I've been to the TJ's on N. High St. in Clintonville twice now in a month and boy am I impressed it is about 10 times better than that horrible store they have on Hamilton Rd. in Whitehall. The service in Clintonville is fast, efficient and knowledgeable. The food is wonderful. The prices are really good and it's really a pleasant experience. I'm glad that I managed to make the trade off and go to Clintonville for my barnyard Buster they do a terrific job and wish them all the best. Thank you. read more

Hadn't been to a Tee Jaye's in decades. Always felt like a low-rent Bob Evans (which had itself gone downhill) plus I had several bad service and food experiences at different locations. But, this was handy, I wanted breakfast, and hey, supposedly this is a whole new version. I'd been to the location when it was a Bareburger or something, and liked the place. Redone a bit, but still a much newer feel than standard Tee Jaye's, and there's a bar. I didn't partake. But I enjoyed the brightness, and even the garage doors which they opened partway through the morning. Service was great. They weren't busy. The menu has some new items but I went with my standard Barnyard Buster, partly for comparison, mainly because I can't resist sausage gravy. I make my own, and it's awesome, so almost nothing lives up to it (except the dear departed Double Comfort's sausage/ham/bacon gravy.) This was better than I remember Tee Jayes' being, better than Bob Evans'. Not amazing but pretty good. Over two too-heavy biscuits, with two not cooked as ordered eggs and great hash browns. (I order eggs over medium because I like them that way, and as a test of skill and attention for the staff; I'll eat 'em whichever way but I like to see what they do.) Bonus for offering two hot sauces without me asking (Red Hot and Tabasco.) It was plenty of food, and pretty good. Not great, but darn good, and I left full and having enjoyed the flavors. Price was very reasonable. I'll come back sometime; I heard they have mush, which has pretty well disappeared, even from Bob Evans and some groceries. read more

Completely satisfied but not stuffed. They also have a "half bar" with beer and limited liquors but enough to enjoy a boozy brunch. I visit this Tee Jaye's frequently and the staff and food is always top notch. On one occasion there was a man who caused a scene due to a regular bringing in his pup. This location far exceeded my expectations and the staff is very friendly I got a chance to meet the manager she was very Hands-On came to the table served the table asked how your food was. My server her name was Candy she had the cutest little pigtails in her hair and of course being that it was on a Saturday all front staff had on a Buckeye attire... let's get down to the food. TJ's food never disappoints I'm sorry to hear that the Reynoldsburg location is closed. I I got the hen house special and my guest had Belgian waffle, hen house, grits, eggs over easy. All the food is very good it tastes wholesome and of course their famous gravy and biscuits is a HIT. Will return and I was told I should try the pineapple upside down French toast. read more

This morning I had just started my breakfast when a guy with a dog--his pet, not a service dog--walked in. I objected, and he made it clear he didn't care and wasn't going to leave. That's when I asked for the waitress--the only front worker there at 7:30 am on a Saturday--to come over. She just stood behind the counter and said, "Miss So-And-So" (I presume the manager) "said it was OK". My wife and I just stood up and left. I made it clear, I don't eat inside restaurants where dogs are free to wander. So from now on, it's Jenny's Diner or bust. Visited Tee Jaye's for Sunday brunch, and I was happily impressed! I had never thought of going until it moved to this location, and I am glad I came out. To start, I want to give a big shoutout to our server Felicia, who was one of the best servers I've had in awhile. I ordered a Dr. Pepper and she let me know that when she tasted it earlier it was flat and did not have the 27 flavors I was looking for. She brought me a sample of it to see if I wanted it (she was correct, I went with a root beer). For any other pop lovers, you know how disappointing it is to get a flat/syrupy drink with your meal and Felicia made sure I avoided that tragedy. You can tell she really cares about her customers' experience! Now for the food-- We ordered the veggie scramble, sweet cream pancakes, and the hot chicken and cheesey grits. The sweet cream pancakes were some of the best I've had and the hot chicken and cheesey grits looked and tasted delicious (we LOVE Frank's Red Hot). The veggie scramble left something to be desired, as I probably could have cooked it at home, so it wouldn't be my first recommendation. However, the overall experience was so good I'm still giving 5 starts. Also they serve a pretty decent array of cocktails/beers/etc for a breakfast place! They have the same comfy booths and tables we all enjoyed at Bareburger, but brightened up the place with new, modern light fixtures, and breakfast murals. The garage doors let in tons of light, and the space feels bright and cheery overall. I think they hit the nail on the head in this location and will be bringing in a whole new crowd of younger breakfast lovers who enjoy a more modern look at an amazing price (not sure you'll find prices like this at the competing breakfast places in Clintonville). read more

It was horrible! Service and food! There are so many good places to eat around Clintonville we were so upset that we actually spent money here. We were really hoping we would love this since they have a bar and it's close to home, but so disappointed. Server Dorothy was fabulous, as were the other staff. Non stop coffee refills, super nice to all of the guests. Considering how close it is to me, I can't believe it's taken me so long to get to Tee Jayes. Though, I went to the old place and wasn't ever impressed. The new location is a big improvement because it's bright, clean and charming. I enjoyed that there is a cocktail menu, so I got a Bloody Mary which was decent. A pretty big menu for breakfast and lunch, surprised by how big it is considering they close at 3. I got the veggie scramble which was pretty good. My friend got an omelet, in which he changed a few items and replaced them with other things, and then was upcharged quite a bit for all of them, so be warned. Overall, I would definitely come back. Wish they were open later in the day for a happy hour or dinner option, maybe one day. read more

My husband and I walked in to be seated. I requested a table in the back corner that had a booth because I'm pregnant and the chairs are that comfortable. It sounded like she said it was for whites only so confused I asked again and she said it was for 5 people only. So we took the seat I walked to the restroom came back and there was a single white man sitting in the seat I requested upon entering. We still decided to stay o didn't make a big deal out of it. The waitress came back took our order and then asked would you like any hot sauce or ketchup for your order and I said ketchup for my hash browns and she still brought out hot sauce. Had breakfast brought to me by Uber Eats. No problem with the delivery or the driver but the food was horrendous. First off ,on the Barnyard Buster, I ordered extra gravy, and they didn't even put enough on for a regular order. Two small scoops if that. The eggs, which I ordered over easy were still half runny as if they got cooked for 20 seconds. The fries were well under done as well. and I ordered white toast, might have been in the toaster for 10 seconds because it was still pretty much bread. On top of that, my girlfriend ordered French toast, and it was barely cooked as well. Probably softer than my toast was. Very disappointing. I've had TJ's Ube'd to me before and it was perfectly fine, and have eaten there many times and always a good experience. But this time, it seemed as if they went out of their way to make this the worst breakfast ever. read more

This place was an awesome surprise! My mom suggested brunch here before going to COSI on a Saturday. People waiting in line were all very pleasant to squeeze into the doorway on that very chilly morning and must have known the substantial wait would be worth it! This is a terrific restaurant! They have an extensive menu. Note that they do not serve dinner, just breakfast and lunch. I think it is unfortunate that someone posted a pic of one of the waitresses and insulted her. She is actually my favorite waitress. Definitely a great update from other Tee Jay's. New chef. Updated design n menu. Lovin it. Still have some of the famous previous menu items with new modern menu items as well. Hopefully in the future they will be able to extend their hours into dinner times. Glad they are back. AWESOME. read more
