This is a place I don't often frequent but on this visit I would say 3.75 stars because the pancakes were great. (Not pancake house great) but were actually cooked to perfection and golden brown and delicious. Coffee is drinkable but not anything to write home about. The reason for a 3 is due to the fact that the times we have been here before the food has been ok or, on a occasion or two, just plain bad. Stopped here for brunch today after church. It was good. I wasn't sure if I wanted a lunch item, or a breakfast item. I ended up having an omelette it was good. The side of potatoes were not hot and tasted like they had been sitting for a few. My wife had the harvest Benedict she said it was good but wished she would of got the original because the lack of meat on it made it not as good as a regular Bennie. Although we still prefer the Hilliard Scramblers location, the food was better on our second visit and the service was excellent! I had the Pumpkin French Toast, which is a fall seasonal special, and it was delicious! I'd highly recommend trying it. My fiancé was less impressed with his breakfast: the Classic. I would definitely eat here again. I went here with a large group and we did call ahead. The manager was very accommodating and put us in the back corner - she already had the tables set up. It was right against the window, which was atmospherically awesome because the sun was blazing through the window, which made me feel very serene and at peace. And warm too! But not too warm, because the AC was on. The meal was pretty good. In fact, everyone had positive things to say about what they ate. We talked about it afterward. If I'm being honest, I don't think it's any better than something would get at Denny's, Bob Evans, or IHOP, but it depends on the atmosphere you're looking for. The prices are very reasonable as well. I know this is a chain, but it doesn't feel like it. It feels like an independent diner, which I enjoy. The service was fantastic - our waitress was an education student at either Otterbein or OSU and she was very attentive to our group. The food itself was nothing to get excited about: I ate an omelette and hashbrowns and had no complaints. Not fantastic, but tasted good. Again, I'll go here again and try something else next time. I love all breakfast places! This was my first visit to Scrambler Marie's, per a friend's suggestion. I went with an omelette, and it was delicious! Came with a bread and a side, too. Tons of food for under $10. My friend ordered a banana nut pancake and yogurt parfait. She swears their pancakes are the best in town and "dreams of the banana nut pancakes." The rest of the menu had a variety of options from low-cal to vegetarian and in between. Service was great. I thought a Saturday at 1 may be packed, but the place was actually slowing down. We gave a 2 because the service is outstanding however, we came here to eat good food, and we were disappointed. I ordered the Mexican style burrito and my GF ordered the banana nut pancakes. My GF was informed the pancakes were all you could eat. The decor is filled with what they serve, but the servings definitely do not match the photos. The burrito was more layers of bread than food content and the pancakes were made fluffy and circumference was greater than the plate they were served and very dry. I "think" my GF found one nut out of three giant pancakes?!? Our belief is that the cook was lazy and didn't want to cook any additional food so, he provided crap! Our expectations weren't reality. We took our granddaughter out for breakfast here and was very happy we did. Eden, our server, was efficient and pleasant. The place was quite crowded but there were a lot of servers and things moved quickly. My husband had the 'classic' and loved his pancakes, but thought his hashbrowns could have been cooked longer. My granddaughter ordered the stuffed french toast and liked it but thought it was just heavy cream cheese between two pieces of bread (normally stuffed french toast is whipped, flavored cream cheese stuffed in a pocket of thick french bread. Best place for a relaxing, family-friendly brunch. My tip: Go early on weekends as this place is always on a wait by 10am. The service is always friendly and fast, the food consistently good, and they have a wide variety to choose from. I also think compared to some of the other brunch places - Bob Evans, First Watch, etc this place is #1. You get better food and it's more affordable! The portions are huge. I love their breakfast skillets and their basted eggs and my four year old loves their stacks of pancakes. Really nice kids menu as well. The only thing that keeps it from being a solid 5 stars is that they reuse their crayons for the kids - they keep them in little tupperware containers and pass out to the kids and then collect when you're done. The Scrambler Marie's menu is, compared to others of its kind, very modification-friendly. I thought there were an above-average number of menu items that highlighted vegetable ingredients, which you can't always count on. Tons of fresh veg in my omelette without it being soggy. Fruit cup was a little bit of a letdown, only because it's the dreaded underripe melon/grape combo. Awesome selection of various breads to accompany your meal! Food came out quickly. Waitstaff was very friendly. I didn't feel rushed at all, and very attended to. A lot of the dining room seemed to be regulars. I was sitting somewhat near the server station, and could overhear the staff chatting and managing their tables -- they all seemed upbeat, eager to help one another out, and even enjoying themselves (not that they have to be!). Flat out, I love it here. Its a little weird at first how eerily cheerful everyone is that works here...kind of like you can't tell if they all take happy pills, great actors or they're all just really happy to be there. Decent dining experience in suburbia strip mall... I have become kind of a brunch snob since I moved to Chicago. So as we drove down Polaris Parkway and I saw all the usuals- i.e. Applebee's, I wasn't expecting to be too impressed with today's dining experience. On the contrary, I was quite impressed overall. The menu provides many breakfast options spanning pancakes, wraps, omelettes, sandwiches, and crepes, along with some of the breakfast classics. She received bonus points for bringing out the check before we had finished our meal so we could have a quick get-a-way. For breakfast this place is tied with First Watch. Biggest pros: -unlimited pancakes, French toast and waffles (interchangeable). -call ahead seating. We had a big group and they were able to seat us relatively quickly. Cons: -if you want any sides with the pancakes, French toast or waffles (like eggs or sausage) it adds up quickly. -the turkey sausage wasn't great. -our table wasn't served all together. We arrived at 10:00 on a Saturday morning and it was extremely crowded. We were told a 20 minute wait but waited 30. The hostess was friendly but didn't mention there was a coffee stand to get coffee while waiting. There are a lot of options on the menu-something for everyone! The bottomless pancakes were a big hit with my son. The Field of Dreams sandwich was good. The loaded hash browns are great, almost too much cheese if that's possible. Coffee was good and our server offered to go cups. Our food was not served at the same time but only a few minute lag. We had to ask for ketchup and syrup because it wasn't on our table or delivered with our food, which I found odd because pancakes and hash browns were ordered. Gross. Where to begin. Well first off we ordered coffee and they brought us the typical chain restaurant coffee in a big pot and charged us for two mugs which I thought was a little ridiculous. But the coffee pot was leaking a black sludge like substance that server explained they knowingly put the coffee pots in said sludge. No apology just got a look like I was crazy for asking her to clean the sludge off my table. Which she did with her bare hand. Now to the food. Tasteless. I ordered an omelet that I'm convinced if I hadn't gotten turkey sausage in it, which tasted like a salt block, there would have been no flavor at all. The French toast my boyfriend ordered was like essentially just bread covered in whip cream. For a Breakfast/Lunch place I have got to say this place is average. While having a good menu with wide selection this experience at this location was OK. Getting here just before the noontime foot/car traffic coming out of the Chase McCoy Center was a good thing. This was my third trip to a Scrambler's and the experience was pretty much the same. Good coffee brought to the table in a thermal carafe, water was served to the table in a clear plastic carafe with lemon slices. Service was fairly quick to our needs and never went too long without table check-ins. As for the food, it was presented very well but overall the food temps were not as hot as it should have been for my plate and my guests. My omelette was hot since it had gravy on it but the "seasoned potato chunks" they are known for were warmish at best. I never like sending back fried foods and didn't have the time to wait for reheats but, this has been my experience in the past with this chain and this item. Overall this is a good location for a quick b'fast or brunch but' C'bus has much better to offer. read more

I usually go to Firat Watch and though I'd try somewhere different. Scrambler Marie's didn't compare. Upon being seated we noticed the table wasn't clean and the carpet was filthy. Not a good start so far. Our server was excellent and we were lucky to get her because all the other ones were mostly standing around doing nothing. But the manager was also just standing against the wall staring at people doing nothing, so I guess that's what they're encouraged to do. The food was sub-par. The eggs were dry and overcooked. The steak was dry and overcooked. The hash browns were pretty good though. The biscuits and gravy could have been good but someone that should be fired decided that green onions belong on top and it ruined them. Towards the ends of the meal the manager decided to quit holding the wall up and haphazardly swept the floor. Too many good breakfast/brunch spots in Columbus to waste time here. read more
