Burgers are so good and the cheese sticks are so huge. If you looking for a good burger give them a try.

We were here with a large party (roughly 20 people) and was surprised to be waited on by a woman who said she'd been there less than a week. (It was clear she had serving experience though). She began by counting off numbers to match the bill with parent/child. I opted for the grilled walleye and was excited to see they had gluten free fries. The fried walleye was a HUGE serving that was definitely meant for sharing. The mozzarella sticks were a huge hit. The salads looked phenomenal and my daughter loved her burger. Now, when we got the bills it was mass chaos! The manager was very gracious in helping our server. I felt bad since she was so new. She really did a great job at handling so many orders among our 2 tables. read more

I've had this place bookmarked for a while but never found ourselves in downtown cbus until today. We saw a matinee show at the Ohio Theatre (highly recommend) and then walked over to Pat & Gracie's for a late lunch. Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍ read more

Doordashed grilled chicken..it was tasty. Made to my exact order detailed. Was fresh tasting. Nothing extra special. But wasn't bad. Wasn't dry. Wasn't juicy. I reheated in oven. Because doordash was a bit of a drive.. Added some season on the burger to Broil and then also the fries added some garlic pepper on them. They did the job. Would order again. Filled my craving for a grilled chicken sandwhich! Good price for 2 for one! read more

Pat and Gracie's is very near to capital Square, and is an excellent location for a lunch or dinner with friends or colleagues. Great for finding some food before attending a show at one of the nearby theaters. The menu is what I would best describe as comfort, food. Burgers, pot roast, chicken, pastas, and other selections, which are filling and delicious. A menu is available for review online. Parking is available on street and in a variety of garages and flat lots located throughout the area. read more

A nice place to stop by before an evening show at one of the nearby theaters. Good location, selection and seating options. But to me, everything was overpriced by a dollar or two. Especially the drinks and particularly the beers. They do make a mean fried chicken Cobb salad. The Chimi burger was nice but the fries were nothing special. read more

Finally tried the new location on High Street. I will start with the service. I love being greeted immediately when I come into an establishment and they deliver. I was able to pick my seating because it wasn't too crowded. And my waiter whom I forgot his name earned his tip. As far as my meal I went with a cheeseburger with bacon and fries. The fries were cold but the waiter corrected that quickly. As far as my burger it was juicy and well prepared, not overcooked nor undercooked. The bacon was excellent as well. I will definitely try them again and picking something different off the menu there are a lot of different options something for everyone read more

The only reason I didn't give this a lower rating is because the staff handled the issues well but overall I'm so let down by P&G because I had never had a bad meal (at the Graceland location at least) before & almost everything was a let down in this visit. The bad: We ordered a side of fries to nibble on with our drinks & the whitest, most unseasoned (not even salted) potato sticks came out to the table. Meanwhile I'm trying to convince my friend (who had never been to P&G before) that I've never had them that bad before & to not worry because I'm sure the rest would come out better. We did not complain to the server about this. I got the Flame Broiled Salmon Dinner & my friend got the Spicy Burger w/ broccoli instead of the fries. Every single item in my dish had something wrong with it. The salmon was barely cooked...like just enough to make the grill lines & change the color of the very outside layer. Now, let me make it clear that I actually enjoy a medium/medium well temp salmon if it has a hard sear on the outside. That was not this. The mashed potatoes weren't anything special, not very creamy but the issue was that they came out cold. Not even remotely close to warm even. As if they had been sitting out at room temperature for hours. The broccoli was so terrible that neither my friend nor I ate ours. Somehow it was raw inside but rubbery on the outside. Like it had been flash-boiled or something. When I say boiled I mean that. I often steam mine at home because I like it al dente & this is not how it comes out. There was no seasoning, butter, nothing on it. We couldn't even cut it with our butter knives. The service itself was a bit lackluster, but not the worse. We waited a bit for our server to come over but he acknowledged this & apologized and we were totally fine with it. It was just hard to get a hold of him throughout the dinner so that's why I had to go complain to the bartender about my entree instead of our server. For $26 I had to say something. The payment method is weird. We hate when places bring the machine to you to pay while they stand there instead of just bringing you a check first. You feel rushed, don't get to see if it's correct, etc. The Good: The atmosphere is cute. I like the details & decorations. The bar area has a dark, sexy feel without needing to get your flashlight out lol. The bathrooms were spacious & clean. The seasonal Maple Sidecar cocktail was yummy & I liked the garnish accents. Everything, including the drinks came out in a timely fashion. My friend's burger was juicy & well cooked (if not a bit under). The bartender handled the situation well when I complained about my dish. I asked if they could just microwave the whole thing because we were going to the theater & didn't have time to order something different. He said he would do that but that I shouldn't be having to eat microwaved salmon so that they would also be comping the dish. I agree with him but I couldn't go to the theater on an empty stomach so I nibbled on what tasted ok when it came out. Handling this the way he did is the only reason that the review wasn't a fail. Overall, I don't think I'll ever return to this location. There's clearly an issue with the kitchen staff &/or training of it. However, I will continue to visit the Clintonville location & maybe only stick to burgers from now on. Needless to say, with this experience being her first, my friend will most likely never try them out again. read more

First, I want to stress that this place was seriously understaffed on the Sunday afternoon that we went for lunch. The one server who was there was so attentive and friendly (as best he could be; thank you Jay), as was the other person who was doing the duties of bartender, host, and sometimes server. The place was not exactly empty because there was a 2 o'clock matinee at the Ohio Theatre, so people were grabbing lunch before the show (this is also one of the restaurants that CAPA recommends show goers check out). Our server told us apologetically that all of the other servers called out; because of that, wait times for food and service were pretty long, which is nerve-racking when you are waiting to get to a show. Again, I want to stress this is not our servers's fault, but it did make me wonder about overall management. The inside of the restaurant is pleasant enough the food was pretty basic (burgers, sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, a lot of fried bar / diner food), but it was made well, especially considering the staff issues. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was a little spicy (in good way) due to the Sriracha based sauce, and it also had a tasty avocado and onion topping. Fries seemed a little undercooked, and mozzarella sticks were huge portions, but a little lukewarm (I think they had to sit and wait for our server to get a chance to bring them to our table. ) This was all fine because there's not a lot of options downtown, though I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. I also think with corrected staffing issues it would be better. read more

love this place, great food and friendly atmosphere, can't go wrong here , but try the mozzarella sticks!

First time here at Pat and Gracie's. Gee, I wonder who the owners are. (Smile) We started with mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. Not only were they delicious but they were also the size of baseball bats. This is what mozzarella sticks should be! Pay attention people! I ordered the patty melt. Whew! That very first bite was almost life changing. It was that good! Maybe even the best I've had and I love trying them anywhere I go. It was that good...or did I say that already? Grace was a wonderful server. Able to answer all our questions even though I didn't get what the PG salad was. (Hint name of the place) Yeesh Me! I would highly recommend Pat and Gracie's. This place is on my "I'll be back" list. Nod to the chef for your creations and to whatever inspires you. Keep up the great work! Could not have gotten any better. read more

First of all, on a beautiful early spring evening, what a treat to sit outside! I enjoyed a lovely cocktail and the biggest mozzarella sticks I've ever seen! And they were delicious. If I was smart I would have stopped with that and a small salad but instead I ordered the portabello mushroom sandwich. The roasted red peppers added a nice balance to the mushroom and cheese. I had a side salad with garlic parm dressing. The salad was generous and the dressing was not too garlicky, maybe could have had some cracked pepper with it. Service was polite, prompt, and helpful. Grace, thank you! My suggestion for the menu would be to add a black bean burger. Would be nice to have more veg options. read more

I work right down the street from this gem. I love hitting P&G for lunch, and find myself getting those delicious mozzarella sticks for lunch at least once a month (iykyk). The salads are phenomenal, the service is excellent, and I highly recommend for a speedy lunch or a nice date before a show, it's business lunch friendly but romantic at night. read more

Stopped at P & G's after the Pride Parade. Had only ever been to the former P & G on Gay Street, which is now Matt and Tony's Tavern. The speed of service was good, and the quality of the food was good. I would have given them at least a 4 star had it not been for their deceptive pricing and then their attitude after I called them out on it. My husband ordered the Chimi burger, which came with one side. Our server said he could get fries, tots, mac and cheese, and one other item which I can't remember. He opted for the tots. He also got an alcoholic beverage. I order the P & G Classic Breakfast plate. On the menu it stated it came with 2 eggs, potatoes, sourdough toast, and choice of bacon or sausage. When she brought the food to the table, I noticed it did not include the toast. When I asked Jessie about the toast, she said it no longer came with toast. She seemed bothered that I questioned it, then made a big deal like she was doing me a HUGE favor by bringing out toast. Well, she brought the toast but said they didn't have butter and did not offer jam either. When it was time to pay, she brought the TOAST machine, to the table and flashed it in front of me and I see a total of 52.00. I then questioned the total and asked to see the item breakdown before I paid. They charged me 16.99 for the breakfast plate and 4.00 extra for the tots, plus a credit card fee. When I pushed to get the price changed on the breakfast plate, she got a slight attitude and said she would have to get the manager. The manager finally came out and said she changed the price to reflect the menu price. She was not apologetic, but double down on the new price even though it was on the menu. I noticed on a menu posted on YELP they moved the sourdough toast to the side items for 2.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, the old 14.99 breakfast plate is now 20.00. Definitely not worth it. I can go to IHOP or Bob Evans or Waffle House and get just as good as breakfast food. Their overall attitude is what got them 2 stars! read more

Raw fries, mediocre food, slow service, and very basic decor. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Love the atmosphere at this downtown location! Aleah was our server this evening and was totally awesome! We both tried something new tonight and had enjoyed every bite. Top notch as always! I really hope this location does well, I'm always super impressed with the food here. Service is stellar as well, everyone is incredibly friendly. Second visit ever this week with my wife and a friend on her way back to Seattle. Parking is a premium in the area. We lucked out getting a spot right in front! We pursued the menu and an ordered a Columbus Brewing IPA and Ginger Ales for the girls. We started with Buckeye Pretzel Bites as an appetizer. I ordered the Chicken Wing Sandwich, my wife a bowl of the Chicken Noodle Soup, and our friend the Chicken Quesadilla lunch special. The pretzel bites were not bad, but nothing special. My Chicken Wing Sandwich was superbly delicious! I highly recommend it! The Chicken Quesadilla had high praise as well. On the other hand, the Chicken Noodle Soup was pedestrian at best with two pieces of chicken and mostly salt for seasoning . We did get the Lazarus Cheesecake to close out our meal...absolutely delicious. We'll stop again when in the neighborhood! read more

Well, we walked in and waited 15 minutes before ANYONE said anything to us and we were giving them grace because they were obviously understaffed. So we waited 15 minutes and then got sat, every single table was dirty and covered in dirty dishes - once we were sat our order was taken fast but it was so bad. We ordered the loaded tots with a side of ranch and they came out cold and so bland like the salt on the table couldn't even save it. They forgot to make it loaded so we just had bland tots. We ate those because we were starving and we waited for 30 minutes for someone to come back to our table and refill our waters OR take our food order but no one ever showed up. At this point the servers had time to stand around and chat but not to refill waters or clean tables. We decided to ask for the bill but no one ever came around so we left exact change of the menu price and walked out. very disappointed because if the service or food even tried to be good we would've stayed. read more

Stopped by Pat and Gracie's while in town for a concert. Casual feel with cool decor! Vintage classy feel. The menu is on the smaller side but adequate selection. We started with mozzarella sticks - delish! And more like mozzarella logs - huge lol. Marinara left a bit to be desired but good mozz stick. Three of our party got the chimi burger and one the patty melt. All thumbs up - every burger was delicious. Fries were ok - nothing to write home about but not bad either. The Mac n cheese was better than most when available as a side. Service was fine. One downside - I ordered a beer and made a comment about looking forward to something they had being a cold draft. Only then did the server say "oh it might be warm bc it's been broken for a while." I suggested she really shouldn't have given me a draft menu if they are serving warm beer. Gross! All in all - worth the stop. Food was worth it! read more

Their cheese sticks are amazing. The rest of our food was delicious. The place is small and the seats are close but it's a fine place to go.

Stopped in with some colleagues for lunch. And this was my second time dining in at this location. We were able to get seated right away. The restaurant was pretty clean, and the service was fast. We put in an appetizer for the table we got the House-made Tator Tots with homemade garlic aioli. Which was phenomenal. And then the table got different burgers. I got the double cheeseburger which was very filling and very good. The fries were just okay, I should have asked for some better fries. They seemed liked they had been sitting out a long time and they just were trying to get rid of them. But overall the burger was pretty good. I would recommend to anyone their hamburgers . I wouldn't get the French Fries again. I would try a different side or just get the sandwich. Our waiter was really nice and friendly. Overall for a lunch it was pretty good.
