I rented a 8ft x 10ft unit with West Coast Storage from October 2020-Feb 2021 and had nothing short of a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and the monthly rates are super reasonable. The building is clean, in a safe area, and secured with passcode entry at the front door and elevators. I used a professional moving company for my move and they had no problem getting in and out of the facilities. Scam scam scam Got an online deal which was not bad for a 5x5 room. When arrived found out it's only good for 3 months and after that going 2 times higher. I mean WTF??? Take your business somewhere else UPDATE: The manager replied saying it's a web offer good for 3 months and even when the price doubles it's still a good price. Never in all my life have I had to deal with such disrespectful, rude, lying, backstabbing and dishonest management or people for that matter. So the first time I went to WCSS Bellevue, I was actually looking for a place closer to where I live. The manager Remy recommend me to one of the location over Columbia city. In my opinion she was very friendly and was professional. I live close to Seattle so i went there, the office wasn't really organized. The outside was messy. The female employee opened door for me. i would say she was rude, i don't think she knows what she is doing. Well, I decided to drive extra 20 minutes back to bellevue location. Eamon was very nice, friendly, know what he is doing, listing out all the options along with map. And much more clean and organized office. Eamon also told us about the trunks. I rented a storage unit for a period of 7 months. The on-site manager Jacqueline Peters, is not friendly and in my opinion very lazy. I could go in about a number of failures but, I will limit my comments to this. I spoke with her prior to vacating my storage unit. I informed her I would vacate my unit but for a brief period I may consider getting a larger unit while in the process of moving. On the day I vacated she advised me I had to give a 10 day written notice and even then, the company does not give prorated refunds on the monthly fee. Read the contract! Bad business! read more

The broken truck is parked at their front door for months. NEVER REPAIRED. NEVER ALLOW PEOPLE TO USE. They said it is broken because someone put diesel instead of gasoline in it and broke it. But, it has been months and months ago when they said that, and the truck was never repaired since. THEY LIED about letting people use the truck for free when moving in. They don't understand how difficult it is when someone needs to move big stuff into the storage. Other nearby storage companies have a truck for their customers to use- whether free or paid. We've used many self-storage locations before, in a variety of cities, and this was our best experience EVER. From the moment we walked in the door the staff took great care of us. With our elders aging out of living independently in their own home, we had a need for storage for the time being. Having too much stuff that you can't bear to part with and can't fit in your own facilities is definitely a first world problem, and I'm actually embarrassed that I've come to this. That said, West Coast has accommodated us quite well. They have a good selection of sizes of space, the security seems good, and the climate and humidity controls seem to work. Here in the Pacific Northwet your stuff will be destroyed by dampness in short order without the climate control. This month they had a flooding incident when water from the sprinklers leaked into the first and lower floors. We got a call, and moved our stuff up a floor. It was a PITA to be sure, but we got a price break on rental and a free month for our trouble. Our stuff is now above ground, and it gets hotter on the second floor, but no water intrusion. The guy said they made it through our very wet winter with no leakage, but something clearly happened below the soil line that they're going to have to dig out and fix. All hours accessibility, carts to move your stuff, and the security make this a good option for what it is. read more
