The quality has really gone down over the last year. Even worse within the last two weeks where food is coming out cold or hard as a rock. Got the Italian Stallion and had to tear off pieces of the bread that were just rock hard. Then my spouse got the gyro and the pita wasn't warmed at all and was just snapped in half. The next time we were in my spouse got the notorious bbq and the porq was mostly cold. We always try to get items without the cheese sauce because it is not good and is very sticky. They also put on so much it is overwhelming. The new staff don't seem very friendly. The other day when I was in, it was just my spouse and I but in the kitchen you hear the workers loudly complaining about an online order that had multiple items on the side instead of on the item and were talking about how awful they were and how they wish the owner would just charge people for doing that so they stop??? They also post photos that look good such as the garlic parm wings but they literally look nothing like what is advertised. The garlic parm wings are just their wings dipped in their garlic butter. Not good at all. I would say they do the cake the best but their portion sizes had been getting smaller and smaller. Even the cake in a cup is sometimes half full. Trying a local vegan restaurant turned out to be a great 60 minute round trip! Upon the recommendation of a co-worker we brought our niece and her husband to try Seitan's Realm. I am vegan and am always looking for options. Seitan's Realm did not disappoint! Love the decor and the play on Seitan. So much to look at we forgot we were supposed to order! Speaking of ordering, this is a deli, order-at-the-counter-and-take-a-number place, there is no waitstaff but there is plenty of seating inside. They have appetizers, breakfast, sandwiches, sides and dessert too. I ordered the "Anarchy", our niece ordered the Reuben, her husband order the "Italian Stallion", my husband ordered "The Boss" and we all shared some curly fries and potato salad. The food is reasonably priced and the service was very good. We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and there were no other guests although several others arrived while we were there. I think the food was very good. My Anarchy bun did come a bit soggy but the seitan was awesome and the flavors delish. I tried the Reuben and it was tremendous, probably one of the best vegan versions I have had (and they are countless!). The potato salad was unique and flavorful with a hint of sweetness that I really liked but also a nice savory dill flavor. The curly fries were mediocre and the only thing I would say was a bit disappointing compared to everything else. 5 stars for you, Seitan's Realm. I'll admit I'm a little snobby when it comes to vegan comfort food. It's easy to make okay, but incredibly hard to make excellent. You're doing it. Upon arriving I was overwhelmed (pleasantly) by the extensive menu featuring multiple appetizers, classic sandwiches, burgers, and chicken offerings. Luckily the very kind, patient person manning the register was able to guide me in the right direction, sharing their favorites in each category. I wanted the Rick Reuben, however they had just run out of corned beeef so opted for the Cheezestake instead, and this was definitely NOT a sloppy second. OMG. This sandwich. HEAVENLY. GLORIOUS. THE OPPOSITE OF HELL (sorry, seitan). The roll is the perfect marriage of softness with a bit of crispy on the edges. The beeef is SO good, especially when combined with the caramelized onions and garlic mushrooms. I have no idea what's in the cheeze sauce and chipotle aioli but I'm pretty sure magic is one of the ingredients. The crisp lettuce was the perfect balance for the strong, savory flavors. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality, portion size, and location. The space is whimsically decorated, consistent with the name, but never fear, the food will fortify you with all the necessary strength to prevail against any nefarious situations that may arise. Im not vegan, but this is one of the best vegan food I've had in Columbus! It's been on my list for a while since it opened but I don't usually go out of my way to eat vegan. I found parallel parking on the side street while my friend found parking a few yards from the front of the building. They have parking at the back, but the back lot looked like you needed a permit to park there. You order at the counter then sit down. Not a ton of tables. They were busy! We found a table, but at one point every table was filled and anyone coming in seemed to do take out. Tons of take out orders here too. Very popular place! I got the Anarchy burger with a side of curly fries while my friend got the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of curly fries. It's a LOT of food. I found it hard to finish the burger. It had 2 patties in it. Can't wait to try other things! The other sandwiches look good. And for the price, it's reasonable for what you're getting. Great customer service here too! Upon entering this restaurant, I was intrigued by the restaurant being a horror themed vegan deli. After looking at the various horror posters on the walls and listening to catchy music playing in the background, we looked at the menu board. Once we reached the cash register, we looked at the handheld menus inside the restaurant which their menu items and lists allergens such as almonds, soy, and wheat. I decided to order pepperoni rolls served with garlic and marinara dipping sauce, a Daddy's Thicc & Meaty sandwich along with a Cheezestake sandwich and macaroni salad to go. After hubby notified the employee of his nut allergy , she and other restaurant staff were thoughtful in making sure that he would not be exposed to any food containing nuts. For those visiting with nut allergies, their cheeses, cheese sauce and ranch contains nuts (almonds.) Hubby ordered the Rick Reuben sandwich and curly fries but the employee who took our order came out and informed us that the bread used for the Reuben sandwich could possibly contain walnuts. After bring told of possible walnuts in the Reuben bread, he was given the option to order a different sandwich or have the Reuben made but use different bread. Hubby chooses to have the Reuben sandwich made either different bread. Our food arrives quickly and was delicious. The sandwiches were well seasoned. We appreciated the restaurant employee stopping by our table to ask whether or not we enjoyed our food. I visited with some vegan friends despite being a huge meat eater myself, and it wasn't too bad! I got the dude ranch burger, fries, and a soft serve all for about 25$ which isn't terrible for columbus but definitely on the pricier side for a lunch. The fries are great though I would've liked if it came with the burger. The burger patty is sort of like a fried tofu, but the fake bacon could've fooled me pretty well. The menu is quite extensive and even when we were asking for guidance we did not get it. It is counter service so I was not expecting the same level as a sit down place, but it seemed like they did not care while we were there. I think if the service has steered us and spoke up it would have been so much better. The food is good, but pretty similar. We went and the person taking our orders failed to mention that we were basically ordering the same thing and did not clarify that we had indeed ordered three sandwiches instead of two even though there were two of us. The mozz sticks were really good and would totally get them in the future. The cheese was melty and it really hit the craving. We got two of the roast beefs since again, we were told they were out of one, but clearly had it. I had the gyro and it was okay, the meat was the same as their roast beef option so really wish the person taking our orders would have given us better guidance when we were asking and steered us to try other things that also sounded good. I also wish they had something other than just fast food type of food. We also got a donut and it was just meh. Overall, the decor was cool. It was haunted theme and they have a cool graphic artist who designed their food into horror movie type of posters on the wall. It was empty on our side of the place, but them putting the chairs up was a little offputting as well. Seitan's Realm has ended up being a favorite around here! The menu has great variety, with a large selection of sandwiches to pair with a variety of sides. Selections we've enjoyed so far include the Anarchy Burger, which was every bit as messy as it was delicious. The burger used it not as "beefy" as something like an Impossible burger, but had great flavor and texture. The Fried Fysh Sandwich was super delicious; it's been a bummer that we haven't seen it on the menu lately. The Chikun Parm is another tasty choice. The curly fries are crispy and excellent too. Service was good and efficient and ordering online was easy and convenient. We've had success street parking on Oakland Park. Come here if your looking for fast casual apps, sandwiches, salads and sides. Even if you're not a vegetarian. The cheezestake sandwhich is my fav and it's HUGE. Filled mostly with fake beef , fake cheese & real mushrooms. The sauce is yummy. It can be 2 meals for someone. The onion rings are good when they first come out the fryer and not reheated. Finally, the peanut butter pie is worth the splurge. On saturdays they offer breakfast items until 12:00pm. They do have small indoor seating. But when the door opens in cold weather.....Burr it's cold inside. Busy take out business as well. The service here is friendly and helpful. Some of the best vegan food in Columbus. A great variety, and they just started soft serve! Sunday morning you can do brunch and lunch which is fantastic! Saturday, they have a nice spread of donuts. Did I mention it's all vegan? Even when the place is packed, the service is really good. They just grew the dining area into a space next door, so you can choose the main dining area (which gets a little noisy when it's busy) or the alternate dining room, which I imagine has 50% less bustle. They have a soda machine that makes fancy soda, and they always seem to be changing up the menu with random fun items. I love the ambiance - with (safe for eating) horror posters, masks, and other props, plus posters of actors and actresses. Lots of things to look at and talk about while you wait for your meal to be delivered to your table. The music seems to change each time I go in, too, which keeps things fresh. I'm often running Shazam once or twice each visit to figure out the name of the song and band playing. Oh. And even if you don't do donuts, they have an exceptional cold dessert case, that also has refrigerated take home stuff like mac and cheese or whatever. Don't be afraid of the name "Seitan's Realm." It's a super good restaurant that just happens to be vegan. I feel this is one of those 100% vegan places that if you took your non-veggie friends to, they'd be impressed. The best vegan comfort food in Ohio! So many great menu options. I love the buffalo chickun, the beeef and cheeduh, and the Philly. Delicious dessert options and a variety of deli sides, including mac salad. The staff is friendly and the service is quick and efficient. If you want to eat something vegan, then this may be the place to go. It has a dark serial killer movie theme and if a cannibalistic murder came here, she would be in sicko heaven with eating patrons and employees who have less gristle and fat in their blood. First things first... parking! It's in an odd tiny block and if you're lucky, you'll find a spot right out front. Make sure you practice your parallel parking before you go. There is parking in the rear, but it may be more off to the side in a tiny lot that says "Reserved Parking". It doesn't say "Reserverd for Seitanists" or anything like that, so check with them to make sure you're parking in the right place. I saw they have a Gyro, and unlike what Tina Turner sang once "We don't need another Gyro", we actually do. The "meat" on this one was actually flavorful. The pita was fresh and the toppings and tzatziki were also pretty good. For a side, I had the Baked Potato Salad which was cold potatoes with a mayo based creamy sauce and green onions and other flavors of a baked potato. This could have used a bacon element and maybe I'll bring those pink McCormick Bacony Bits with me next time (those are also vegan friendly) The woman at the counter recommended the Beef and Cheddar (was a take on Arby's) or the Cheese Steak and on a future visit, these will be on my list. Also 10 Stars for having Coke products. Even though I try and eat vegan food, that doesn't mean I want Celery Soda or some other BS Wholesome Pop or beverage to go with my meal. Take note other Vegan places! The decor is filled with the likeness of Michael Myers (Halloween), Freddy Krueger and the Scream killer along with some parody album covers. (They are now open during the day, contrary to the Yelp info.) It's a small space, but there is room for a few tables. Lots of sandwich options, and a bowl or two. Lots of sides, and breakfast at certain times. I got the Anarchy burger, and broccoli salad and mac & cheese to go. It's pretty expensive- appetizers are $10-$15. And look online- the menu over the counter is in tiny print, with so many items on there. But it is worth a stop. The Anarchy burger is messy, as you might expect. That's not a complaint, just know that you're going to need a lot of napkins. It was a very very good burger. Good bun, fresh veggies, tasty sauce, two grilled burgers that sure, you can still kind of tell are veggie patties, but if I hadn't known, I might not have guessed. It all combined into a flavorful whole. It's served in a little fast food box. I really enjoyed it. The sides are good: perfect broccoli salad, very good mac. Looking forward to trying some other things on their menu. Service was great. Friendly, helpful, pretty quick. Restrooms are down some steep steps, so be careful. The server at the counter was beyond sweet, they welcomed us in as soon as we were in the door, and made sure we understood the ordering process. If you're equating vegan with clean health food, you'll wanna adjust your expectations before coming here. The Buffy Mac sandwich was insane. I have never had a sandwich both so ooey, and gooey. Prepare to use many napkins. But woooof, good. The macaroni salad was honestly the winner for me. Not usually a big cold pasta gal, but that was real good. The prices, especially considering the portions, ESPECIALLY considering being vegan food, we're very fair! Honestly the portions were a little excessive to me, I couldn't come close to finishing both my sandwich and fries, which was a little sad since they didn't really translate well to bringing home as leftovers. We've been wanting to try this place and decided to finally visit after recently going vegan / plant based. They have so many options and serve breakfast on the weekends, which is a huge plus for me! They don't have a ton of drink options, but there is a pure cane soda machine and some beer / water. I was really missing coffee with my Apple fritter. My wife ended up getting the mcfibble and was weirded out by the texture, but it's probably because it's something we are not used to yet! I love how they take everyone's favorite meals and make them vegan. She did demolish the pancakes and said they were the best she's ever had! We will keep working on adjusting to vegan meat substitutes lol The staff are friendly and welcoming. They explain everything to you! The ambiance is everything in this little cafe. Everything is based on horror movies (Scream, Halloween, Beetle Juice, etc). There are 6 booths that are comfy. We happened to visit on a day where there was a farmers market across the street, so parking was pretty crazy. Although we cannot remember the date of our last visit, we do remember a granddaughter joining us. All of us enjoyed our visit. Our granddaughter's was her initial visit and she has asked for us to take her again, soon, We never leave without taking a slice of chocolate cake home. Sometimes my spouse shares with me, sometimes, I decline because she enjoys it so much. She is lactose intolerant, I am Vegetarian and our granddaughter is Vegan, so the "Realm" is a perfect choice. I've been a fan since their food truck days and I continue to be a regular at Seitan's Realm. The people are great and the food is delicious. A couple favorites are The Boss, a beaf sammy with bacun, cheeze and jalapeños; and El Hefe, the incredible breakfast burrito stuffed with homemade tofu scramble and other good things, only available on weekends. Most weeks there is a Special available and these are always, well, special. In the colder months keep your eye out for the Chili (pro tip: mix it with their Mac & cheeze), and the open faced roast beaf on Texas toast. Cool horror film posters decorate a clean dining room. An expansion into the next unit is coming soon and will add more space for dining and events. And if you haven't been to Seitan's Realm in a while, you might not know that they now offer craft beer to enjoy with your meal. You can't go wrong by visiting. read more

Happily surprised with the quality of food at this establishment. Fully vegan menu. Portion size was really great so one sandwich can be shared between two people. I didn't think I liked Rubens, but this location makes me think I really do. All the sauces are homemade and the quality is amazing of each and every ingredient. Nice place to sit and eat great food. The absolute best food we had in our 4 days in Columbus. In fact, this would be the best food where we are from (Long Island/Brooklyn/Manhattan). My one complaint is that they are closed on Sundays! We went on Saturday and loved it so much that we wanted to go back and spend $200 and gorge ourselves silly. We took the recommendations from the woman behind the counter - loaded curly fries, Buffy Mac sandwich, and Philly cheesesteak. When we saw the table next to us get the broccoli cheddar soup, we went up and added that, too. All so good. Worth flying back to Columbus for. Being a Vegan for nearly 7yrs it never ceases to amaze me the perfection these Vegan alchemists/chefs create using plant based foods. Stopped into Seitans Realm upon many recommendations for Vegan bites in Columbus. This place could have easily been a 5 star upon taste -please read further. I took the employees recommendation on what to eat went with the Buffy Mac sandwich (buff chickn, ranch sand topped with Mac and cheez) and got a side of vinegar cole slaw. It arrived and looked super delicious. Only one problem it was cold. I tasted the Mac and cheese served on the sandwich and it was ice cold. As a service industry employee , I merely asked for it to be microwaved for 30 seconds or so as it's not a huge deal. The response I got was "I don't think we have a microwave" they gave me a new cup of Mac instead. I had to pick the ice cold Mac off the sandwich and the buff chickn was luke warm at best. The employee never once asked how was the food or was my issue rectified at any point in time. Truly disappointed after arriving after a long ride to have to take the food to go to warm up at my Airbnb. Once heated up it was delicious. Finally got to try out this place after hearing great things for a year. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches, burgers, appetizers, and sides. The staff were kind and prompt and the inside was very clean. Street parking was readily available. I ordered Jess' Mess- a bowl of homemade mac n cheeze topped with buffalo chikun strips, ranch, & green onions. It was a lot of food and I ended up taking some home. It was delicious and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the chikun strips. My friend ordered fries and the gyro which were equally amazing. They have a variety of waters, soda, and kombucha available to order as well. Their store also features many desserts which I have heard are also delightful.
