I got a takeout order. There are a lot of items on the menu that I wanted to try so maybe I will revisit Atlas Tavern and try one of the sandwiches. The wings and fries were good. I was a little bit underwhelmed by the pickle tots. The side salad I got was pretty good too. I will say that when I went in to pick up my food, the place was bustling with energy. It definitely is a great place to grab some food while you're having a few happy hour cocktails with your friends. I was able to get seated right away at a spot at the bar and had great service. They had some black pepper Cajun wings that I had to try and they were some of the best I've ever had. We started with the very warm BF pretzel before moving to the fish sandwich and biggest boneless wings I've ever seen. Try the bourbon BBQ sauce. The side of fries were tasty and plentiful, though not particularly special. The house side salad, however, had an excellent balsamic vinaigrette. I was concerned that the sandwich might be too tangy (like salt and vinegar potato chips are) but no worries there. No particular flavor, just bland and fried. I was also worried that the Old Bay mayo might be too spicy but I wouldn't say it was very different from regular mayo. Also, the sweet and hot pickles were mostly sweet. So a decent sandwich but not tangy, hot or especially delicious. I ended up not eating most of the bun b/c I couldn't open my mouth that wide. Nice salad. I have been waiting to go to this place for so long and finally I had a chance to go and was so disappointed. The service.. I mean what service. It was just terrible! And the food was just mediocre. We were a party of 3 and soon as we entered the music was so loud that we hardly can hear the hostess. The place was pretty empty, with lots of table being empty. However, the hostess indicate that we were able to sit at the bar or outside. We chose to sit outside, since the weather wasn't bad on the day we visited. We waited about 15 minute before our server came to take our orders. After we placed our order, it took about 1/2 hr for the food to come out. The whole time we were there, our server did not come check up on us, not even once to see if we even got the right food or not. We had to track the server down to pay for the meal. We ordered wings (both the boneless and the bone-ins), nachos and the Philly fries. Everything was just average. With so many places around that area, I definitely will not go back there again and definitely do not recommend this place. read more

The vibe of this place is impeccable. We drive over 1.5 hrs to come eat here. There hasn't been a single bad experience at this establishment. Fast friendly service and the drinks were poured very well. Multiple staff members checked on us in a 10-minute period to see if we needed anything else. Nice! Got seated and Devyn came right over. Smiling. Even after a long shift. Drinks were ordered. Got plenty of time for the last person to decide on dinner. Appetizer of veggies with multiple dips was very good. We checked out Atlas Tavern for lunch one day after hearing about how good their wings are. For a weekday, the place was modestly busy, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated quickly in the patio area, where a couple of other tables were finishing their lunch. Our server arrived soon after, and as soon as we informed her that we did not want to order any drinks, she lost any interest in serving us. She disappeared and arrived 15 minutes later to check on the other 2 tables, and once having made eye contact, she came to us as an afterthought. Our "service" (or lack thereof) was this way throughout our meal, and I had to go back into the main dining area to get someone else to find her so she could give us our check and to-go boxes. The food, though, was pretty good, and really the reason why this is not a 1-star review. The wings (both the boneless and the bone-ins) were amazing, and despite this last experience, I may even go back here just for the wings. The nachos were also excellent, particularly paired with the beef chili. We also ordered the pretzels (they were warm and soft) and the Philly fries, which were both good.
