We love press grill, cheap good bar food, great service, TouchTunes, and good wine for a dive bar.

Press Grill is a lively little joint with a killer smash burger. We went on a weekend and it was slammed, but we managed to grab bar seats after a quick wait. Definitely order the cottage fries--they're amazing and taste just like those old-school buffalo chips. I do wish they came with a dipping sauce or aioli just to add a little extra kick to all that potato, but otherwise, everything was great

The food was really good. The food came out hot and quickly. Service began slow but after the waitress noticed we were sitting there. The food and drinks came out really quickly. The ambience is a wide range of people ranging a lot of different ages. But everybody was quiet and was sharing in keeping the mood chill. Will definitely return if in the area, especially because kitchen stays open later than most nowadays.

Had to double back on press grill it's just one of my favorite restaurants. Burger was absolutely amazing. Hugggeeee. Cheesy and cooked so well. Fries were perfectly crispy and tasty. The service was quick even though the place was packed from wall to wall!

Had dinner and drinks after a comedy show last night. Had the New York Strip Steak. It was delicious. The vibe is iconic, cozy pub with many screens to watch sports and good music playing. But the best thing about the Press Grill is the service! The staff remembers you from previous suits and takes great care of you. Last night my friend left her phone on our table as we left. The fabulous Josh ran down High Street to get it back to her!! Thank you so much JOSH!

Highly recommend by a local and the front desk staff at the Hampton Inn. Even though there is A LOT of OSU Buckeye everywhere I turn, it's been a great place to hang out until the conference tomorrow representing Stickers and More as a pinch hitter during the busy conference season. Review ‼ I ordered the buffalo wings. They were very meaty and had great texture and flavor too. I ordered the medium heat and the honey barbecue. I also ordered the small wedge salad their homemade blue cheese dressing really makes it a difference with all those taste and elements mixed together. My waitress Erin she was very attentive to needs and refills and prompt and her sister went to Indiana University so that made the meal even better since I'm sitting in the middle of BUCKeye country. Lol For dessert I ordered the peanut butter snicker pie. Oh my word it is so decadent and rich. I have to eat it slow so I don't get sick which the kids say "sic"is good sick not a bad kind of sick.

I was pointed in the direction of Press Grill for good food, and they did not disappoint! I took a seat at the bar where I was greeted immediately. I had a few questions about the menu which the lovely lady behind the bar helped with and decided on the double cheeseburger with a side of the Tabasco mayo sauce. The food came out quickly and it is an understatement when I say I INHALED the burger. I dipped each bite of the burger in the sauce and it was heavenly! I almost licked the ramekin it was THAT good! I will be back next time I'm in town, there is no doubt about that.

There's a reason Press Grill has been around for as long as it has! Great food. Don't mess around and order anything they're not known for; get the burger. I am not leading you astray when I say it's one of the best in Columbus. We came here for my brother in law's birthday. I've always heard about this place but hadn't made my way. I am glad I did! Service was great. We ordered a bottle of wine, although I felt like I should have been drinking a cold draft beer given the ambiance of the place. It has that old bar feel where it feels like you should be sitting at the bar watching people pass on by while you read the Columbus Dispatch and chat along with other patrons!

First time there! Service was fast, and the food was amazing. The pizza was a bit different than what I'm used to, but it was absolutely delicious. Definitely will be coming back -- great atmosphere, friendly staff, and overall a really good experience!

Buffalo chicken sandwich with cottage fries

Press Grill came highly recommended. We went in for an early dinner recently and weren't disappointed. I don't remember our server's name but she was hard to find whoever our party of four needed something. She sort of disappeared after taking our order. The restaurant is very dark, which I wasn't a fan of but that might be fine for some people. It wasn't that the lights were dim. They were actually off, or light bulbs were blown) over several tables. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and cottage fries. The sandwich is usually dipped in their medium sauce but I opted forgot sauce. I was pleased with the spicier option. This was my first time trying cottage fries and they were good. This meal was very filling and I would definitely visit Press Grill again. *limited vegetarian/vegan options

Everything we had was a go. Service was fast Wings overpriced but good. All sauces are made in-house except for the pizza sauce, which is local. Ambiance is a bit dark for lunch, but no biggie

McClellan's Pub - Fish n chips

I can't prove this, but I believe they have the largest whisky selection in the city. Hey make a mean fish and chips, and there is even a day of the week you can get it for half-off (shhh). It can get crazy busy, so be prepared for that. We come back way too often!

"Come for the Fish & Chips, stay because you can't feel your legs--mostly from whiskey, partly from…read morethe temperature in the restaurant." McClellan's Pub delivered a plate of Fish & Chips so good I briefly considered applying for dual citizenship with Ireland and Great Britain just to honor both sides of the dish. Perfectly crispy, piping hot, and seasoned like the chef whispered sweet nothings to the fryer. The whiskey selection? Huge. Titanic. Practically its own ZIP code. But not a drop of Powers. , A tragedy Shakespeare himself would've rewritten entire scenes for. So, like any self-respecting Irish-at-heart patron, I defaulted to good old Jameson--reliable, comforting, and always there for you, like that one friend who helps you move because they "actually like lifting things." I also grabbed to-go orders for the home tribe: bourbon meatballs, prime rib sliders, and meatloaf. The feedback? Universal acclaim. They devoured everything like I'd brought them a peace offering after years of conflict. If McClellan's ever launches a catering service, entire families could be reunited. The place was packed through Happy Hour and well beyond--apparently, half of Columbus had the same idea. If popularity is a metric of quality, this pub is basically Beyoncé. Temperature-wise? A bit chilly. Could've been the weather... could've been the pub... could've been the frigid realization that they were this close to having my favorite whiskey. Hard to say. Bring a jacket just in case. All in all, McClellan's is a rock-solid choice for hearty pub eats, stellar vibes, and enough whiskey to make you forget they didn't have the one you wanted.

Great for finding some food before attending a show at one of the nearby theaters. The menu is what I would best describe as comfort, food. Burgers, pot roast, chicken, pastas, and other selections, which are filling and delicious. A menu is available for review online. Parking is available on street and in a variety of garages and flat lots located throughout the area.

Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍
