If you know, you know... This Ale House is very unassuming from the outside. It blends in well next to the Lowes and other strip mall staples like Dollar Tree. But as soon as you walk through the door, you walk alongside a well lit atrium that has carved out space for semi-private parties. And then walking into the main tavern area, it really looks nice. Modern everything, a nice bar, and lots of TVs. I went there for an early happy hour (3:00ish on a Friday), and definitely appreciated their drink and food discounts. The servers did well to handle our group of 12. And my chicken tenders and fries sufficed to balance my craft beer consumption. By the time I left around 5:00, the place had gotten a lot busier which I wouldn't have expected given the location. Mill Run Ale House has a good thing going. read more

Such a wonderful place! We were fortunate enough to have been waited on by one of the twin-brother owners. (very high charisma) The food, along with the atmosphere and was most enjoyable. We have lunched there and are planning to dine there this week for my birthday celebration (my choice). Highly recommended for family and friends. read more

Not a bad experience at all. Amazing customer service and a cozy environment to eat at. We picked their pepperoni pizza and we acrylics thought it was delicious. I wish the crust had a layer of butter on it because it was very dry. Other than that, I'd like to come back and check out their burger sometime. read more

First time trying out this restaurant and enjoyed it. Met the owners and were impressed, they seemed to really care and were present. Food was on point. The soup was a little salty, but I know soup can be like that. Their happy hour deals and drink menu is aplenty. We sat on the covered patio, which was a nice change. Def. will be back! read more

Pretty nice selection of drinks and food. Pizza, pasta, burgers and other handhelds, wings, and salad. The service was super friendly but it seemed they got sidetracked often. Not just our server but also the table next to ours. It's a spacious area and seemed good for groups too. Clean. I gave it a 4 because we didn't actually eat any food. But we will be back and we will eat. This was Hales Ales and has switched names (not sure about ownership). The place has really upped its game as far as decor. It's looks so clean and fresh. Very modern and cozy. The patio is very inviting. Looking forward to trying that in the spring. we come here all the time and the service use to be great service has gone down down, especially if you go during happy hour... multiple people had to get up from the patio and go find their server after waiting for a long period of time but we keep coming back cause the food is really good. This review is based on food only. This was our first time ordering from Mill Run Ale House since the new ownership took over, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The Philly cheesesteak was overcooked and dry. My husband had to slather it with mayo to make it edible. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with grilled chicken, and it barely had six tiny strips of chicken inside. Because of the lack of chicken, over half the wrap was left over. The kids' chicken tender meal wasn't any better--the tenders were dry and rubbery. The only thing we enjoyed was the fries. We were left hungry and disappointed, and sadly, we won't be ordering from here again. read more

Stopped in Ale house this afternoon for the first time. Super impressed! Rafael welcomed us, told us about the place, made us feel very much at home right away. The food and service were outstanding! Everything is freshly made and top notch, we had a delicious 4 cheese pizza and the calamari was out of this world. And of course " the one and only" Nicole was our server, very friendly, helpful and perfectly attentive to our every need and very sweet! Cant wait to go back and try other menu items. I'm so glad that we came to try Mill Run. In our first year living in Columbus, we have struggled to find a place that felt as diverse with its beer selection as with its food. Don't let its lowkey exterior dissuade you from coming. This place is fantastic. The beer selection great, the menu has something for everyone and the atmosphere is great. Not too fancy for bringing the family, and just right for a date night out. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable and are on top of things. Wow! Formally "Hales Ales". We walked in after going to the aquarium store next door. The place is lighter, airy, and so so clean. GREAT food. Smash burger was delicious and fries were perfect. Romano chicken salad was extremely good and tasted very fresh. The barrel-aged old fashioned evoked yummy sounds from my partner, and the beer selection/portions were terrific.
