Always clean and tidy, friendly staff, and quick service. Food was great, enjoyed a Sunday brunch. As can be seen in my photos, this was my combo breakfast / lunch, all tasted great, special mention for the potatoes that were excellent, along with the muffin, that was a Biscov delight! Coffee was good and the staff made sure our cups were full Love the fact that we can get almost anything on the menu all day. Reason for the 4 stars was that the Espresso and Latte machines were faulty and my wife really wanted an iced Latte, which could not be done. Unfortunate, but should have options for the Sunday crowd! Does not really take the gloss off of the place, highly recommended. read more

Stopped by Mimi's Café near Polaris and had the Turkey Pesto Ciabatta, and it was very good and full of flavor. The combination of turkey, bacon, avocado, and melted mozzarella came together really well, and every bite had a nice balance of savory flavors. The turkey was flavorful, and I especially enjoyed the bacon and avocado on the toasted ciabatta bread. This is a great lunch spot in the Polaris / north Columbus area if you're looking for a satisfying sandwich with fresh ingredients and generous portions. The fries were a good classic side with the sandwich. Mimi's Café 1428 Polaris Pkwy Columbus, OH 43240 read more

I've been to another location in another state for dinner but didn't realize they had brunch. While we had made a reservation, it wasn't busy here anyway. Probably could've walked in. Service was fast. Probably since it wasn't that busy. Our server was super attentive, made sure we had enough water/coffee, even offered coffee to go. She made the experience here wonderful! I got the corned beef hash while my friends got the Santa Fe omelet and the chorizo omelet. Food portions are big. But the food itself left much to be desired. My hash was skimpy on the corned beef. And for some reason it still came with a side of potatoes even though the hash already had potatoes... Honestly, the food is nothing out of the ordinary. Some of the other options on the menu did look good and they do have seasonal items. Otherwise, I wasn't sold. Parking is easy though. Lots of parking spots here. read more

I am dying...well...I mean craving for some chicken pot pie, and I did some search and found this spot Walking in, this place look like some high end diner, you know, is diner but above Dennys and IHOP. Seated; place look very nice, clean My server look like she just woke up, not very friendly, but is alright, I'm not here for her, I'm here for the chicken pot pie! I think is like $17 and change, which is a little pricey, I think it should be maybe $10.99 or $11.99 max I also added a salad separately, not bad, can't remember the cost Chicken pot pie is above average, better than KFC, but not like I want to go back for it, you know what I mean. Also, as you can see on my photo, is literally just the chicken pot pie, and nothing else, so for $17, no side, at least come with a salad, but...nope. Came with a spoon ‍ That's why I said a little pricey, don't get me wrong, I will pay for whatever, but it must be worth what I'm paying. You know what I mean? After this meal, I gotta go home and cook me some Instant noodle. I probably won't be back since I don't feel what I'm paying is what I'm getting, but still seem like a lot of people like going here. Give it a tried read more

Had dinner here with a friend. Nice place . I had the pot pie which was really good and it was served very hot so had to wait for it to cool down alittle . Which was good I wouldn't want it to be not warm enough . My friend had the liver which was a large serving so she took some home . Had a nice patio that overlooks a pond , be nice this summer read more

Great food, great music and the service was wonderful. Will definitely be back to try out other items on the menu!

Came in on a Saturday morning for a job interview. Ordered a brie, mushroom and spinach omelette, which was outstanding. The side of potatoes wasn't anything special, and the coffee was pretty blah. Service was fast and friendly, and I would not hesitate to come back, read more

Went there for breakfast this morning after a horrible night, our server was just phenomenal and if I could recommend a restaurant to go to, it would be this one. We had a party of five and I would say we ordered a variety from the menu, from waffles to eggs Benedict which were all delicious. I did not think to take pictures as I wasn't planning on leaving a review Anyways, our server was awesome! She refilled our beverages often, checked up on us frequently, and even offered us "to go" coffees! Every person we encountered was genuinely so friendly and we had such a nice morning there. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you're looking for a new spot to try out! read more

A delightful brunch. We popped in at 12 on a Sunday. The decor is cute, like a French bistro. We had a quick 20 minute wait. We got our beverages quickly. The menu is massive with lots of variety and a hint of french influence. I ordered a turkey club with fries. Husband got ham and Swiss crepes. The club is giant and fresh. My husband loved his crepes. He did say the potatoes were bland. Service was great. It was efficient and prompt. We will definitely be back. read more

I came here with with my family for an impromptu Thanksgiving lunch without a reservation. The lot was so full that we were afraid we'd have to wait at least an hour. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a friendly man (the owner?) who was surprised we didn't have a reservation but asked us to have a seat while he would see what he could do. He came back within 5 minutes and walked us to a clean booth. He and our server were so kind and patient on a very busy Thanksgiving. The menu on Thanksgiving was a 3-course turkey meal for $30 each -- choice of soup or salad; dark, white, or both turkey with a BUNCH of sides; a slice of pumpkin or pecan pie. The man even came back to give us an extra menu just in case one of us wasn't up for the standard turkey entree, which was so sweet. The food was all fresh and actually quick to come out. It was understandably all sliced turkey with no skin (not my fav) but it was great with all the toppings. I also had the honey peach latte, which was strong in coffee and light in sweetness, which pleasantly surprised me. The whole restaurant, including bathrooms, was very clean and pleasant. (Although the sink water was horribly cold.) The decor and warmth reminded me of an old country restaurant back in West Virginia. The man chatted with my family as we were leaving too, and we felt genuinely appreciated and welcome there. We will definitely be back. Can't wait to try their full menu! read more

A friend and I grabbed lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Mimi's parking lot was fairly full. We walked in and we were greeted. There was no wait for our two person party. My friend and I mostly focused on the breakfast section on the menu. I quickly settled on the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Many other items sounded great but that one sounded the best. My friend ordered the Wildberry Crepes. We also both ordered coffee. My friend got an Iced Peanut Butter Mocha and I got a Cappuccino. The Cappuccino was okay but I would not order if I revisit. My friend enjoyed the PB Mocha. Our food arrived a little while after the coffee. My French Toast was two thick rolls with powdered sugar and maple syrup. The dish was delicious. It is one of my favorite French Toast dishes. Prices were a bit high but not outrageous. Service was solid. Our server was friendly and provided quick service. I would like to visit again and try other dishes, but it will be difficult to top the dish I ordered on this visit. read more

It's been years since I've eaten here until my most recent visit, last evening. I was pleasantly surprised with the delicious food and the amazing service. It seems like this place doesn't get a ton of traffic especially since it's tucked in a corner in front of the Polaris Mall. If you're looking for a decent meal, no wait or little wait time to be seated, I definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

Nice little restaurant in Polaris. The young lady and our waitress were both very nice and professional. We started with coffee, which was nice and strong, I also tried the Autumn Mimosa which was quite tasty! I ordered the Bacon, Mushroom and Brie omelette. My family and I came here for a quick lunch during the week. We got sat immediately and the server was super kind. We ordered the pineapple upside down muffin, the Lorraine quiche based on recommendation, and an omelet but I am not sure which one. I loved my quiche and the potatoes were good but really salty I didn't eat them. We all loved the muffin and my grandma said she didn't love her omelet because whatever the filling was, was too rich for her and it was overwhelming. Overall it was a pleasant experience. She would just order something else in the future. read more

I have positively reviewed Mimi's in the past and I will continue to do so because their food and service continues to be amazing! My last visit to Columbus, my partner and I went to Mimi's for every meal. The latest meal I enjoyed at Mimi's was their turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes (the personal sized gravy boat that came with my plate was a fun addition). My partner had the chicken parmesan, and the taste test I had was yummy and I would definitely be willing to try that dish on another visit. One dish I regret not trying was the pot roast. My partner ordered it and not only did the portion size look perfect for a smaller eater like me, but it was delicious! Meat, mashed potatoes, and carrots all in a yummy sauce? My partner kept laughing every time I stole another bite off of his plate. As for the service, every server we had was friendly, attentive, and did a great job, especially Claire, who we noted was doing amazing teaching another member of wait staff. My one critique is less of a critique and more of a questioning why the mashed potatoes that come with the turkey dish are seemingly different from the ones that come with the pot roast dish. I tried both and enjoyed the pot roast mashed potatoes way more than the turkey mashed potatoes. Both were good, but I preferred the pot roast mashed potatoes. I look forward to going to Mimi's next time I'm in the area to try out even more of their delicious menu. Thank you to Mimi's for feeding me and making me feel welcome yet again! read more

Reminiscent of a 1990's TGI Friday's or another Cbus classic Max & Erma's but with a twist - all day breakfast! Our table of five was happy with everything we ordered which ranged from chicken & waffles to jambalaya... and a number of things in between. We enjoyed the hot toasted bread ahead of the meal and the spinach & artichoke dip was great as well. By far the hit of the party was the bread pudding at desert. Healthy (or actually very *unhealthy*) portion with a whiskey sauce and a bit of whipped cream was really quite good. read more

I was in decisive on where to eat for breakfast and I wanted to check out somewhere I hadn't tried before. And I stopped in and the food was pretty good. My waitress was phenomenal. She was really sweet and went out her way to be sure me and my guest had all we needed for breakfast. I got the simple breakfast , two eggs with cheese wheat toast and breakfast potatoes. My guest got the bacon avocado meal. Which they really did enjoy. The restaurant was clean and just overall a good experience. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back and trying more menu options! read more

Worse restaurant I have ever been in, first I ordered a small strip steak, it was beyond tough, they took it back, so I said, can I get some fish, ok, now I am not exaggerating one bit, the fish was fried, but it was still a bit frozen in the middle, I could not believe it, we got up and left after I told the manager , he should be ashamed of serving this food. This was about four years ago and needless to say, I will never return or recommend ! read more

Solid brunch spot with the fam. Cute place. Nice service. Got the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Eggs left... a little to be desired but the french toast was definitely worth the carb-vestment. It's sat a little precariously in a mall parking lot, so don't let it confuse you too much. read more

My family of seven ate there yesterday for Mother's Day. We were all so disappointed with the service and quality of food. To begin: when we made the reservation, we were asked if we'd like the three-course menu or the regular. We opted for the regular, but when we got there we were told they were only offering the three-course menu today. This severely limited the menu. Then, they were out of two entrees. Later, we noticed a table behind us eating breakfast...this wasn't on the special menu. So were we lied to? Could we have ordered from the original menu? This would have definitely helped one of our family members that is a vegetarian and gluten-free! It wasn't busy, but service was slow. We all ordered a starter of either soup or salad. Two soups and one salad came out at a reasonable time, then another two salads, and finally two soups showed up about three minutes before the entrees came out. The entrees were mostly just okay; however, two ordered the beef short ribs. These were terrible! Fatty, tough, honestly inedible. We had to ask on more than one occasion for drink refills. The only thing that was noteworthy was dessert! Lava cake was good. My daughter's tiramisu was still partially frozen. That will be our last dining experience at Mimi's Cafe; there are so many restaurants near Polaris, we won't waste our money here again. This used to be a great spot, but it has really gone down; I'll be surprised if it's still open in a year. read more

Mimi's Cafe is the best place to eat anywhere around. They offer a great selection on their menu and service breakfast all day. The food is fresh and delicious. I had great expectations about this place but I think is no the best place I've been in a long time, not the worst but I feel I do not want to come back in a long long time. I had the waffles and fried chicken and it was more soggy chicken tender with a funny taste on a not so good waffle, disappointing from my perspective. The pancakes, were normal, nothing good to remember. The cold latte was well presented and tasty, but I did not come here for just a good coffee. The service was good enough to make you feel welcome and the restaurant was clean and organized. I hope to change my mind soon and give it another change to leave a better review. read more

Took my work crew for brunch. Walked in to realize the place had an old Perkins type feel. Dark, smelly old carpet, booths wood chipped and looked dirty. All the food we ordered tasted like a thrown together and microwaved. Very disappointed. Our waitress was good- other than that I'll never go back. Never received my apple crumb dessert ordered either. read more

The restaurant is very cute from the outdoors and indoor seating. It is good for large groups, but with reservations as the line was put of the door on the weekend. I ordered the mixed beery crepes from the summer menu with scrambled eggs and corned beef hash for an upcharge. I did not find the food flavorful. It reminded me of a chain restaurant feel. The corned beef hash was overly crispy and did not find it worth the price. For the portion size, the food is overpriced due to the lack of flavors. My friend ordered the quiche florentine and said it was good. They have lunch and dinner menus too, so maybe those are better than breakfast/brunch. read more

This "French themed" restaurant offers a variety both French-inspired and casual American fare. The menu offers enough variety that most anyone should be able to find something they like. My wife likes their French onion soup while I prefer the corn chowder. One of my favorite entrees is their fish and chips. As a burger consouier, however, I should warn you that their burger (while we'll-presented with all the fixings) is a pretty generic patty of ground meat. Overall, service is good, the prices are reasonable and the food (overall) is good. read more

Mimi's is a simple restaurant that serves up a large menu, including classic comfort food staples and an all-day breakfast. I tried the turkey ciabatta sandwich ($13) which came with a choice of salad or fries (I opted for both). The sale was really excellent. The portion was generous and all my lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The house vinaigrette was lovely as well. My sandwich was solid as well. The pesto mayonnaise was flavorful and my bread and fries were fresh, though the turkey was a bit on the dry side.
