Super love this place!! Seriously best place in Columbus!! Staff is awesome. Place is like a dive bar but so friendly. Food all looks good that came out of the kitchen (sat right by window). AMAZING just go!! I'd definitely go again and again. Literally would only come to Columbus to come to this bar!! Has free parking!!!

Disappointing meal. Service was great and we had high hopes on Sunday at 1pm. Fried food came out dark brown! Oil needs replaced, or temp lowered. Fish and chips were so dark. The breading was so thick and rock hard. The chips were almost inedible. Family's fries were just as dark brown, even the bun was extra krispie. Husband said the Reuben was just ok.

Great Deal! A Full Platter Of Fish And Chips With Cole Slaw For Just $14.95. **I Asked For Extra Tartar Sauce And She Hooked Me Up!**

Five stars. Five reasons. Review based on lunch / daytime visits... 1. O'Reilly's is a cool boozy hangout that caters to an older locals crowd. It's a certified dive wirh an Irish theme that's got that Thurman's, India Oak Grill, Mama's Pasta and Brew kind of vibe. 2. Bartenders? Jill is the fun one. She'll say almost anything with a salty sassiness that really lights the place up. I've also met another bartender who's also super nice but she has a little more down to earth, down to business way of doing things. 3. They've got a pretty impressive menu with wallet friendly prices. There's all kinds of burgers, subs, sandwiches with a big selection of the usual deep fried bar food you'd expect. 4. Their daily specials are pretty sweet too and they are a big hit with all the locals that come in. Look for it by the kitchen door. 5. The jukebox. Im guessing it was last updated around 1998 or so. That's not a bad thing as it's a cool eclectic mix of retro music that just fits the place. ***Please note my personal thank you to the staff and management for not having it cranked up to 11. Go there if you like good hearty food in an authentic dive... And I Have To Give You My Thoughts On Some Of The Food I've Tried... Rachel: Aka Turkey Reuben. It's a freaking awesome sandwich with just the right amount of savory goodness. Get the fries with it. Fish and Chips: It's a solid meal. It's a big portion that tastes great and it will fill you up for a reasonable amount of USDs. Veggie Sub: As good as anyone elses. I'm happy their's come with chips and a pickle spear at no extra charge. Wings: They come breaded and sauced. No joke, these are seriously the biggest wings I've ever seen! Celery and ranch/bleu cheese are an upcharge. Chili: Mark K got this and had nothing but good things to say about it. Ruben: Pat E's choice for a great lunch! ***Thanks to Pat E. for introducing me to this place! I'm looking forward to another meet up. SOON!

I hate leaving 5 star reviews. It seems dishonest and lazy. This place is a dive bar feel that is probably a popular local spot. The service is not super speedy, and there was one person service the entire place - bar and all, but she was so friendly and fun. I'm amazed at how she keeps this place in order by herself. Additionally, she made the experience so fun! I was looking for a good burger and landed on O'Reilly's. I ordered a side of onion rings and also a pepper burger with fries , while my girlfriend went with the jerk burger. There was no discussion on how i wanted it cooked, but toppings were asked. My burger was so intensely good that this might be the best burger I've had yet in Columbus. The onion rings were perfectly cooked. Everything about our burgers was fresh and just delicious. I have a new favorite burger spot. This is a perfect dive bar feel with an outstanding kitchen and truly amazing and friendly staff. This is an example of what makes Columbus dining so great! This is a hidden GEM!

I've heard my brother talking about this place and "The Pepper Burger" for years. We met up today for lunch there. What a great little place, decorated with a mix of Columbus sports memorabilia and other odds and ends. Our waitress was great, asked us for our order right away, two pepper burgers, an ice tea and a PBR. It took awhile for our burgers to come out, no big deal, we bullshitted and the wait was worth it. The burger was cooked perfectly, it is covered with cracked pepper corns, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. That's all sitting on a fresh bun. It came with a side of potato chips and a dill spear. I will definitely have this burger again. I have to try the Rueben though, I overheard someone saying it's the best they've ever had.

Do they have a trivia night?

I've been there many times over the last 5 years and have never seen nor heard of any trivia night.

Is this a 21 and over place?

Not exclusively. We take our underaged daughter there for dinner frequently.

McClellan's Pub delivered a plate of Fish & Chips so good I briefly considered applying for dual citizenship with Ireland and Great Britain just to honor both sides of the dish. Perfectly crispy, piping hot, and seasoned like the chef whispered sweet nothings to the fryer. The whiskey selection? Huge. Titanic. Practically its own ZIP code. But not a drop of Powers. , A tragedy Shakespeare himself would've rewritten entire scenes for. So, like any self-respecting Irish-at-heart patron, I defaulted to good old Jameson--reliable, comforting, and always there for you, like that one friend who helps you move because they "actually like lifting things." I also grabbed to-go orders for the home tribe: bourbon meatballs, prime rib sliders, and meatloaf. The feedback? Universal acclaim. They devoured everything like I'd brought them a peace offering after years of conflict. If McClellan's ever launches a catering service, entire families could be reunited. The place was packed through Happy Hour and well beyond--apparently, half of Columbus had the same idea. If popularity is a metric of quality, this pub is basically Beyoncé. Temperature-wise? A bit chilly. Could've been the weather... could've been the pub... could've been the frigid realization that they were this close to having my favorite whiskey. Hard to say. Bring a jacket just in case. All in all, McClellan's is a rock-solid choice for hearty pub eats, stellar vibes, and enough whiskey to make you forget they didn't have the one you wanted.

Green are always fresh and I just enjoy it. Wednesday is their half price fish & chips special. Two larges pieces of cod battered and deep fried to perfection! Served with fries and a small sides of tarter sauce and a delicious vinegar based slaw. Today I ordered my fish blackened and grilled. This option is not on the menu but was a yummy and healthier option. McClellan's is tucked away in a shopping plaza at the corner if Snouffer and Sawmill behind a bagel shop. They have a lovely patio on the side of the building if you want to sit outside. Inside is a european style pub with old liquor bottles for cold water on the table. We regularly visit McClellans and recommend that you check them out!

Great for finding some food before attending a show at one of the nearby theaters. The menu is what I would best describe as comfort, food. Arrived approximately 3:30pm - restaurant basically empty (maybe 5 tables total occupied). Went to check in for 2 and the host said he had reservations at 5. Huh? So I asked do you mean you can't seat us until 5? And he said no, that we need to leave by then because other people are coming. I thought that was very weird and unprofessional. I've never had an experience like that before. It's a basic sit down place, why would you think we'd linger for more than an hour and a half? Whatever, weird feeling, but we were seated. Seated in the walkway. Not like in a path but literally blocking the walkway where you step down. Why do I say this? Because people walking by kept banging into me. Not their fault. Why is there a table there? And why were we seated there when at least 80% of the restaurant was empty???? Ok whatever. Ordered food including their signature made in-house tots. Waitress comes back and says they were slammed in the morning and they're out of tots. (Man I feel bad for the people coming at 5. LOL) whatever except the people at the next table appeared to be served tots. Food was tasteless. The Mac and cheese had a weird texture like the roux wasn't cooked properly. My patty melt was mostly bread as the patty was too small for the bread. My husband had the signature chimi burger and it completely lacked any chimichurri flavor. Like at all. We were out by 4ish (plenty of time for them to prepare for their expected onslaught) and needless to say I've unbookmarked this place from my yelp. Maybe we'll try the Mexican place across the street next time. ‍
