We have a happy hour group that meets every Wednesday. We like to try new places. This is a nice place but they insist on only one check for party if more than 8. I don't understand. I liked most of the dips, but there was a green one I wasn't fond of. I ordered the rib eye french dip sandwich, which was good. It came with a lot of meat and the au jous was flavorful. Great place for a quick bite or drink or even for a family dinner. We got drinks and burgers for my husband's birthday and the server was super kind and was helpful with my daughter's order. Service and food were great! Started out with a pretzel which was great for our group after traveling. Some of the orders included burgers and the "best of all" which was half traditional wings and the other half boneless. Those that ordered that said it was great and a lot of food. Alan and another guy gave me a knowledgeable run down on the ample drafts. Got the Bodega Chopped and boneless wings. Both very good! First thing I noticed when I pulled into the parking lot was the place was packed, which is usually a good sign on a Tuesday night. I was able to get seated right away at a spot at the bar and had great service. They had some black pepper Cajun wings that I had to try and they were some of the best I've ever had. I also selected one of their signature burgers. Now I'm not the typical burger guy, but this was fantastic with great flavor. I would definitely get it again. The service was great. Arrived right after happy hour on a Friday evening. The place was packed but we got seated rather quickly. The staff is quick to service and helps each other out in bringing out drinks as well as food. The place itself has a good amount of tvs and a variety of drinks and cocktails. As for me, I went with a lighter option by choosing the Tavern Chicken salad. I'm used to salads being small by nature, but this salad was pretty big and packed with chicken! You can choose if you want the chicken to have a sauce or dry rub. I chose the Cajun blackened dry rub and I think it went perfectly. It added the slightest touch of spice, but not overpowering. I'd definitely order this again. We were foolish and went on a Saturday night without reservations, but our 35-40 minute wait time only turned out to be like 10 minutes. The food selection is robust so don't think it's a simple tavern menu. All of the huge portions had excellent taste. We started with the very warm BF pretzel before moving to the fish sandwich and biggest boneless wings I've ever seen. Try the bourbon BBQ sauce. The side of fries were tasty and plentiful, though not particularly special. The house side salad, however, had an excellent balsamic vinaigrette. We were a party of 3 and soon as we entered the music was so loud that we hardly can hear the hostess. The place was pretty empty, with lots of table being empty. However, the hostess indicate that we were able to sit at the bar or outside. We chose to sit outside, since the weather wasn't bad on the day we visited. We waited about 15 minute before our server came to take our orders. After we placed our order, it took about 1/2 hr for the food to come out. The whole time we were there, our server did not come check up on us, not even once to see if we even got the right food or not. We had to track the server down to pay for the meal. We ordered wings (both the boneless and the bone-ins), nachos and the Philly fries. Everything was just average. We were seated immediately. decent size dining area and a large bar area, seems like a great place to watch some sports on gameday. The buffalo chicken dip was just like mom used to make. creamy and just the right amount of kick. plenty of melted cheese on top and a good selection of dip carriers and a bonus pretzel. I was concerned that the sandwich might be too tangy (like salt and vinegar potato chips are) but no worries there. No particular flavor, just bland and fried. I was also worried that the Old Bay mayo might be too spicy but I wouldn't say it was very different from regular mayo. Also, the sweet and hot pickles were mostly sweet. So a decent sandwich but not tangy, hot or especially delicious. I ended up not eating most of the bun b/c I couldn't open my mouth that wide. Nice salad. Greeted at the door by a smiling face. Got options for two different outdoor seating areas. Opted for the back patio. While waiting for a table we got drinks at the bar. Fast friendly service and the drinks were poured very well. Multiple staff members checked on us in a 10-minute period to see if we needed anything else. Nice! Got seated and Devyn came right over. Smiling. Even after a long shift. Drinks were ordered. Got plenty of time for the last person to decide on dinner. Appetizer of veggies with multiple dips was very good. We checked out Atlas Tavern for lunch one day after hearing about how good their wings are. For a weekday, the place was modestly busy, and even though we didn't have a reservation, we were seated quickly in the patio area, where a couple of other tables were finishing their lunch. Our server arrived soon after, and as soon as we informed her that we did not want to order any drinks, she lost any interest in serving us. She disappeared and arrived 15 minutes later to check on the other 2 tables, and once having made eye contact, she came to us as an afterthought. Our "service" (or lack thereof) was this way throughout our meal, and I had to go back into the main dining area to get someone else to find her so she could give us our check and to-go boxes. The food, though, was pretty good, and really the reason why this is not a 1-star review. The wings (both the boneless and the bone-ins) were amazing, and despite this last experience, I may even go back here just for the wings. The nachos were also excellent, particularly paired with the beef chili. We also ordered the pretzels (they were warm and soft) and the Philly fries, which were both good.
