Avocado toast with over easy egg and hash browns
Tara S.

First time here and while the ambiance was cheerful and the staff were friendly, ultimately I wasn't a fan of the food. I had the avocado toast with an egg and didn't particularly like the cowboy caviar and I thought the hash browns were over cooked.

Simple quality breakfast, outstanding service, and unbeatable price. Price $9.99 | Rating 10/10 Quick and early breakfast on my way home. Interior and exterior look great and there is parking in the back but don't miss the turn. Staff were so friendly with me and each other, checked on me, answered question, made jokes, and were always there when needed. Food selection was great with some unique items, I went for a omelette which came with toast and potatoes for $10. Very simple on flavor and cooking in the best way. Completely satisfied but not stuffed. They also have a "half bar" with beer and limited liquors but enough to enjoy a boozy brunch. Check was ready before I finished and I could have been in and out in 20 min if I wanted. With tip and tax I paid 14 and was VERY impressed. Would recommend to anyone!

I never got the chance to go to the old TeeJays but I figured since the business has stood the test of time, I better go support! Glad I did. Went with my family and had a delicious breakfast. Great service, and cool venue experience. Such a neat new location! My son loved his kids breakfast, and I was eyeing the cocktail menu. Would be a great Place to pregame with a hearty meal before an OSU game.

Belgian Waffle!

This location far exceeded my expectations and the staff is very friendly I got a chance to meet the manager she was very Hands-On came to the table served the table asked how your food was. My server her name was Candy she had the cutest little pigtails in her hair and of course being that it was on a Saturday all front staff had on a Buckeye attire... let's get down to the food. TJ's food never disappoints I'm sorry to hear that the Reynoldsburg location is closed. I I got the hen house special and my guest had Belgian waffle, hen house, grits, eggs over easy. All the food is very good it tastes wholesome and of course their famous gravy and biscuits is a HIT. Will return and I was told I should try the pineapple upside down French toast.

Visited Tee Jaye's for Sunday brunch, and I was happily impressed! I had never thought of going until it moved to this location, and I am glad I came out. To start, I want to give a big shoutout to our server Felicia, who was one of the best servers I've had in awhile. I ordered a Dr. Pepper and she let me know that when she tasted it earlier it was flat and did not have the 27 flavors I was looking for. She brought me a sample of it to see if I wanted it (she was correct, I went with a root beer). For any other pop lovers, you know how disappointing it is to get a flat/syrupy drink with your meal and Felicia made sure I avoided that tragedy. You can tell she really cares about her customers' experience! Now for the food-- We ordered the veggie scramble, sweet cream pancakes, and the hot chicken and cheesey grits. The sweet cream pancakes were some of the best I've had and the hot chicken and cheesey grits looked and tasted delicious (we LOVE Frank's Red Hot). The veggie scramble left something to be desired, as I probably could have cooked it at home, so it wouldn't be my first recommendation. However, the overall experience was so good I'm still giving 5 starts. Also they serve a pretty decent array of cocktails/beers/etc for a breakfast place! They have the same comfy booths and tables we all enjoyed at Bareburger, but brightened up the place with new, modern light fixtures, and breakfast murals. The garage doors let in tons of light, and the space feels bright and cheery overall. I think they hit the nail on the head in this location and will be bringing in a whole new crowd of younger breakfast lovers who enjoy a more modern look at an amazing price (not sure you'll find prices like this at the competing breakfast places in Clintonville).

Cornmeal Pancakes with butter

Finally had the Cornmeal Pancakes at Tee Jaye's and was delicious, tasty, and yummy. I had Sausage Patties and a Diet Pepsi with it to wash it down. I have had the Barnyard Buster twice and great meal, now Cornmeal Pancakes. I will get the Cornmeal Pancakes again at Tee Jaye's soon. The Barnyard Buster and Cornmeal Pancakes are now go-to meals at Tee Jaye's.

(It was freezing inside that restaurant) It was relatively empty The server was nice. Not sure what the delay was. kathy the server said there was a huge take out order that delayed our order and ours would be right out. (Which I feel may have been a fib.... Not sure but my gut say probably.... Why? No one had come in for a "big"take out order, I think she forgot to log in our order as she was distracted with the table next to us that had their former cook there. I could see that easily happening under this situation.) After waiting another three minutes and no food, we were "over" Over the Counter and nicely told her were leaving. To cancel our order. She nicely tried to entice us to stay saying the owner was going to give us a gift certificate... but that just further solidified that they "knew" our meals timing had gone sideways and we had been neglected. We chose to leave and we dont really plan on coming back. Why? The inside seemed old. We saw the kitchen from our table. It seemed disorganized. It gave off a bad vibe. Add our wait. Meh. Parking was easy since there is a free lot out back and there is a decent amount of street parking nearby. We got there during the hour between lunch and dinner where they are flipping the restaurant for the next meal. The server asked us if we would still like to come in and get some drinks and hang out until food was ready. We decided it was worth the wait. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. She even brought me a bag of ice for the milk I had to pump during the meal. We ordered some drinks and talked for a little while and she came back promptly at four to take our food orders. I ordered the seasonal salad, which had an incredible house made peppercorn vinaigrette, Delicata, squash, mixed greens, blueberries, walnuts, and a few other things. I also got a side of beer battered fries with Housemade ranch. Everything I got was five stars. I will honestly be dreaming about that salad and wish they sold the salad dressing by the bottle. I kind of regret not asking for something to go. My sisters enjoyed spinach artichoke dip, a burger, a pizza, the salmon dish, the hot honey brussels sprouts, the nonalcoholic wine, a strawberry lemonade, and a cocktail. The prices were pretty good, especially given the quality of food. The restaurant got pretty busy throughout the night, so it seems as though it is a fan favorite in the area. However, it never got too loud and there seemed to be enough seating that people didn't have to wait. It was a decent size dining room and they had a covered patio out back. I would definitely return and would recommend this place to a friend.

The place was dim and loud with music and people talking. They had to talk a bit louder to hear each other over the music. The ambience was trendy with cute moody decor blending the masculine dark walls with a touch of fake plants in the bank. We sat towards the back. The tables were very close together but we were comfortable. I ordered a Mimosa and added the Ketel One Cucumber Mint. It was very refreshing. I had the 3/$12 oysters and the Seasonal salad add grilled chicken. It was all delicious and our waitress was great! She informed us that she was new but did such a great job. The only qualms I had was the loudness. It was hard to hear my friends talking. It was a great little brunch spot and we went on the perfect beautiful day.

The atmosphere was modern with a southern twist. I'm not going to lie, I chuckled a bit when I noticed my water glass said "Bless Your Heart". In Appalachian culture, this is actually an insult. We had a large group, but the service was excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and everything was brought out timely and correctly. My food was really good! It was brunch time so I had coffee, the "Mimosa of the Moment" which was an apple cinnamon, a biscuit with blueberry preserves, and the Southern Shakshouka. All were fantastic and I would definitely get again. I also thought the price was affordable for the quantity.

I started with a specialty sip cocktail - an Orange Cinnamon Bun Old Fashioned, and ordered 3 apps since they were half-priced for happy hour. The Biscuits for a Cause (2 with butter, jam and honey), Fried Pickles (chips with ranch), and Famous Fried Green Tomatoes (I don't normally like goat cheese, but these are served with stone-ground goat cheese grits) were all fabulous and I had plenty to take home after trying all. I had a glass of red blend wine with my entree, which was the Pan-Seared Salmon. My two chosen sides were the mashed potatoes and fried okra. The salmon was perfectly cooked; it was a great dish. I also got the Rosemary & Parmesan Breakfast Potatoes to go to have with my breakfast this morning. The service, food and atmosphere were all very enjoyable. The manager also helped out bringing food, and checking on me. I would return for another meal.
