BEWARE: NEGATIVE STARS. THEY TAKE ADVANCE AND NEVER SHOW UP. THEY ARE FRAUD!…read more They are the most unethical , unreliable and pathetic movers in the whole world! It all started in May 2017. I hired them and paid a whooping $100 advance to book my reservation. I was totally duped. On the day of move they never showed up! They were supposed to be at our home at 1pm and on phone they kept saying we are on our way! 3pm I call them to ask the ETA and the phone's off! Voicemail full! and 6 pm we hired someone else to do the job. I called them again to ask what went wrong and their pathetic receptionist said we don't have your booking! I sent them the $100 transaction that successfully went through and all the calls I made and all the replies they gave of "we are on the way" and she just kept pushing I never hired them! I still have a $100 transaction in my bank statement. I talked to manager and they apologized and said they will refund but that F**king never happened! From May till November! I am so close to make an official fraud complaint against this bogus company who dupes people into paying advance and never showing up.

These guys were awful…read more They showed up at the address we were leaving without the boxes and packing material they needed, then left to go get it (we were charged for this time). We were quoted $98 an hour, but that was apparently for two people, and they brought a third along in hopes that we would pay $148 an hour for all three of them (we did). They show up at the new place, baked. They broke a piece off my drafting table, a switch off a lamp (it's unusable now), knocked structural bits of my husband's bed and my (admittedly very cheap) mirror free, and reeked. Not "I've been working all day" reeked, but "I don't shower but maybe twice a month" reeked. After 11 hours of work, they sprung a bunch of surprise fees on us. Given the exorbitant final cost, maybe they should have mentioned that their credit card machine was "down" PRIOR to 1 AM? There was no way we could collectively pull enough out of ATMs to pay the total. I ended up going to the ATM and left my husband there, as there was no way I was either leaving our things alone, or leaving MYSELF alone with them. The apparent team lead made me uncomfortable. He just didn't seem like he was on the same planet as we were. He didn't bring a work order, which serves as our receipt. He asked us to write down how much we owed him and sign it, but we were uncomfortable writing already suspect totals down without a work order. After a lot of awkward back and forth, we refused and simply wrote that we had paid him $500. He obliquely threatened my husband by telling us a story about a time he almost got in a fight with a guy who wouldn't give him his money ("the police were called and everything"). He asked us to write a review, after all that(?) I'm pretty sure he had no idea what was going on. Then, he said he'd be back tomorrow. He was. He was standing outside our door the next day. He blew up my husband's phone all day, increasingly desperate about getting the money. It was bizarre, not just because we've never had people hound us like that, but because you'd think whether we spoke to his boss first or not, would not affect how much money he got at the end. Except not so much. When we finally got to speak to his boss, we got the impression something was up. He told us that the credit card machine had NEVER been down, and that the hourly rate for 3 people was $137, not $148. We were also overcharged for boxes - slightly over twice their actual price. Ultimately, we were able to pay at the original rate quoted to us, and did not pay for the packing supplies. I think the team lead has been telling people the credit card machine is "down" in order to get cash-only transactions that his boss can't track, then pocketing the overages. I feel for the company, but until they take decisive steps to prevent clients from being defrauded, this is a total no-go.

But that totally changed, when I read and did my research on this particular service with, Shepard International Shipping. I made a big decision in my life, and decided to move from Redmond, WA to Asia (Japan), since I got a job offer in teaching English and ASL. I'm so happy to have found these kind people who do the moving for me. Totally worth every penny. Honestly, when I arrived in Japan, I had no worries, knowing that my stuff would be there at my condo, ready for me to unpack my new life. Communication is key, and Shepard was up to par with that. The professionalism that these folks have, is amazing in my book. I can go on and on in this review. If anyone else if planning to do that big move, please read my review and use their services. Thank you again, Shepard International Shipping.

I want to give a big kudos to their coordination and overall moving services. There was a set plan and they also had special bins for her valuables and they were able to make sure that all fragile objects were marked and handled with great care. I really appreciate all their hard work to do this within a short amount of time. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to do a big or small move, they will take care of you.

You have found the PERFECT owner and team to help you with one of life's most stressful situations... moving my elderly parents. I get very anxious with unknown people helping my parents with anything. Laura and her team felt precise, honest, fast, and thorough. They helped my parents with a major downsize and move after 10 years in one place, and I truly can't imagine how we would have managed it without her. I felt very, very, very comfortable around her and her Organizing Specialists, who took delicate, intentional care with my parents, their art, and the special things handed down from family. My Dad had an incredibly cluttered "man cave" that even my Mom couldn't get in. One of Laura's specialists was able to deal with my Dad's prickly erratic intense vibe and completely organized and packed up his room!!!! They even managed huge drawer chests and a huge couch with total grace and precision. On top of that, they took things to storage also coordinated donations of a ton of big and small things that could benefit others. Thru even cleaned some items that were going to donate. Laura's Organizing Specialists were amazing and she had a good moving crew. What could have been an overwhelming and emotional experience felt seamless, thoughtful, and completely under control!!! If you're facing a move, especially one involving downsizing with 80 year old humans please yourself a favor and work with Laura and the team at Eliminate Chaos. THE BEST! Thank you!

As my husband and I began planning for a cross-country move with two small children, we were…read morelooking for any services that might alleviate some of the planning burden from our shoulders and were pleased to meet Laura and the team at Eliminate Chaos. This pleasure would turn out to be quite misguided, and I am frustrated to say that all we received for our $3,000 was connections to the auto shipping and moving companies - both of whom we would then have to deal with directly ourselves for all of the details. My dissatisfaction with Laura's company began with something fairly innocuous - we were urged to send over a file as quickly as possible, and so I sent them a link to a Google Sheet document that they could download and save to their desktop as an Excel file. Imagine my surprise to receive an email (that I am sure I was charged for time on) directly from Laura saying "we do not use Google in our office". My ire continued to grow when the first moving estimate we received from the Eliminate Chaos team was for a PODS rental and delivery after I had specifically noted that I have a piano we need moved, and that I was not comfortable with sending that in a POD. Moreover, when we asked for the estimates to be sent as PDF attachments (and it is very easy to print an email to PDF and send), we again received an email directly from Laura (and again, I am sure we were charged for her time here) including phrasing such as "before [employee] spends more time on your project, it would be helpful to have you clarify specifically how you'd like this information presented." We had specified. We wanted separate PDF attachments. She pushed back again with "None of the quotes we've received have come via a PDF". Again, it is incredibly simple to click print to PDF on an email. In that same email thread, Laura said she would provide an estimate for packing services "sometime next week". This was on March 25. On April 8 (two weeks later), I emailed Laura to ask about the estimate, as we had not yet received it and in fact had already paid over $2,000 for their services. Her response was like a Dickens novel - clearly getting paid by the word - for a long-winded note that amounted to "I haven't done it yet and need another week. It'd be cheaper to have the movers do it." As a result, I told her that we would have the movers do it and did not need an estimate. Of course there was one more invoice to come - resulting from the email back and forth - bringing our grand total of expenses paid to Eliminate Chaos to just over $3,000. And as I said above, what we got out amounted to nothing more than a connection to the auto transport company and the moving company. Laura would argue her team came and did a walk-through of the house, taking pictures and preparing an initial inventory, and that is true...but it is also true that we had to heavily edit her inventory sheet and then repeat the entire process with the moving company for their final non-binding estimate. Would I use Eliminate Chaos again or recommend it to a friend? 0 out of 10. The only thing they eliminated was thousands of dollars from my bank account that would have been better used to cover closing costs on a new home.

Of course, after talking about such a move for years, we decided to do it during the pandemic which made everything harder for us. We packed all our boxes ourselves, so hired Kedric to "tetris" everything into our PODS container. Kedric and his team did a great job of communicating with me on pricing, schedule, and services available. Overall communication was excellent. My 16 foot PODS container was not big enough for all my stuff so we had to extend the project to another day to load a second container. Both days, Kedric brought a team of 2 workers. He was good at managing them. Luckily due to the pandemic, Kedric's schedule was open enough to accommodate the second day. Everything was well packed, I guess we'll have to write another review when our new home is complete and we unpack our furniture and goods. Only then will we really know how well it was packed in the PODS. The one thing I wished I'd known was how many blankets were needed for packing around furniture and odd-shaped items like floor lamps. I had a few bedspreads and blankets but had to buy so many from Kedric that it really raised my overall bill. If I had to do it again, I would attempt to buy some lightly used blankets or buy a huge number wholesale. But that's not Kedric's fault, just my ignorance.

After a number of…read moreemails back-and-forth with the company where they would call or email me and say that they were available that day (which sometimes isn't feasible), we agreed on a date. The movers picked up the treadmill from the seller and apparently banged it around a little bit (they texted me that information) as they were disassembling and moving it. When they got to my place, they were not the most graceful with it, but it didn't set off any red flags to me. They assembled it, and it didn't turn on. They tried troubleshooting for about a half hour and then told me they couldn't figure it out and handed me the bill. I called a supervisor, who had the general manager call me, who was a very unpleasant person to deal with. He was citing a contract which I had never signed, nor been shown before the work was started. He said that I was being unreasonable for expecting that movers would be able to move something which required assembly, that they won't be responsible if their movers break internal components without an external sign of breaking and told me that maybe the treadmill wasn't working "because I bought a shitty treadmill." After a solid 20 minutes of arguing with him, I finally got him to tell me the process for filing a damage report, which he tried to blame on me because I didn't use those specific words. So, as of this moment, I have a non-working treadmill in my living room and a list of things to-do to get some portion of my money back for their neglect. Just what I always wanted. I will never ever do business with them again, and I do not recommend them to anyone else.

It was an upright Baldwin piano. Most folks I got a hold of couldn't fit me into their schedule or were 50% more expensive than these movers. The move was across wood floors down two small steps, then into my home which had one small step and wood floors. They worked well together to prep the piano for the transition out of the house, to the truck, and into the next house. They handled everything smoothly and cooperatively. The whole move was complete within an hour from start to finish (it was a 6mile drive from Mill Creek to Bothell). I was very grateful for their service and customer service. The minor room for improvements: 1) They had set out for the job without my phone number on hand for some reason and I had to call to verify. They did have the address, but were waiting to connect with me. 2) I gave them the move-to address and though they knew the general area, they may not have used GPS or a map because they had turned off on a wrong street which prompted another call on my part. I'm not 100% certain of why these issues occurred, but I was somewhat surprised. Otherwise, I would recommend them, especially for small moves like mine. And if they show up with their moving pick-up truck don't be put out because they moved the piano just fine in it.
