I hate writing bad reviews. It sucks the cool right out of me. Let's start with positives. Great parking lot. It was very busy but still plenty of parking. My soft drink was cold and wasn't flat We walked in to the restaurant and the waiting area was packed and people who were waiting for open tables as you try and seat yourself. We decided to go sit at the bar to eat. The restaurant is nice. Somewhat clean. Bathroom could have used some tlc We ordered our food, which for me was fish and chips and my friend got a club. BTW I was on the fence between the Reuben and fish chips but the waitress recommended the fish and chips so I went with that and I also ordered a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. The soup came and I was starving so I dug in and after the first bite was looking for my drink as it was salty as heck. At this point I started having a bad feeling about the food and when my fish and chips showed up my feelings were unfortunately correct. The fish was drenched in oil that was burnt. It was so bad you could smell the burnt oil and even though my plate was full of the oil residue from the fries and fish I tried it. I was totally disgusted and even offered my friend to try it which he did and immediately spit out. I caught the waitress and showed it to her and she immediately apologized even though it had nothing to do with her and she got me a Reuben ordered. Btw the staff was great. The gal tending bar and the waitress who took care of us were great. I also want to add that my friend who ordered the club said it was good. I got the Reuben and again wasn't happy with how it turned out. At which point I asked for check and decided to leave as my stomach was doing hula hoops in disgust. Idk if it was an off day. It is a Sunday around 1pm but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Came out to $50 and imho I could have spent it way better. Idk if I will give it another shot, but who knows. went to have dinner last night waited over an hour and a half for our food was given every excuse under the on why we were waiting so long for food. I ordered a margarita that tasted like a sour ball fortunately I like sour stuff so I drank it, but was not a margarita I would recommend the food was average, not like the other place. The waitress was pleasant, but was not on top of things. I would not recommend them at this time. We had also ordered some cheese sticks. They were undercooked. probably will not return to this restaurant until they get their stuff together. It is obvious they denied at this time. read more

Don't let the outside fool you-this is a great find for hearty, delicious food! Attentive staff and fun interior Irish/Guinness theme, the day of our visit, a college game had just finished and many families with kids of all ages were also having an early dinner, so family friendly, and a nice place overall. read more

Food was great. Service was prompt. Prices were nice. I got 5 wings, honey mustard, my bride got a chicken wrap with tater tots, and my daughter had honey BBQ wings. What a Gem! My wife and I were traveling back from the east coast and picked Ashland, OH to spend the night. She found this place on google and we went there around 7:30pm for dinner. We walked in the door and the place was packed. We were fortunate to find the last open table. A manager came over and took our drink orders and brought us water. Our server came by and took our orders. My wife ordered a salad and reuben and I ordered a salad and the LunchBox Pasta. My wife immediately told me that I was nuts for ordering pasta in an Irish Pub, but I was intrigued by the description which was "a variety of meats over fettuccine with Alfredo sauce". I ate every bit of it. It was delicious and I would order it again. The people at this place were extremely nice and the service was excellent. read more

A post graduation meal was marked as a success, although the reservation was made at the last minute and the number of attendees kept growing, right up to reservation time. Through a miracle pulled off by the owner (who did most of the initial serving) and a great staff, the meal was a success, I didn't look like a schmuck and my daughter had a great celebration. Stopped on our way home from Columbus to Canton, and had a great late lunch! It was fairly busy for 2 in the afternoon...a good sign, and the service was fast and friendly. I had a perfectly cooked burger and loved that there were multiple bun choices. Brioche was delicious. Also perfect and multiple choice were the fries-I chose curly and my husband picked hand cut. Yummy with vinegar. He loved his Rueben, and said the thousand island tasted homemade. Topped off with Christmas Ale, it was a great late lunch at a place you would never think had so much to offer from the outside. Also, very reasonable prices, and so many menu choices! The food here is amazing... Never knew this place existed until I was looking for a place to have a surprise 50th for the boyfriend. They reserve tables for you for free if you are eating and drinking there for a party. Place is small but the reserved "party room" is plenty big for what we had. I spoke with someone in a regular basis to do a menu and when to have stuff out. Everything was perfect! We have Been back there to eat several different times since the party a year ago have always had great service and amazing food!! read more

I've driven past this place many times but never stopped because of the rundown motel it's attached to but finally gave it a try after seeing the reviews. Gr8 pub type bistro located in a sleazy rundown Motel.! Warm cozy atmosphere with super friendly staff and locals. Fantastic menu, couldn't decide what to get, everything sounded really good. I ended up ordering the black and bleu Burger rare and it came out cooked perfectly, nice and Juicy and Delicious! The homemade french fries were a bonus! Walked in and sat myself. Eventually, the bartender came and brought me a menu and asked for my drink order. Drink came quick. Katie was the waitress and bartender for the whole place it seemed. And for a small place it was too busy for just her. She did her best. The food though, meh. Had French onion soup. It was barely warm. Topped with two slices of provolone and some out of the bag croutons. The BLT salad was edible. It was a bed of spinach with crumbled bacon, crumbled eggs, and some whole grape tomatoes. Katie took care of the soup for me. She was the best thing about the whole experience. I know it's hard to find staff these days. My rating is not a reflection of Katie, just the food. read more

1st time here. The outside is bad. This "pub" is in the bottom of an old hotel. It looks unappealing outside. If you want TV, beers, and a local old dive bar feel, come here. We were here to meet some friends- we split the travel distance and they chose this place. Food- Our family got burgers, chicken sandwich, and a sirloin w/MR/onions.The sandwiches were good, family ate them all. Shoestring fries were barely warm, dried out and rubbery. The steak- asked for Med- pink but hot in middle. It came well done and the meat fibres were pulling apart they were so tough. I couldn't handle it and asked her to fix it. The waitress was very kind and cheerful and took the steak n fries to replace them. She said she would bring the fries when they were done. This threw me for a bit-I know FF don't take as long as a steak, but OK. I usually don't like to eat a big chunk of steak all by itself. The occasional bite of FF/w ketchup in between makes them even better! The FF came out, steaming, greasy, and very hot. Lots of salt killed some of the grease taste and I blotted some of the grease off. The new steak took a long time, but it had a nice char to it, good flavor and it was med well this time, so Yay! Better than the 1st try. Coleslaw was very sour, but good. This place is OK- no major complaints. read more

We randomly stopped in here for lunch. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich and I had the fish and chips. Both were great! My husband had a huge side salad and the blue cheese chips too. Everything was was served hot and timed out perfectly. There were two waitresses working and both were very attentive and super friendly. Met my kids here as a halfway point between home and their house. Food wasn't bad, in fact, it was pretty good. Service left a lot to be desired though. We waited almost 20 minutes for drinks and our order to be taken. My order was messed up and it took the server 3 attempts to get it right. For what Ashland has to offer, O'Bryan's is about as good as you're going to get in regard to a somewhat "pub" atmosphere. The din of sports TV and incessant garbling by the masses of customers crowding the bar can be annoying at times, but they have a filet mignon sandwich (probably $8-9 by itself) which is to die for. Tucked into the armpit of one of the last non-chain hotels in the area, with a decent variety of beers. read more

Great spot in Ashland! ...just don't order wine, and you'll be totally fine! They have a wonderful menu that ranges from any sort of burger you'd like, to grouper (poor man's lobser. It is wonderful!), to veggie burgers! GREAT food, good drinks, nice atmosphere. They do have a number of televisions playing sports games, but they are not excessively loud. They're easy to get away from. They even have a few areas where seating is slightly more intimate. And the wine... It's terrible. Stick with any of the other drinks. read more

Nice little small town bar! The place can get a little packed some nights but hey it's a bar. The girls who tend the bar always have been friendly and prompt when I've been in there. Drink selection is above average but not great. I wish they had a larger draft selection but its not terrible. Love it around the holidays when they have Great Lakes Christmas Ale on tap, order it with cinnamon sugar on the rim trust me. The drinks can be slightly pricey but not to bad. I think this is a good thing though because it keeps the riff raff out. The food is bar food but its good! The club sandwich is pretty good. Went there one time on a wing night, good price and the wings were pretty good. Overall not a bad place to go for a drink or two and little bit of bar food. read more
