This is an old school deli... Driven by hundreds of times but never stopped so today we fixed that. This is a serious old school delicious but it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The prices are great, and the food is really good. I had the Smiths sub with 2 sides and a cookie. The sub was good, the sides were homemade ( potatoe salad and pasta salad) and the cookies was delicious. Wifie had a salad which she really enjoyed. Some folks won't like the interior decor because it is dated but the food and service make that a mute point. I wished we had visited earlier because there is more depth to their menu to explore.

I called in a to-go order and the person on the phone and at the counter when I picked up the order was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The place is a little bit of a dive on the inside, but I am true believer that Dives server the best food, but it was clean. It also SMELLED AMAZING inside. Smelled like fresh bread! The croissant is very fluffy and the chicken salad is very tasty. The potato salad is amazing and the pickle is phenomenal. The portions are great for the price! I'd totally stop by again and I'd recommend it to all of you to add to your lists!

Writing from my Grandson's phone! Today was Grandparents day and we were looking for the perfect nostalgic spot after baseball practice. We sauntered in on a lovely Fall evening - we had the sense this place had been around for a while. There was a friendly atmosphere, and the place was bustling with locals. We said hello to the kind couple next to us who recommended the veggie lasagna. We walked up front to order, and decided on the lasagne and a BLT. The BLT was pretty standard, but the lasagna was truly special. The warmth and flavor of the cascade of tomato sauce was akin to a hundred hugs from our little Sonny bear! Highly recommend that dish Will be returning on a cold winter's night for a cozy meal! 6.8/10

What a cUUUUuUuUUUuUuUuuuuute littel deli! I placed a phone order for pickup here on a whim. My fiance wasn't feeling well and wanted some food brought home after work. Not knowing the area I did a quick Yelp search and VOILA! Prices were super fair and the establishment wasn't too far away from my way home, so I went ahead and gave them a call. The outside isn't anything special looking, kinda drab but not unkept. I was SUPER impressed once I walked in. The place is bigger on the inside that it looks from the outside, looks well organized and clean! I also LOVE the wall murals! SOooOoOoOo cute! It looks like a traditional NY family style deli on the inside! SO cute! I ordered a ruben sandwich and two sides of macaroni salad. Fiance devoured the sandwich so I assume it was a hit. :P The macaroni salad was SO affordable I couldn't pass it up! Could have used a bit more mayo but not a biggie. I added some and it was right to my preference! Wasn't busy at all on the inside, did have a few ppl stopping in to pick up, like myself. The wait wasn't long once I arrived and then I was onnn my wayyyy! DEFFFFFFFFFFinitely will be ordering from here again! :P

Classic deli. It has the basic favorites. Smith's Deli has been here for years. Get sandwiches of many kinds. They have some healthier options. Has the basics. It has a large menu of subs. These come loaded with many toppings. It has many of the Italian favorites. There's stuff like the ham and cheese and the pastrami. Also has a few without meat. The last time here I got lunch and it was fast and friendly service. I ordered a Vegetable Sub to go. It's about $6 for a footlong and side. This comes loaded with banana peppers, black olives, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. Chips come as your choice. There's also other things here like salads. It has a tight parking lot. Pretty hard to get out. This is the only annoying thing about visiting.

A professor told me about this deli a little over a year ago but I was able to try this place out for lunch with a few friends recently. It was a Wednesday around 2:30 and there were two others finishing up their lunch. As we sat, two other groups came in to eat as well. They've got a small parking lot which was nice, but it's hard to back out and turn left out onto the street since it's located off of a busy road. I had to get the Reuben. Yummy! It was toasted perfectly and you could tell they made the 1000 island sauce themselves. I added chips since they don't come with it as a side. The chips are a generous amount in the bag! It's a little more than your personal-sized snack bag, so I shared it with my friends. One of my friends got the tuna sandwich. She enjoyed the freshness of it. My two other friends ordered the same thing. They both got the Stromboli. It was huge and came with a big 'ol bowl of marinara. One of the selling points to this place is that a lot of stuff is made in house and you can tell. Wow! That's talent! They sell cookies as well but they had ran out of the chocolate chip. I'll have to try it next time. Others ordered the subs and pasta. Their menu is interesting because it's a mix of Italian food and sandwiches. They've also got pizza. Can't wait to return!

No frills old school clintonville spot. The Italian sub was very good. I'd go back and maybe try the Reuben or something next time.

We…read morespent over $80 on a to-go order that included two Gina's Gem, a big cheese pizza, and a salad. The pizza arrived cold but was still edible. Unfortunately, the Gina's Gem was nothing like what was advertised. I was expecting warm, crusty bread with a roasted cheese dip on the side so you could tear pieces of bread and dip them into the cheese. Instead, the cheese had already been spread directly onto the bread and toasted together. Because of that, the bread lost the texture you would expect--it wasn't crusty or dippable at all. It ended up soft, almost soggy, and the cheese was baked onto the bread rather than being a dip. The whole appeal of the dish was supposed to be the warm bread with the roasted cheese to dip into, and that part was completely missing. Included with the bread was a hot honey that missed the mark on being "hot" and some kind of jam. These options just made everything even more soft....which should have been impossible. The salad was actually the best part of the meal - even though it was a bit spicy. I've always had good experiences here in the past, so this was a big letdown--especially for the price. I just wish the to-go version of the dish matched how it's described, or that expectations were set correctly when ordering. Unfortunately, this experience made me lose all trust in ordering from here again. I can't believe we waited until exactly 3pm (when they opened) to order this.... At the very least the pizza should have been hot.

Both pizzas left us speechless as well, I really don't think you can go wrong with whatever you order. Service was great, food was prepared quickly, and there is plenty of seating and a bar area. Can't wait to be back!

The sandwich was honestly the highlight of the meal. It was delicious, and the pizza dough as the bread was such a unique touch that you really don't find at many Italian sandwich spots around Columbus. The pizza itself was just okay. As you can see from the picture, the toppings weren't distributed very evenly, so some slices had mostly sauce with barely any cheese while others had way more toppings and cheese but less sauce. I also wish the pizza had been cooked a little longer overall because it was pretty floppy and doughy. One thing that makes it tough is that once the movie starts, it's hard to go back and ask for changes or anything since the theater is packed and getting in and out of the seats feels disruptive. We'll definitely be back to Grandview Theater because we love the experience overall, but next time I'll probably stick to the sandwiches and popcorn and skip the pizza.

The kind of spot where you expect a solid beer and maybe some decent bar food. What you don't expect? One of the best Detroit-style pizzas of your life hiding behind a window in the back like some carb-based speakeasy. And when I say hidden, I mean hidden. No flashy signage. No "best pizza in town" ego. Just a quiet little window cranking out square pies that deserve a standing ovation. I ordered the classic red top -- already a bold move -- and added pesto because balance matters and I like to live a little. The result? Beyond reproach. Fresh, loaded toppings. Sauce with depth. And that crust... that beautiful Detroit crust. Crispy edges with that caramelized cheese halo, but still chewy and pillowy inside. The textural contrast is what separates amateurs from legends -- and this? This was legend-level execution. Easily top 3 Detroit-style pizzas I've had. And that's not a casual statement. If you don't understand the life-altering power of true Detroit-style pizza, I regret to inform you... you have not been living. Go find the window in the back. Trust me.
