This was my first time here and it definitely surprised me in a good way. The atmosphere was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, and the service was amazing. When I first looked at the menu it felt a little overwhelming, but they have a lot of options and it's great that they cater to people who are gluten-free or vegan. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich with pita chips and hummus and it was a 10/10 -- I absolutely loved it. My sister got the harvest salad and said it was good but nothing particularly special. My brother-in-law ordered the French toast and said the flavor was good (maybe a little too sweet), but it was very dense and heavy for him. read more

Another recent restaurant week stop, SŌW Plated was a treat! I love the vibes and aesthetics in here, it's so green, calming & inviting! This is an ideal place for a girls night out, dinner with friends, or perfect date night! The service was very friendly & had excellent recommendations! I'm in love with the Pad Thai, it has an awesome flavor & the portion is HUGE! Both the salmon & chicken were great additions, but this is also fire by itself!! The cauliflower had the perfect sweet & spice ratio, and the bites of sweet potato in it is so good! I made it to Sow Plated, and this place really impressed me. Started off with the Sweet potato Biscuits these were so good and served with a side of apple butter. I could possibly just go here for these, and could have ate like 3 more, but I knew there was much more food to try. First off course was the short rib hash served over Yukon gold potatoes, caramelized onions and peppers with a sunny side egg. also don't forget the drizzle of cashew romesco sauce. This was over the top goodie came together with such a great taste. Then it was on to the Shakshouks this was also served atop Yukon golden potatoes with roasted squash, roasted red peppers and a spicy tomato sauce and baked egg. The restaurant is beautiful. There are plenty of parking in the public lot. We were able to get in without any wait or problems. There are plenty of seating inside. We went for brunch and they offered coffees, juices, and alcoholic drinks. We got the egg sandwich, chicken caprese sandwich, and cilantro jalapeño hummus. The egg sandwich was really sticky with the honey and made it really sweet. I wasn't the biggest fan of the honey on it - maybe a hot honey would've been better. It was just too sticky. I got it with a side of fresh fruit which I appreciated the big bowl of fruit and the quality of the fruit was good. The hummus was very good and the pita came out warm. Can't beat the atmosphere, service, and food! Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday 10-3. As someone who is GF + DF, I love that I have a ton of options to choose from. The pressed juices are a great option to start. The Green House is celery forward, with a ginger aftertaste. Highly recommend the Yuzu Lemongrass Tonic if you like ginger. Health conscious restaurant that does have a lot of nuts on the menu, however take allergies extremely seriously and take care of every customer in the restaurant. Very helpful servers who were able to talk through the menu, and detail some of their favorites. Autumn flatbread had a light kick from either the honey or oil on it but was extremely balanced. Whitefish special had an amazing sauce that would be great on everything. The chicken in the sandwich had a great char flavor on it, and worked very well with the balsamic glaze. read more

Went to Sow plated for a business dinner and reserved their private dining space. The reservation process for the room was very easy and efficient, with a very reasonable minimum spend amount for the room! 25% deposit was required to book, which they removed from the final bill at the end. Service for the room was great! The one thing I'd comment on is that the room was a little loud from the main dining room, but we managed without any major issues. Appetizers were the winter flatbread, Brussels sprouts, and maple glazed cauliflower. Each of these dishes were excellent. My main course was the pad Thai, which I had heard great things about but was left wanting more from it. Mostly, it was a little too salty for me. The same with the tomato and roasted red pepper soup. The soup needed bread to balance it out. Dessert was yuzu pie which I took to go, this was delicious as well. I would go back to sow plated, but there wasn't anything from the dinner that left me going wow or desperately wanting to come back asap. read more

The place is huge, clean, and welcoming. The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The parking is not a problem as it is in a shopping strip. Everything I had was flavorful (except for the fish, it was a bit bland) and fresh. I wish the price was a bit lower OR the portion was a bit bigger but other than that, no complaints! Stopped in on a Friday evening for happy hour. They've got a great deal going - $5 house wines, $6 cocktails and $7 select appetizers. I got a glass of the house white and it was a pretty generous pour. Also went with the Wagyu steak tacos - tasty but definitely only $7 worth of tacos not super filling. The space is gorgeous but I will say the vibe is a little pretentious considering it's in UA. We sat at the bar which it was nice enough out so they had the patio open as well. I picked the side salad for my side & didn't end up finishing it because there was too much vinaigrette for my liking (so next time I would get the dressing on the side). I was looking forward to trying the sweet potato biscuits but unfortunately they ran out. My friends ordered the pesto pasta (vegan) and the vegan burger. They seemed to enjoy their food as well. I like that the menu has options for varying diets (gluten free / vegan/ vegetarian) and of course plenty of meat options. The chicken kale sliders looked delish as well. My egg sandwich was filling and was $12.00. I was really looking forward to this place after a long day of travel from the West Coast. The decor and ambiance was absolutely on point. I was so impressed with all of the details. Our server was just wonderful. He was sweet, helpful, and present with us. I chose to give the Pad Thai a go and was really excited about it. Unfortunately, it was too spicy for me to handle. I had multiple bites really wishing I could but it was so spicy, it was making me sweat. I typically do okay with some spice so I thought I'd mention this in case you're considering this plate. Make sure fire-spicy is your jam. My daughter's meal had a beautiful piece of salmon but the edamame she ordered tasted a bit dry/lackluster. Lastly, my partner tried the steak sandwich on a GF bun and as soon as he took a bite, the entire bun crumbled. I think GF buns do better slightly toasted, so maybe this could be a consideration moving forward. Even though it was a bit of a fumble for us food-wise, it was a pleasant dining experience and I hope to see this place thrive. read more

I was so disappointed to see Faroe Islands Salmon on the menu as the Faroe Islands are notorious for killing whales and dolphins. I had just heard of another hunt on September 13th that left more than 200 dolphins killed in a cove of red blood. I actually wrote an email to a government official on the island earlier in the day, so eat at a restaurant that markets itself as "Sustainable" Organic, Wellness, i was shocked to see salmon from the Faroe Islands. When I communicated with a partner of the restaurant the next day they were indifferent. I asked that they shift to another local that doesn't killed whales and dolphins. The Faroe Islands are made up of 55,000 people and there is an international boycott of their salmon. The partner of SOW response was ""unless we can find a similar option in first quality and science, then value, the likelihood of a change is almost non-existent." I shared the experience on social media and another person messaged me and said the response they got was "while the cultural practices of the Faroese people might conflict with some people's personal beliefs, our focus is the nutritional quality and supremecy of their salmon, which is our main focus and ideology." I'm just really disappointed that SOW Plated is aware of the hunts that have resulted in hundreds of whales and dolphins being killed, and doesn't see the conflict with their name and what they market to the public. I think the majority of customers would be appalled if they knew the truth and there are certainly excellent substitutes and possibly even closer but that definitely wouldn't support the death of these majestic sea mammals. Part of the motivation of the hunt is to boost the fish stock as the whale and dolphins are high in mercury. We had dinner with friends at the restaurant. The restaurant is nice but that was a total disappointment and I'm just so shocked that they don't see the conflict with the values they are projecting and the responsibility they have with what they serve and educating the public. read more

Sow is such a vibe! Walk into a bright and chill interior with plenty of seating without feeling crowded. The patio is what brunches are made for comprised of traditional dining tables and a lounge area perfect for summer, fall and spring in Ohio. Our server was phenomenal. I believe her name was Emily. She gave really great recommendations and checked in with us on a regular basis. She was polite, and conversational without being overbearing. She explained dishes and checked to make sure all my dietary restrictions were honored. The food was soooo good!! The Maple Sweet Chili Cauliflower was flavorful and the sweet potatoes were a nice touch. The Sustainable Shrimp Tacos were cooked to perfection and had a good spicy and char to them. The Jackfruit Tikka Masala Tacos were out of this world they smoked the quinoa and it added a boldness to them and the texture of the jackfruit was perfect. My daughter and I had lunch here. She recommended it based on a previous visit here. The restaurant is bright , clean and upscale. The menu was extensive and had something for everyone. We got 2 different meals so we could share. The food was excellent and the portions were big. We both took food home for the next day. The seasonings were so tasty, better than I expected. Our wait staff was attentive and friendly. The rest room was clean and well stocked. Parking can be difficult so leave extra time for it. We had a team outing at Sow for lunch where we reserved the private room for 12 people and ordered spreads with pita and veggies ahead of time. The service was excellent, keeping water jugs full on the table and very efficiently taking orders. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals, many ordered the steak sandwiches. I ordered the Wagyu Burger and it was very tasty: the aioli and garlic sauce were great. The pita chips and hummus on the side were also delicious and the chips very crunchy. I met a group of eight retired teacher friends here for lunch. Our server was quick to take our drink orders and she served us water. There was no ice in the water jug or in our glasses. The restaurant did not have black iced tea which was what I wanted to drink so I stayed with the room temperature water. The menu was accessed by scanning a QR code. Our server offered to bring an iPad to the table if you didn't have a phone. Several of my friends would have preferred a paper menu to look at the choices. I ordered the beet salad with a side of chicken. My chicken was perfectly grilled with a nice bit of char on the edges. It was very good. The salad was also tasty but I was hoping for more beets and less lettuce. My friends enjoyed their meals also. The meal was freshly prepared and enjoyable. Gratuity was already added to the bill due to our larger group. I would try this restaurant again if I was in the area. read more

I have always loved this place and I would go to it on a monthly basis for happy hour. However, I went on a Sunday afternoon and decided to sit at the bar since I was there by myself. I waited and waited and finally the gentleman who was cleaning behind the bar noticed that I had been sitting there for quite some time. He told me that someone would be with me soon. He was not a bartender. I'm a lady came over and said that the bartender would be with me soon and brought me some water. The bartender was helping someone at the other end of the bar but then disappeared. I don't think she did it on purpose I just think that there were too many people for her to Help. I'm not quite sure since I was the only one at the bar. I'm guessing that she had a lot of tables to work with as well. Nonetheless, I ended up leaving because I was waiting for a really long time and they only had one of the cold press Drinks available.
