I would rate this a 4.5 (which in my thoughts is outstanding), but the current rating (under 4) is way off, so giving some additional love here. Our family had a wide range of things, everything was good. I liked their wings (I liked the medium sauce much more than the hot, for the flavor, the heat was not a problem for me). The burger was very good too. I'd recommend checking them out, again, a very solid restaurant. read more

This place is a joke!! DO NOT EAT HERE!! Everything is frozen and thrown into a deep fryer. There is no heart or soul in this place. They want you to eat quickly and leave. Boring atmosphere and servers who are trying to rush you out. So embarrassed I brought a friend in from out of town. The wings are a joke. Barely cooked - with a gallon of sauce dumped on them. I could've done that at home. So bad. So unappetizing. The calamari is frozen and dumped into a fryer and they tasted like nothing. How do places like this stay open? I was appalled that people were in here eating. Everyone looked disappointed in their plate of mush. read more

Came to this (new to me) restaurant and came in excited to try the food, staff was nice but the time wasn't the best. I get that it's a weekend but the team should also know to expect traffic. All I ordered was 2 cheeseburgers fries and Mac and cheese and I waited 50+ mins. I personally wouldn't come back read more

I really enjoyed Press Pub! There is lots of parking. We got there early because we wanted to sit on the patio. We had a reservation so they sat us at our table and told us that if enough tables opened up, they would get us outside (we were a party of 7). Sure enough, within 15 minutes, they were able to get two tables together and we were sitting outside! The waitress got our drinks and brought them outside for us and everything. It was very accommodating. The food itself was great. We got the wings as an appetizer which hit the spot. I ordered the special of the day - fish and chips. It was delicious! Great spot, great vibes, and overall a very enjoyable experience. read more

Never had a bad meal or bad service here. There is indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio. They dont have happy hour but they do have lots of drink options, especially beer and the food is always delicious. They do have nightly food specials with Thursday night serving Thanksgiving dinner. Always a solid choice for a night out. read more

Press on 5th has been our go to for GNO for many years now. The food always hits and the vibes are right. We love that the patio stays open into the colder months, and the inside is a more casual bar style but not loud or obnoxious. The service is always good and the food comes out fast. The wings are some of my favorite in the city and reheat better than most I have found! read more

Called the day before for a large party and confirmed that they could seat us. Even waited while the hostess asked the manager if that was possible. Arrived 15 minutes before our reservation and they said they never got the call. No apologies, no troubleshooting, nothing. First and last time for horrible service. read more

Ordered takeout during snow. Excellent burger, broccoli cheese soup, and wedge salad! Waitress was so helpful!

We went here based off of yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint ! Everything from the service until the last bit was delectable. The portions were a good amount and what we didn't finish traveled well. read more

Dope was ok for pub food... Ambiance is a typical pub feel. It's was empty when I went and I can see why... The service lacks luster from Management to servers. I had Jennifer. I'd take your money elsewhere. read more

Quaint dive bar vibes in the heart of grandview. The spot is casual and accessible with a parking lot out front. Noise level was decent and it wasn't packed. The menu was your basic pub food but had a wide range of offerings. Wings were good and the Buffalo sauce was solid - nothing to write home about though. I really liked the fries - they look so simple but they were perfectly crispy and soft on the inside 10/10 texture. They had an expansive beer menu with combination of tap and bottles as well as non alcoholic too. Service was very slow as it was just the bartender taking our order and checking us out. I think overall it was a good casual place to hang out with your friends and drink but for the price and quality, it was lackluster. read more

Pros: Great location off 5th near the CVS Easy parking Large outdoor seating space Katlin was an excellent server and she checked on us frequently Food and drinks came out quickly Loved the blue cheese dressing on my wedge salad Cons: Our pizzas were super dry - were overdone and was like eating cardboard (it tasted pretty good otherwise!) Pro tip and additional note: The restaurant didn't need to do this, but they comped our pizzas which I thought was very generous. My tip is to go earlier in the evening, have some drinks outside and stay for meal. No downtown parking stress! read more

This is my official love letter to Press Pub on 5th! I have been here countless times over the past two years. The friendly service, constant playing of sporting events, and Tobasco mayo sauce keep me coming back. As a former long-time vegetarian, Press Pub's cheeseburger brought me to the dark side (as shown in picture). Add a side of onion rings to that cheeseburger and you have yourself a balanced meal. Although I do not have a photo, I would highly recommend finishing off your meal with their cheesecake. read more

Burger has remained the same price throughout covid and inflationary periods but!!! It has shrunk in size. Service is great and I love the vibe here but the burger is smaller. Gotta say the loaded potato skins are delicious. Worth the $13 read more

I loved the pizza here. I came just to try it and was not disappointed. Original Pizza: (Dover-New Phila style) Nick's red sauce + Ohio-made Holmes county colby + extra pepperoni. I'm from Dover so there was no way I was going to miss this. There were SO MANY pepperonis on this pizza and I loved every second of it. I added onions. I almost ate the entire pizza myself! 100% recommend. I sat at the bar and the bartender was pretty busy, so she didn't check up on me. I flagged her down for a side of ranch (not good & charged extra for it) and then to get my bill. She was very nice though. read more

Fantastic food. Came for the burger, tried the pizza as well. Good tavern style pizza. Burger was as advertised. Definitely can see why it is regarded as one of the best burgers in Columbus! Great menu all-around with many different options. read more

Great food great service! Very friendly staff. Love their Nathan's hot dogs! We will be going back!

We did an online order ahead of time, and the food was ready quite promptly - we got a text notification on the way over that it was ready. The hand cut cottage fries were a fun option and hot and crispy. The Pesto Chicken Sandwich was large and filling, featuring bacon, fontina cheese, portobello mushrooms, pesto and mayo with lettuce, tomato, and onion. It was much enjoyed. There is parking available, and the exterior of the restaurant is very eye-catching. It looks like they have a nice patio space for warmer weather too. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for a few years now and always have had a good experience, but since moving away from Grandview we hadn't been back in a year or so. We both got the shrimp po boy which is one of the best I have had. It tastes fresh and has really good flavors and is very well-seasoned. I also think that prices are really reasonable and you get a good amount of food for your money. We can't wait to come back! read more

Press is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus. Everything on the menu is so incredible that I always have a hard time picking what to order! My favorite is their cheeseburger. Delicious place to visit in Grandview! Tried their Press Burger with the Cottage Fries. The burger basically melted in my mouth when I was eating it! The cottage fries were the perfect amount of crispy and were very good with the burger. The patio was fairly large and was nice to sit at & enjoy my meal! They had a beer / cocktail list but we just decided to go with waters. The people I went with all enjoyed their meals. For sure a great low key place to go with friends or for a casual dinner. read more

Starting this off by saying our server was awesome and he was tipped accordingly. This food is nothing remarkable and priced such that I felt extreme regret after insisting we eat here. An $80 meal would be much easier to stomach if the $7 small mixed greens salad was anything greater than old romaine and a few pieces of wilted purple lettuce tossed in a brown dressing that made it look even less fresh, if that is at all possible. What the meatloaf sandwich lacked in flavor, it made up for in size (as if this is a good thing). Our child was naturally pleased with her veggie quesadilla, which is tough to make unappealing. The wings were fine, if a bit dry. Save for the service, beer, ginger ale refills, and quesadilla, suffice it to say I had a hard time talking myself out of this negative review and am still having buyer's remorse this morning. read more

Quite disappointing! Bland sandwiches, sides were meh, not a great selection of unique dishes. Felt a little dirty inside. With so many other eateries nearby, we won't be back. I will say my side salad was tasty. So there's a plus. In summary: pass. read more

I've been here twice now and had a good experience both times. The service is great and so is the food. This time I went with a coworker, she had the chicken salad sandwich which was the special for the say and I had their chicken pesto sandwich which is a regular item on their menu. We both had clean plates, so that speaks for itself! The service was great, quick and ideal for lunch. I will certainly be back. :) read more

It's been a while since I've been to a place that was just solid though and through like Press Pub On 5th. What a great find for a casual evening out on the patio. The menu is pretty standard for bar food- burgers and fries, salads, pizzas, etc. Their daily specials seem to be good. I started with gin and tonic (they didn't have black rum for a dark and stormy which was the only let down of the evening). Had a double cheeseburger (smash burger) for dinner with wedge fries. My wife had the regular fries with her Press burger, and they were awesome!! Better than my wedge fries, which were also cooked perfectly. The homemade ranch was a huge selling point. We both ate and drank for $46 before tip. Server was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back. I'm intrigued by the smoked pork sandwich and will be trying that next. read more

Picture it: Sunday, noon, slightly rainy and overcast, my wife and I want tacos. Never having been to Barrio Tacos at 5th Avenue and Grandview Avenue, we head over. It's closed. We walk down the street to the Peruvian sandwich shop we like. It's closed. I notice Press Pub a little farther down the street and suggest we walk on down to it. It's open, and there is no wait! We had never eaten at Press Pub before, so we didn't really know what to expect. One glance at the bourbon menu told me that I'd have to come back again sometime -- I can't really do bourbon in the middle of the day, but their selection has me wanting to go back again tonight. So, instead of bourbon, we both ordered the cheeseburger, and I ordered onion rings to share. There were maybe 12 or so other people when we arrived, but they must have arrived basically at the same time -- it took a little while for our food to come out, though the servers were in a constant back-and-forth taking food out to people. We didn't have a super long wait, and there were some entertaining things to see on the tvs. I did notice that the sandwiches being served to other people were huge, and I started to think that I should have ordered one of those instead of a burger. However, when our burgers arrived, I was actually really happy. Some restaurants serve burgers that are so large that one feels lethargic for the rest of the day after eating them. That is not the case at Press Pub. The burger was the perfect size! It filled me up but did not make me feel super full and lazy afterward. And it was only $5.50! The onion rings were also really good. As we sat there eating, the place began to fill up, and we were glad we had arrived when we did. In the end, I'm quite happy that the other places were closed and we wound up at Press Pub. It was comfortable, the servers were nice, and the food was really good. I'll definitely be back! read more

I've been coming here and the other location for close to a decade but recently with new staff changes, I can see the quality and friendliness of staff got a major hit at the grandview location. The place is half empty, the bar is all empty yet the host is telling me she is checking if she has a waitlist. She asks how many when clearly I am the only one. I asked her is it required I bring someone else a friend cause I can I live around the corner. Dumbfounded is the look she gave me. I point at an empty corner table ask if I can get that since there's no waitlist . I get another dumb look with a corny smile. Then a minute later she says I can sit there while I wait for my friend. Here's the catch. I had no friend coming I was being rhetorical with her since she was acting like a rude dummy not wanting to give me a table by myself. At that point, I felt like she was looking at me as a predator and I knew I'd probably get shitty service if I sat there, so I saw myself out. Such a shame for this gem. Used to have some of the friendliest people working there, now all bunch of rude clueless airheads who probably hate their jobs. Learn how to be welcoming and friendly you might actually keep a customer. read more

We recently tried Press for the first time. I ordered the turkey rachel. It was good. The menu is large, both food and drinks. I was surprised that even though they have quite an extensive list of beer, they didn't have any non-alcoholic options. It was also more casual than I expected. read more

My friend was craving a burger so we decided to stop by on lunch. He is the pickiest person I've ever met, he ordered a plain cheeseburger on Texas toast and hasn't stopped talking about it since we left. I got a burger as well and it was delicious as well. Because of his obsession with this burger he has us stop by Friday as well. I got calamari as an appetizer which was not very good, extremely chewy and off putting, another friend ordered loaded cottage fries which were heavenly. They also have daily specials which is pretty cool too. Service was alright, they seem to be very short staffed which I'm not going to knock them for during these difficult times. Still giving 5 stars because of how much my friend loved it. Will most definitely be back. read more

Haven't been in so long. Used to go to the short north location all the time. This place never fails. The specials are great. I follow them on Twitter and they always post delicious food pics but I have to exercise restraint. Ordered the cuatro tacos this time, never had it before, but it was delicious and what I needed. No regrets. Beef was saucy and perfectly seasoned. Followed it with a tequila shot and a modelo. Sat at the bar and the bartender was super attentive. My friend got the steak special, a NY strip. I had a bite, it was such a steal for 12 bucks. Coming back for their thanksgiving dinner special soon! read more
