But there was never a walk through before handing the truck. the keys there you go. -We did a thoughtful cleaning to the truck with our garden hose and wide clean, and they still charge me $25 for cleaning service because they said the van was dirty . The manager excuse was there was some foot prints. we washed it before returning. -The manager agreed the charges as mentioned above are false and promised to correct it and reverse the wrong charge , and tell me to go home wait but nothing happened . Later i came out to the store the manager Jessica/Jessie said she was busy so forgot to correct it as promised so she told me to go home and wait once again, and nothing happened. We have used this place three times. This is the closest to our location. All three times we had problems with place and all three time the manager adjusts the price for the staff. but the last time the adjustment was none. even when she promised she will. We took our business to Enterprise's truck location on 4th Ave. They were so much better in pricing. We saved money and had zero issues. after we return our rental the charge on cc matched was we expected to pay. zero surprised charges. I dont recommend this uhaul always had negative experiences.

I was quoted an estimated total of $43.07 for a local truck rental, but after returning the truck I was charged $93.34. The charge included 24 miles and 2 gallons of gas, despite only driving 22 miles and returning the truck fueled above the full marker. When I presented my drop-off photos and fuel transaction, instead of simply correcting the bill, they offered a partial correction. They refused to remove the 2-gallon fuel charge and acted like they were doing me a favor only partially overcharging me. If you rent here document everything and do not assume that they will correct the bill willingly.

I returned my truck to the Issaquah location with the fuel gauge above the full mark, but instead of a routine return, the woman working there came outside, looked at the gauge, and immediately started yelling at me -- escalating the interaction with so much rage it caught me completely off guard. "That is not full!" she screamed, flailing her arms in frustration. Then she shouted, "I don't have time for this sh*t!" and stormed back inside. I was stunned. All of this over something so minor -- a barely perceptible difference in the fuel needle. Her response was completely volatile and disproportionate, and I was honestly shocked by how quickly she escalated. I didn't walk away to avoid responsibility -- I left because I didn't feel safe engaging with someone that aggressive. Even if there was a misunderstanding about the fuel, no one deserves to be spoken to like that. If that's how she treats a paying customer, I can only imagine how she handles conflict in her personal life. Afterward, I was charged a Top Off Fuel fee, a $35 REFU fee, and a $20 drop-off fee, despite returning the truck to the same location. It felt like retaliation for not giving in to her tantrum. To Budget's credit, their corporate customer service team was professional and empathetic. They reviewed my concerns and issued a partial refund, which I appreciated. But the in-person experience at this location was disturbing and unacceptable. And judging by other reviews, I'm far from the only person who's had this kind of encounter at this location. It's clear this behavior is part of a pattern -- not just a bad day. Avoid this location. No one should be subjected to this kind of treatment -- especially over something so small.

I was told to come back in 2 hours, and when I did, I learned they didn't have a dolly, nor one at all for a while. The staff had 1 month to ensure they would have the inventory for my reservation, yet they took zero responsibility for their mismanagement. The male front desk representative showed no empathy or accountability, saying they were just a Uhaul "partner" and telling me to call Uhaul myself. Perhaps he didn't understand what the word "partner" meant, a term used to indicate supporting one another, in this case, between Uhaul and Issaquah Highlands Self Storage - something this man demonstrated he didn't know how to do. After 30 minutes on hold, Uhaul's only solution was sending me to another location 30 minutes away in Redmond, a 1-hour roundtrip, with no compensation for the time or gas. I instead did my own research and drove 10 mins to Issaquah Newport Self Storage, where a representative there pulled some strings and got me both a truck and dolly for same-day rental from her own location in 15 minutes, hassle-free. She did this without us having to explain the awful experience we had at Issaquah Highlands storage. She even took care of calling Uhaul to issue me a refund for the unmet reservation earlier. The difference in service between these storage businesses were night and day.
