Fish n chips
Leah R.

This place is great! Wednesdays they have half off fish and chips. Two huge pieces of fish, great breading to fish ratio. Fries are good! Full bar, and service is great! My husband and I sat on their patio which has plenty of room and shade. We will for sure be back to try some other menu items.

2nd time here recently and I was able to meet Adam and he helped me all the bit. What an amazing little pub! Delicious food, amazing selection of brown liquor (scotch, bourbon, whiskey) quite a few taps and more than enough can or bottle beer. Chill spot that's super clean and welcoming, their patio is probably a favorite in the area as many don't have privacy walls for wind. Love this place, don't hesitate go check it out female veteran owned

We went here for fish & chips on a Friday. It was delicious!! The bar isn't too loud either. They have $5 Guinness on Fridays too. What a steal!! I would love to come back here and try more food!! We also got the Bourbon caramel Bundt cake - and that was delicious!!! We are coming back forsure!!

McClellan's was our final stop for our St. Patrick's Day pub "crawl" today! While I was excited for some Reuben Balls and Bangers and Mash, I was sadly disappointed in both. All of the food that my husband and I ordered was cold. I ordered the Reuben Balls and Bangers and Mash and my husband ordered the Beef and Guiness Stew and a side order of French Fries. My husband did like the flavors of the Beef and Guiness Stew - he just didn't like that it was cold. We soaked the French Fries with vinegar and ketchup and those were good! My good lacked any flavor. The Reuben Balls and the Mashed Potatoes both did not have any flavor nor taste. So sad! We weren't fond of the music either. I am sorry for this poor review - we really wanted to like this place too.

Fish and Chips

Cool little Irish pub, well themed, with a great selection of beer, whiskey and food. The Reuben egg rolls were delicious, loaded with cabbage and served with a tasty thousand island side sauce, but it was a bit light on the corned beef. The fish and chips were also delicious, but the fries, they were more like fair fries and they were not the crunchy fries one would expect with a fish and chips. The service was great! Overall, I'll definitely come back here again and would recommend that you give them a visit!

First time stopping at McClellan's Pub and it did not disappoint. First off the service was awesome. Our server Ben was spot on. Friendly, professional and timely. Gave a lot of suggestions on what to try. The food was incredible. We started with the Irish Egg Rolls and Artichoke dip. Topped that off with the Fish and Chips and they were spot on. Lightly battered, flavorful and not greasy. The chips were perfect as well. The Guinness was perfectly poured and smooth. It was well worth the stop.

So we I have been here a few more times, and brought some company. The wins are still the appetizers I had before (Irish egg roll, Reuben balls, sliders). The sliders were good. Their whiskey selection is solid. This time we all did fish and chips, and beers. First a Guinness - good pours. Then a porter, and the glass had the bubble trails that indicate it wasn't the cleanest glass. We did the pretzel charcuterie, and it was just okay - the pretzel was chewy, but the accoutrements were decent (even though it felt like a Trader Joe's special). The dips also were tasty - although the cheese had that "I've been sitting for a bit" skin on top. The fish and chips: Because my friend is an asshole, he whined that "the chips aren't chips - they should be steak fries!" We didn't care - they're natural cut fries, the kind that taste great with malt vinegar. The fish itself - a little bready, but a bit greasy. These get all the rant and raving online around lent, so maybe it is "too early" to get a decent batch, because it really doesn't deserve the hype. Service was spot on - it wasn't too busy, literally just the bartender, and she kept the food coming and the drinks poured, and never let us feel unattended. So the four stars is a bit iffy - I have had better late lunches there, so I want to try the fish and chips again, the service and whiskey selection is top, and their other items have been really good. So take a gamble - it'll either be "okay" or "really good" and nowadays I like those odds.

Irish egg rolls

A comfortable place with good service but I just don't like the food. It has no taste. It's just fried. For most people, that's enough. I went to dinner with several friends and I ordered the fish and chips. Mine was not ready when the other orders were so our server brought me out an order of Irish Egg Rolls (free). Most restaurants would not have done that and I appreciate that. They didn't have much taste, though - just tasted fried. My order eventually came. It was a nice big portion of fish and it was good fried fish. The fries were kind of soggy or at least not crisp. The cole slaw was sweet, the thousand island was sweet and even the tartar sauce was sweet.

Food was so good and service was great! We got the spinach and artichoke dip and it was huge and came with several things to dip! Then I got the pick two with a grilled cheese and wedge salad! Huge portions! Would absolutely get again!!! Great vibe and lots of drinks to pick from!

Haven't been here in years. I've always remembered their wings. Stopped in today because I wanted wings. Still have the best wings around. If you haven't tried them, do not hesitate. They're big and the sauces are great.

The Draft Room held a "Dark as Night" event which they featured some rare, highly rated stouts. They listed the stouts and after doing some review research, I knew I couldn't miss out! The bar has seating at the bar, small tables near the bar, and bigger tables/booth near the front of the bar. There is a small narrow outside patio, which looked mainly for smoking. I'm not sure if there are tables out there maybe when the weather is nice. The Draft Room had a ton of taps and offered flights, full beer pours, and even half beer pours for all their beers. I love this idea because sometimes I would rather have a smaller portion to try more things! The bartenders were fast and efficient. Since my husband and I both opted to do a flight, they handed us a board with four holes for the flight glasses, and a piece of chalk. The drafts are listed by number, and posted on each side of the bar. We wrote the number of the drafts we wanted to try on the chalk board paint next to each of the drink holes. What a cool idea! There was a cooler of take home beers on the side of the bar. I saw multiple people coming in and buying beer from the cooler and leaving. They have a great selection! They don't have their own food, so you can bring your own. The bar is right next to Jimmy John's and also Pasquale's! We will definitely be back!

I haven't written about The Draft Room?…read more I was introduced to this place to meet my SO's friends at one time, I think they were doing an event with Baker's Acres (another great local company). Since then - we have come back for their plant bingo quite often, and I've seen a lot of their staff, and have come away with zero complaints. They keep a nice tap list with variety (a little hop heavy, but that's the current trend, right?), they have a small selection of to-go beers and singles/BYO. It's a chill location, with Pasquale's nearby, and Ox-b's across the street (who do free delivery during plant bingo). Basically, if you like a chill bar and good drinks, this is a great place to stop in to!

There were a lot of bodies waiting in the small area near the host desk and it was a little chaotic. Our server kept trying to bring us the wrong bottle of wine (we ordered a bottle of French bubbly and she kept coming back with a Riesling) so I am not sure if it was a disconnect or what. Eventually we received the correct bottle after taking the toast tab and pointing to the appropriate one on the POS. Our group enjoyed some small plates; the ceviche and the beet salad and hummus were all lovely. However, I ordered the kind of already overpriced lobster scramble. The portion was CRAZY. What I received was a 1.5" piece of lobster meat on top of what seemed to be less than one eggs' worth of pre blended egg. There was still liquid egg that hadn't been cooked in the pan and it was accompanied by three wedges of a Roma tomato with a handful of dressed arugula. For $29. I would hope at that price point, I would at least get 2 eggs worth. WILD. All in all, enjoyable experience but Cameron Mitchell should probably revise some of the portion sizes/menu items. And please, please, nobody order the lobster scramble and experience the same fate that I did.

They have great bartenders and tasty food and drinks. Food includes soups, sharables, salads, sandwiches, featured entrees, and desserts. We had 1,000 attendees at a recent University Housing conference with man of the guests staying at the Hyatt Regency. The Big Bar on 2 hung on fliers in the airport advertising special drinks created for the occasion: Don't Tell the R.A. (bourbon, lemon, and blueberry syrup) and M.I.P. Violation Shot (Irish whisky, peach schnapps, sour mix, and Starry lemon-lime soda). They'll also held Saturday night karaoke as well as hosting a dueling piano bar for a company on Monday night at the bar. As a World of Hyatt Globalist, I received two coupons for a free appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage. I remembered to use this on my last night staying in the hotel. I showed up during the last hour before they closed on a weekday evening. First, I ordered a fruity and sweet drink with a vodka base, which the bartender did a wonderful job in creating for me. Then, I ordered two appetizers for a friend and me: Cheese Curds (garlic white cheddar cheese curds, house marinara, fresh herbs, pecorino) and Chicken Wings (eight fried wings, celery, choice of buffalo, bbq, house hot honey, or Carolina gold bbq. choice of ranch or blue cheese). Finally, I also ordered a Shirley Temple, which was a sweet way to end some appetizers and drinks. All of the drinks and appetizers were tasty, and the service was great!! With many bars in the area at hotels and elsewhere downtown, this one is special. It is a 60-foot-long bar featuring sleek black granite and an espresso-colored finish. In addition to the signature drinks and the food options, there are stunning views of downtown Columbus. The Big Bar on 2 was a great place for my colleagues and I to gather after a day at the Convention Center and evening dinners or receptions.
