next to my first one making it so when we move our stuff out it will be so easy on us! Thank you so much Jennifer! You are AWESOME! Need a storage unit? Got a call today saying that my unit got broken in. There are at least 20 other units got broken in. The staff doesn't care much about it. Just hand me the insurance clam instruction. Luckily, my stuff is not that valuable. read more

I have had a good history with Public Storage until this past month. I have always paid my storage rental, even during the difficulties of COVID and having sporadic employment. All of a sudden, payment by the end of the month was unacceptable. We never could talk; however, I did leave messages letting them know that i would pay by the end f the month, as I have in the past. This month, however, they auctioned the contents of my storage. This included my college diplomas and other personal content. I understand that it happens to many people. However, I only owed for this month and have a history of paying my rental cost. They also didn't send me a pay by date before auctioning my things. In the past, a date was sent. I received no notice of date to pay by. I even left messages and told them of my payment history. No one left a message telling me that an auction was about to occur. Someone called back but did not leave a message about my storage. I did not even receive an email with a date stating when I need to pay by. I was confused because I don't understand how they can auction my thing when I only owed for this month. A good relationship went sour. read more

I was so pleased with how incredibly helpful Jennifer was. She made me feel very secure and confident in choosing this location to store my belongings. It was stress free and rather enjoyable which was so refreshing compared to the reason I needed a unit in the first place. Where is anyone in charge here? Sign says the manager us out and return at a certain time. The unfortunate thing I'd that it's past that time and I am still waiting. I can't wait any longer! Okay, waited for 15 minutes beyond the time stated. Not acceptable! Then, I was told the Internet is not working so manager can't close me out. I had to wait even longer for her to call another place to close me out. Very frustrating. If you're going to vacate, make sure you tell them in advance otherwise they charge you for a whole month even if you take everything out by the 3rd of the month. read more

Jennifer is very helpful, move in and move out was efficient with no billing problems at all. All our items were safe and secure until moving out. Only complaint is that maneuvering a 26' truck on the property was very tight, although many storage locations have a similar problem. read more

Seems to be a new manager or on site team Had a unit there for 10+ years. Recently (after many years of dropping stuff off, retrieving things, etc) started sorting through some things in back and noticed wet boxes. Dug a little deeper and found the back of the unit had recently had some water seeping in. Several pieces of furniture and over 100 flattened storage boxes we were saving for a move were utterly destroyed. Told the weekend male manager who asked if we had insurance (we did) and he handed us a form. Said he'd have to look to see if there was a unit available for us to move into. Asked if they would provide any assistance (it was a 10x25 space) and he said they couldn't because of potential liability issues. Never contacted us in 7-10 days about moving units. Decided we'd move elsewhere. In the course of moving out found rat droppings all over everything. This hasn't ever been a problem and we had rearranged quite a bit over the prior winter, so this is a recent issue. Perhaps due to light rail construction nearby, but still -- YUCK! Don't leave anything you care about in this location. Rate hikes every year and price doubled in the last 4 years. System wouldn't allow for zero stars -- that's I gave one. read more

Jennifer was awesome.....professional, smooth and easy to deal with.

I had 2 people move into my tiny unit which was not big enough so we had to find somewhere to store our belongings till our lease ran out. Public Storage was open at the time we went down on a late afternoon. The office is small and there is only 1 person on staff, but our trip was short, easy and our deal was 3 months of storage for a very affordable price. We hopped on that chance. The units are outside as well as inside. We took an inside unit. I don't believe we were allowed to pick which unit we wanted but we got the 2nd floor in the very back. The inside was extremely cold but secure. There is even a gate outside the front and the road which this place is located on is very safe. The only complaint i have is the elevator and lugging our items to the top floor. We kept having to lock our car, take everything out in one small area but the storage unit we got was just the right size. When we went to retrieve our stuff when the 3 months were up, everything was safe and secured and the process was a breeze. I would recommend this place for short time use. We had no trouble at all with the paperwork and had no staff issues. If i could remember who assisted us, i would give her credit. I just hope i never have to lug anything up here again. I was exhausted after moving. read more
