We've been to the Graceland location a few times but the last two times have been horrible. Tonight was so bad that we had to walk out after 30 minutes with our order not even taken. They have a waiter who refused to write things down. Well the last two times we've been and had him, we end up getting something wrong with our order. What a shock. Tonight, they were busy, due to the recent storms and power outage. So we naturally gave them some grace. We waited over 30 minutes to have our order taken and for our appetizer. When he dropped off the appetizer, he was about to walk off and still not take our order, but when we informed him that the appetizer was wrong, he sounded surprised. That was the final straw and we had to get up and leave, which is something we've never done before. Sadly, they have great food. They just need to work on their service. read more

My husband and I stopped here before a show at the Ohio Theatre. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Christmas decor was throughout the restaurant. It was dark and cozy, however, rather cold in temperature. They were very good with just the right amount of stringy cheese after each bite. I opted for the single BYO burger. I chose Monterey Jack cheese, grilled onion, and Chipotle mayo. I had to drop things off at the UPS store, which is pretty much a few doors down from Pat and Gracie's... It was lunchtime and I remembered they have an amazing portobello sandwich I'm not kidding. This is probably one of the best portable sandwiches that I've had. I've had dreams of this sandwich. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went in and the restaurant looks pretty much exactly the same as it always has. It's dark has like these red walls and this huge beautiful red chandelier that's made out of glass. Was craving fresh bar food if that makes sense so brought my daughter here for an early dinner. We ordered the pretzel bites with sharp cheddar cheese dipping sauce and the zucchini fries for starters. The bites were pillowy soft and the zucchini fries were homemade and crispy! Entree wise we ordered The Patty Melt with fresh cut fries and Gracie's Chicken Sandwich with kale slaw (both portions split) My daughter said the house made pickles on the Patty Melt were her favorite. I always enjoyed myself when I would go here, and once upon a time I went here on the reg. The food was always insane, and the taps were delicious. When the pandemic really settled in, I felt like the quality really dropped off and I stopped going. However I recently revisited and was greeted with some delicious pub grub and a chill meal in a familiar spot. The hand rolled tater tots are a must when I visit. They were fairly overcooked which was a bummer, but they were still tasty. I decided to go for a burger at this visit and chose the Smokehouse BBQ which was solid. It didn't knock my socks off, but it hit the spot. Historically speaking, the Chimi Burger was my favorite :) I also recommend the Walleye, but I'll have to take Brunch for a refresher spin before I can comment on that. Overall it was a good visit. This was our first time eating at Pat and Gracie's. We came on a Saturday at 1:30pm and were pleasantly surprised that they had brunch options. We enjoyed the best cheese sticks we have ever had! They were HUGE and fried perfectly! We had to order a cinnamon roll to share as well. Also--delicious! I was able to order sausage gravy and biscuits--the entire plate was homemade and the perfect combination of cream, slight spice and savory. Everything is homemade which we truly loved! We had never visited this location and it was much smaller than the downtown space so a reservation was really helpful for our large group. Though it was busy the service was great. Lots of drink options for everyone to choose from and the food is always good. On our visit they ran out of hamburgers so I ordered the melt with impossible meat and honestly it was super delicious. read more

Went back there and the 2nd time was just overall not as good, so I decided to drop it a star. The tots had a totally different texture, and didn't taste as good. The grilled chicken on the salad I ordered was so dry and stringy it was hard to cut with a knife, and the ranch dressing was watery. My hubby's burger and fries weren't as good either. We went to the downtown location before the symphony and sat at the bar. A very warm and welcoming experience . Everyone was so friendly and our food was delicious. I started with a pear ginger martini which was refreshing and not too sweet. We decided to try Pat and Gracies for my birthday dinner. We arrived around 4pm on a Friday evening. There were 2 other couples in here which kind of made us wonder what is going on. Maybe too early so we proceeded on with our date. The service was great but all the hype about their food was not. Our food was WAY overcooked. We had high expectations due to the reviews but were not thrilled with our appetizers or food. The hubs and i had the mozzarella sticks and tots. They were so very hard to bite and cut through. My sisters and I went to see a movie and stopped here for lunch afterwards. We ordered 2 build your own burgers, mac & cheese, 2 P&G side salads (one with garlic parm dressing), bacon onion dip, 2 sides of fresh cut fries, the bbq smokehouse burger, kale coleslaw, and a salmon BLT. The best thing we ordered were the fries. They were cooked nicely and had good flavor. I enjoyed mine with salt and malt vinegar. I did not try the kale coleslaw, but my sister couldn't take more than a few bites because she said it wasn't good. The Mac and cheese ended up being a pile of pasta sitting in water with a ladle of cheese sauce scooped on top. My sister who ordered it is not picky at all, but was super disappointed. The burger patties were laughably small (my sister actually laughed when she saw hers as it left lots of bites with just bun and toppings. All 3 who got burgers said they tasted fine. The bacon onion dip had an artificial, chemically flavor to it. I would not order it again. We had a lot of dip left, so we asked for more pita and they brought some, but charged us $2.50 without disclosing it would be an extra charge. This was for a single, thin flatbread cut into strips and we had already paid $13 for the dip. My sister didn't say much about the salmon BLT, but didn't finish it either. The P&G salad was fine-- the garlic parm dressing was decent, but tasted chemically, the feta was cheap "sawdusty" cubes, and the tomato was tasteless. They boast house made pickles, so I asked to try a small side (pregnancy craving) and the server acted like I really asked for a huge favor, but still brought me 4 hamburger slices. They were enjoyable, but I'm not really convinced they were homemade. Speaking of pickles, we found it pretty disappointing that their fried pickles are bread and butter... After the meal, my sister asked for a to-go cup. The server didnt come back with that or checks for over 10 min and when we looked into the dining room, saw he was standing behind the bar talking to a coworker folding napkins. There were only 2 other tables occupied in the restaurant the whole time we were there, and only one at this time. When he finally came back, I was disappointed to see that he had charged for the extra piece of flatbread and he charged me an extra dollar for my salad. The salad and fries were CLEARLY the same price on the menu as all sides were $4.99, yet I was charged $5.99 for mine. We were on a time crunch, so I just paid it so we could leave. I needed to try something new (to me) that is not a chain. Food - the food is pretty good. Fries were as you expect, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The burger had nice flavor, I would season it up but that is why they gave me salt and pepper . It paired nicely with my Amber Lager (forget the name and not sure it was a lager but was good) Service - I sat at the bar and it was outstanding. They were out of a beer I wanted to try but hopefully will have it next time. Everyone seemed very friendly. Ambiance - Neighborhood bar with plenty of TVs showing various sports. I was amused by one tv showing short videos of people doing funny things. I guess the dirty dancing lift is a thing now but not recommended if you cannot lift your partner and/or not coordinated. Not my first review and I want to add: I STILL LOVE THIS PLACE!! For Columbus, this place is now on my top 3 list of places I recommend. That's right no more top 10 or five for P&G!! This may turn into my errand day place to eat. The food is always outstanding. I always get the fish and chips, my girlfriend always gets the burger. The pretzel bites are awesome and the cheese sticks are always hot and melty. They do offer a decent amount of food with the appetizers and with the entree's so if you plan to order appetizers, bring your A-game appetite and a friend. The service is also always outstanding. For the best option of seating I recommend arriving early for dinner around 4-5pm or lunchtime. There is close parking available early, as well, otherwise the walk may be just further out into the parking lot as this is in the Graceland Shopping Center. There is always decent music and if you sit at the bar a better view of the tv which is usually showing news or sports. I love the servers here. Never had a bad server, ever. Always attentive and will keep your soda, water, tea, and lemonade topped off. Clean restrooms with an interesting photo set to look at if you forgot your phone or just looking around if you aren't staying in there long. When I lived a few blocks down years ago, I wish this place was here. It would been well worth the walk from the Beechwold neighborhood. Their happy hour pricing is also very enticing as well. Portion size is smaller along with the price but if you are ordering an entree (not happy hour priced) with it, you will still get your fill. I highly recommend this place! Visited the downtown location today. We did have a reservation and was seated immediately. Everything after that was a disappointment, beginning with our server who did not acknowledged us for almost 10 minutes. We ordered our food and waited and waited. Our server never came back around to check on us. There were multiple tables around us that were seated after us and got their food. I finally went to find our server who said our food would be out shortly. When we did receive our food, it was cold, even the cinnamon roll icing was hard. We made a comment and our ordered was comped, but that doesn't negate the poor service or lack of communication. John W., Marsha W. and I got together for lunch to give these folks another shot. Our last visit was just so-so but this time, it was much better. I'll keep this short and sweet. As usual, John and Marsha's brought their generosity with them. They ordered the Pretzel Bites with Cheese Dip and an order of some of those wonderful, thick and chewy house-made Mozzarella Sticks for the table. We all got various burgers and all of us were happy with every bite. I got the Impossible Patty Melt ($15.89) with fries and I actually enjoyed it more than the BBQ Impossible Burger I got the last time. Wait time for our meals was only about 15 minutes. Special note: The star of the show was our server, Jeremy. It was just him and the bartender in a packed restaurant but even then, we did not want for anything. The Smokehouse Burger s were cooked perfectly but the carmelized onions were ice cold which just killed the taste of the burger. On to service. Our waiter was Riley and he was off the chart and offered help with anything on the menu. He checked in numerous times to see if everything was okay and doing refills on drinks. Got the chicken fingers. First, the picture shows them served with coleslaw but they don't make coleslaw. After that it only goes downhill. The fries were limp but also overcooked! How they got the so dark brown while still being limp I'll never know. The were so dark I thought they were sweet potato fries at first. On to the over salted and over cooked chicken. It was so over cooked they breading tasted burnt and it was LOADED with salt. 6 herbs and spices? I'll never know as all I could taste was salt. The honey mustard. Almost all mustard and very little honey. Someone needs to learn how ti make a honey mustard sauce. at $18 for such a 'feast' I'll never return! read more

We've been to the downtown location and we were in Clintonville visiting friends, so we decided to drop in for a burger. It was 6 on a lazy Sunday night. I was surprised at the size, it's very small. Great looking bar and backbar. We had to wait a moment for the staff to disinfect our table (which were more close to each other than not). We were thankful for that nice touch. Service was attentive and our server had a nice attitude going. We had a couple burgers. Both good. Tip, on anything with sauce (on the burger or a salad) get it on the side. They drenched both and the sauce became overwhelming. And unnecessary calories. Nice draft beer selections but they've decided on 16oz pours instead of 12. We will return when in the area read more

I didn't realize how small this place is, so if you're going on a Friday night, expect a wait time! Luckily, there were spots open at the bar, so we sat there instead of waiting 20+ minutes. We were greeted at the bar by two women. Both were nice, but one of them really stood out for her friendliness. She gave me advice on what the popular options were on the menu. We started off with the fried bread & butter pickles. I think they came with a ranch dipping sauce. They were good, but they really filled me up! I ordered the Salmon BLT sandwich, which came with a side of fries. The fries were quite good - plain but tasty! The sandwich didn't impress me, sadly. It looked like a basic sandwich with normal bread. It was a tad bit spicy, but nothing overwhelming. I was so thirsty from the saltiness of it though. They didn't have any dessert options. What a bummer! Our waitress forgot our side of Mac & Cheese, but we were so full by the end of our meal anyway. Found this place by accident while looking for a place that could accommodate 7 adults including 2 super seniors on short notice and it turned out to be a great find. All the food is hand made fresh. This little tavern has a neat vintage feel to it and is decorated very well. The best part, the Smokehouse BBQ burger was absolutely fantastic. The smash patties were juicy and topped with flavorful toppings. I also had the hot wings which were covered in a chili powder rub then fried and tossed in a house made hot sauce.
