If you're looking for a great brunch spot in Columbus this is it! The food was delicious and our service was great. Clean, modern yet homey, and great music in the background. We came on a weekday around noon. We were greeted & seated right away. S/O to Sydney our server who was kind and patient with us being first time customers. We had some questions and she gave us great insight on the various menu items. Also we had the pleasure of meeting one of the co-owners Scott who gave us great recommendations on what to try. He was personable, attentive, and proud of the food being served (as he should be!). The items we tried were the chicken frittata 10/10, the wings & waffle 10/10 and the shrimp & grits 8/10. The portions are great and honestly sharing is caring. We all had a taste of each other's meals and it was a resounding thumbs up. All three meals were SO good but the frittata and flavor/texture of the waffle really stood out. If you get the wings and waffle get the Southern Heat sauce! You'll thank me later ;) Also don't let previous reviews about price point deter you. You get plenty for what you pay for. The portions are substantial and menu ranges from $12-16 appetizers and entrees between $19-35. Super reasonable and every bite was well worth it. Overall we had a stellar experience at this place and it truly was a pleasure to support a business owned by brothers who you can tell love food! The food was good and the service was attentive and friendly but it was definitely overpriced for what it was. The parking lot is extremely small and the wait area inside is even smaller. There actually isn't any room to even put your name in without having to move for people coming in and out. I got a drunch mimosa, breakfast eggrolls and the fried grits and shrimp. Everything was flavorful and definitely unique. There was not enough shrimp in my opinion, the few that was in the dish got lost in everything else. At the end, the waitress came over and said since we were celebrating a birthday they have two desserts to choose from so we got the funnel cake waffles. They were yummy but i wish she would have made it clear that it was not complimentary so I was shocked when it came out on the bill and was the cost of another meal. This might be the absolute best place to get lunch in Columbus. Been here 4 or 5 times and the food and service has been absolutely incredible every time, and they do a *lot* with their menu. It's a little pricier, but very worth it, and for that experience I would way rather spend that money here when I sit down and eat somewhere, even if it means I might not do it as often. We felt a bit rushed to order and never received extra items we asked for like share plates. We were quoted a 15-20 minute wait for a table but got sat in a little under 15 minutes which was nice. The only option was to remove the eggs entirely and then purchase a side of fried eggs for an extra $6.50. I'd heard plenty of buzz about Drunch from friends and coworkers but had never made the trip myself. This was the perfect excuse to finally check it out. We were greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service from the jump. I decided to take a chance on something different and ordered the Drunch Cajun Pasta. Let me tell you--I'm so glad I did. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Cajun pasta for brunch, but the dish absolutely blew me away. The sauce had that rich, gumbo-like flavor you'd find in New Orleans, laced with file and savory herbs. The andouille sausage, shrimp, and ham were seasoned to perfection and paired beautifully with sautéed veggies over angel hair pasta. Every bite was packed with flavor. The vibe was welcoming, and the co-owner even came over to chat with us, which made the experience feel that much more personal. Two of my friends and I had a terrible experience here. Two of us ordered the fried chicken and biscuits, which included sausage gravy. My friend asked if she could get her gravy on the side, to which our waitress told us was not possible because it ruins the presentation. We thought that was weird, but we accepted it and my friend decided not to order food because that's what she really wanted. I ordered the same thing as is. When I received my food, I noticed that there was only one tender, but the menu said that it came with tenders. I mentioned this to the waitress, who agreed that it should be more than one tender and politely took it back to the kitchen. She returned with my plate as it came out initially and told me that the menu had a typo and it was meant to be served with one tender. I then asked for her to remove it from my check because I wouldn't have chosen that dish if it only had one tender. At this point, we asked if we could speak to the manager. The man that initially greeted us at the host stand came and said that "he could be the manager" when we asked if he was the manager... which was odd. We explained everything that happened and he said that he wasn't going back and forth with us, it was a mistake on the menu not false advertisement, and we were welcome to go to any other number of brunch spot nearby. We weren't rude at all, just simply asked why there was a discrepancy between the menu and the meal served to us, and how asking for something on the side was seen as "a substitution or addition." When we leave, my friend tells him to have the day he deserves, which set him off to the point where he leaves the restaurant and yells at us walking to our cars. He tells us that we were three ignorant ladies that were crying about sausage gravy being on the side. This was all in front of customers trying to be seated and with a waitress trying to get his attention. I've worked in retail myself for years so I make it a point to be respectful to others on the service industry. The waitresses did their best to explain all of these things to us and were very kind through out our visit. This "manager" ruined the experience. He is a serious liability to Drunch and it's really unfortunate that his temper was not seen as alarming to the staff. read more

My friends and I decided to stop by this establishment for brunch today, September 27. While there, we had the worst customer service and dining experience that I have ever had in the city. It started off with me requesting that the gravy be on the side they said no "because of the presentation" so I asked them can you just leave the gravy off completely? And they repeated no because of the presentation we cannot alter that at all so I decided to order nothing. One of my friends did decide to order that particular item and when it came out instead of having multiple chicken tenders, like the menu says it had one single chicken tender. There was cheese sprinkled on top but was cold and not melted at all. When asked about it, the waitress said it should be multiple and took it back to the kitchen. The kitchen sent it right back and said no it only comes with one. My other friend asked to speak to the manager and the man that was seating people came over to our table and when we asked, are you the manager he said I can be what's the issue? When we ask questions about clarity of the menu and our items he became very passive aggressive and then said he's not going to go back-and-forth with us, mind you, we were asking questions for clarity on the menu for dietary restrictions or sensory food avoidance. He not only got snooty and said this must be our first time there (which it was not), but as he was walking away he begins getting loud telling us we should try other restaurants instead. As we were leaving he told us be blessed so I told him to have the day you deserve. He then sticks his head out of the door and yells after us about how ignorant we are and then proceeds to go back-and-forth with us while we are standing there for over two minutes yelling at us. He then told me I was mad over gravy and I should get over it. I told him I was not mad about the gravy. I was upset about the customer service or lack there of he once again cause us ignorant and tells us to get out. Needless to say we will not be going back. The food was bland, not even with salt and pepper, you cannot request something not be included if they want it presented a certain way (their words here not mine),if you are someone who likes things the way that you like them when you were paying for them, this is not the place for you. If you are someone who has any dietary restrictions or any sensory restrictions when it comes to eating, then this is not the place for you. However I wouldnt call anything super creative as I could easily replicate both menu items at home for much, much less. The cons: (warning a small rant is coming) 1) Wow, their prices are high. The prices were the same a few months ago but for some reason I didnt pay attention to how high. Lol. 2) tipping: grrrrr--. they force you to tip 18% regardless if u like your meal or server etc. There is a big sign at the entrance explaining this. I had forgotten they do this. I literally almost left due to this, but my guest wanted to stay. 3) adding more annoyance, Drunch calculates that said tip on the AFTER tax total vs the pre taxed amount. So at Drunch, you are tipping on your food, service AND paying the server 18% of what you were taxed. Paying someone a tip on the extracting tax from you - Hahahaha. Not really funny at all. Not cool to force a tip on tax. Now this server was excellent. Had I come in here and NOT been forced to pay a minimum tip, I would have tipped her 20-25%. And I prefer to do that in cash which Im told servers prefer... I cant imagine why???? Lol. Heck I might of left more. But when "you" the restauranteur do this you are implying its my job to pay your employees, not yours. I have a big issue with that. However, this particular young lady was so good we still handed her a few extra bucks in addition to the forced 18%---, but she would have made a lot more had there not been this mandated tip. Getting a table was easy even though it was a busy day. A table for 2 took roughly 20 min to be seated (we arrived around 10am). Keep in mind shortly after we arrived many parties started to show up and I overheard the wait time had increased to 45-1 hour for anyone after us. Once seated we were promptly greeted and our drink orders were taken. I love all the food options, I had a hard time deciding what to get. We decided on the egg rolls, chicken and waffles, and crab cake Benedict. Our appetizer came out first. Once we bit into the egg rolls we realized that while they seemed done the entire inside was still frozen. It was a huge disappointment for the both of us. My mom has had them before and raved about them but unfortunately I couldn't relate. Due to how busy it was it took a minute to flag our server down. While she was apologetic, and wanted to offer a remedy, food was supposed to come shortly after so I had them removed from the bill. I can say the rest of the food was good and flavorful. I enjoyed the music and the vibe of the restaurant but it is a bit crowded the way they have tables set up. I get all the tables are necessary with the way they have to get people in and out but I felt a bit congested. Not sure when I'll be back in town but willing to try them again.
