Last time we ate here it was the same day as a local event. The restaurant ran out of chicken and it took an hour for our food to come out (our child's meal as well). We went today for Father's Day, about six months after the last sub par experience, hoping it would be better. Somehow they ran out of chicken again?! AND lemonade, and they had no kids menus left. Food took forever. I ordered a glass of wine that never arrived - and when we got our check it's just a tablet with a price. We wanted to leave so I didn't even check to see if the wine was still on there. Food was cold, salad was soggy, burger was very meh. For $150 it was overall a bad experience for the second time in a row. Definitely spend your money at any of the other local restaurants in town. read more

I visit Columbus/Dublin a couple of times a year for work. I walked in from the rain with a co-worker on a Wednesday night a little after 9:00pm - after trying to visit "No Soliciting". "No Soliciting " is a bar we found online - but didn't realize is a private club for members only. We tried The Pearl next door. They were closing in minutes. So we found that North High was the next closest place that closed at 10:00pm. We were also desperate for a restroom. We walked in - the place was devoid of customers - and the bar tender was NOT happy to see us. She had a very long day - and was yearning to "Just. Go. Home." We've all been there. She agreed to let us have one drink in plastic cups - completely understandable. But she messed up by letting us stay - completely underestimating the level of style & charm (not to mention handsomeness) my colleague and I possess *wink* . "One drink" turned into a handful. A good time was had by all. We hated that we had an early morning the next day - and had to return to our hotel well before we would have liked. I will make North High a "mandatory stop" on future visits (alongside my other "mandatory stop" - The Rusty Bucket for their buffalo chicken sandwich - with an extra side of buffalo). Side note - she gave me a taste of their Bloody Mary mix. *VERY* good. I used some of my dashing character and disarming baby blues to swindle them out of a bottle for only $15. It was worth $50. But this was a one-off deal. Don't walk in there expecting the same courtesy - unless you too possess unmatched panache & flair *finger guns*. read more

We had just finished car shopping and needed a quick meal. This brewery/restaurant is located right across the river from the Acura dealership... which is why we ended up here [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty crowded. I ordered fish and chips. Zach let us sample a lot of their beer. Which is nice cause then you can determine exactly what you like. We chose Christmas Clark and some seasonal nitro beer. I really wanted to like this place because the food was actually very good, but the service completely ruined the experience. We waited about 10 minutes before anyone even came to take our order, and after that our waiter only checked on us once the entire time we were there. It became so frustrating that we ended up taking our food to go instead of staying to eat. The kitchen did a great job, but the front-of-house service needs major improvement. We tried this place for the first time and we will not be going back. The service was so incredibly slow. It took 25 mins after we sat down to get drinks and the food ended up taking even longer. The food was ok but nothing special. The kimchi cheesecake was just fine but I wouldn't get it again but the fries were excellent. The buffalo grilled chicken sandwich was good but not as good as Rooster's version. We tried all three pirogies and I only really liked the sauerkraut one. My last time I reviewed North High was after a particularly bad experience. My friends and I had sat on the patio for an hour or so at a table the host seated us at and never had any service. Since then I have always been a little hesitant to visit. Thankfully my last experience was way better. The host was nice and accommodating. We eventually moved to the bar and had excellent service from the bartender. He was very attentive and even gave my friend a small flight size beer for free. I visited North High on a Saturday when they were serving brunch. I ordered Avocado toast and a side of bacon. The breakfast was quite tasty. The toast was light and refreshing and bacon is always good lol. Glad I gave them another chance! read more

It was very loud. I couldn't hear any conversation with my table mate unless if we were yelling. There is outdoor seating that may be more quiet but it was too hot to dine outside the day we went in mid-summer. The sweet potato fries were cold. The salmon BLT was pretty good though. My sister got the fish and chips. She said it was very dense and chewy. I thought this was the first time there but I had forgotten that I had been to North High Brewing for a holiday party before. We have been to North on High several times in the last year. Nico the manager was/is amazing. He wasn't there when we went there tonight. The place is so different than our last visit. The good news is the food is still great. However, the management and staff are so different. There was one obnoxious customer who they called 911 on - not sure of the issue -but he did seem rude and overly loud. I think he left before the police showed up. The young man who I think was the manager was very wary of the rude customer. He spent a lot of time in the back room looking through the window at the situation.The bartender seemed extremely overwhelmed. There were also several waitresses (some clearly in training) doing a lot of nothing. The biggest issue was the service. When we sat at the bar, and a finished, unattended plate and drinks were left on the bar for at least 45 minutes. Clearly the patron was long gone. We had our appetizer and dinner and no plate was ever cleared. Both my husband and I worked in food service and we both felt lack of attention to the patrons was glaring . We had an awful experience here around the holidays. We had booked a party for 20 people and when we show up, they had everything in the wrong place. Not a big deal...what was a big deal was the manager. Absolutely the worst customer service. He made it VERY clear that we were a burden to him. Twenty people....food, drinks and one tab. Didn't matter to him. I vowed to not go back. Today a friend suggested meeting there. I agreed on the idea I'd give it another chance. We waited to be seated (at 2:30 in the afternoon) for several minutes. Finally someone came and promptly stated "looks like I'm the only one working." Our server was delightful and the one beer I had was good. After paying I asked to speak to a manager. Waited and waited and they never came. Was told they would, but they didn't. North High is always a good spot. We've been for brunch and happy hour or just for a beer and never had a bad experience! My husband is a fan of their beers and usually they have a sour I will go for or a cider. They have a pretty large patio out front and seating inside, upstairs and downstairs! I will say though, it is very loud inside on the main floor when they are busy. Too loud to hear the person across from you is not my thing so I often try to grab a seat elsewhere in the building if it's busy. Last time we were there, I had the Honey Wheat Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was soooo good! We also enjoy their Fried Pickles and North High Burger. Their Happy Hour is currently Monday - Friday 3-6pm. $2 off: year-round beer, wine by the glass, house cocktails and munchies. read more

I made a reservation here before heading to ZooLights opening weekend! The were able to seat us right away. This was my first time at this location and it's so beautiful and interesting inside. Lots of seating and great private areas for large groups. We were seating in the lower "basement" area, which was great because it was a little quieter for conversation. We ordered two appetizers, cheese curds and pickle chips. Both were fantastic (and a crowd favorite). We all ordered sandwiches/burgers, which came out hot and were large portion sizes! The service was a little slow but we weren't in a rush and it was game day so it really wasn't a huge deal. One person in our group ordered a pineapple spritz which was super strong, not in a good way, which our bartender was kind to offer to remake it or allow to swap for another. I've had 2 great experiences at North High. First was about a month ago for a happy hour through work. We were using the space shared with CoHatch at the back with the garage doors and bar. Bartender was on top of the drink requests and drinks were delicious. I enjoyed a locally made cider and a margarita. We also had some apps available, the pretzel sticks with beer cheese were really good! Then today we had team lunch (12 people) with reservations. North High was able to seat us right away outside in the shade (it was so nice out today!) and our server was great. I tried the fried/hand breaded Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was very good. Not greasy, the avocado ranch and garlic sauce were great additions. The fries had a great seasoning. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, the southwestern quinoa salad seemed to be a favorite as well as a variety of tacos. I'll be back for sure to try other menu items. read more

Stopped in here after spontaneously meeting a friend at the giant corn field. We were seated inside despite asking to be outside because they didn't want to seat people on the patio? But then later on we saw people being seated out there, so... not sure what was up with that. BUT the interior of this place has a nice vibe. We shared a nice jar of pickles (sweet but sour, kind of unique!), my friends really enjoyed their generous chicken salads, and my veggie burger was good. The veg burger was a bit dry (as they are wont to do) so I asked for a side of mayo to help slop it up :) The brussel sprouts were outstanding. Definitely get a side of them if that's your thing! They have a nice variety of beers and ciders here. The cocktail options are pretty basic, but I enjoyed my mint lemonade and mule. I had the opportunity to eat here for an arranged group dinner. There were 10 guests in our party. Our party was placed on the upper level with another large party. I found the atmosphere very load to the point my watch alerted me to protect my ears dues to exceeding 90 decibels. Our server did a great job taking care of everyone with drinks and food service. The kitchen was slow getting food out. Some in our party was served and waited for others to get their food. The temperature of the food could have been much better as well. Popped in here for Burger + Beer week 2020. I've been a fan of North High since they used to be known as "Brüe" (or whatever their first name was) - so I won't talk about their beer here since I keep that to their main location (other than to say - it's good). Their selection seems a bit more limited here (which makes sense - this is food AND beer - not a main brewing location). It's a double-whammy, since this used to be Brazenhead - which is missed, but c'est le vie. They painted the walls white, opened up the space, and in the age of covid, it's spread out a bit, and all the employees are wearing masks, and there are hand sanitizer stations placed by the stairs. But - the whole purpose of this visit - food and beer! Their fried pickles - sliced, homemade pickles - were tasty (albeit - a little greasy)! I was starving and eating them non-stop. The burger! Was simple - pickled onions, homemade pickles. Hit my burger craving - and the fries were nice and cooked perfectly - that perfect level of cooked potato "crunch." All-in-all - a great first visit. I'm a little bummed they don't have the FULL beer listing of the main location (I get it ) - but it's a great spot I'll add to my lunch/dinner rotation (and I want to check out their brunch!) It's definitely changed up enough from Brazenhead as a nice addition the Dublin neighborhood. read more

The new Dublin North High Brewing. We are long time fans of North High. We have been going for years to the Short North taproom. The Dublin restaurant is definitely a whole different experience. It's a different vibe, and whole new menu. The taproom has the same menu now as well, but it's just totally different in Dublin. Love that they have a patio. That's one thing the short north is missing. Just doesn't have the the room. The burgers are delicious. The north high crispy chicken sandwich is great. I love the north high aioli type sauce they created. The sweet potato tots are so good. Little bite sized crispy bites that you just can't stop eating. Love the new Punch Out cocktail. Very winters and yummy. Be aware that the cocktails are not made to order at any of the locations. They are premixed and poured to order. I'm Alittle bummed that they are $8 and are not very big. And lots of ice. But the drink is tasty. The pickles are good. We are SOOOOO still missing the old beer cheese. Man that stuff was the best. Really bummed they changed it. The beer cheese now is just your average beer cheese. The texture of nacho cheese. It's good. But not like what they used to have. The nachos are good. Ask for extra beer cheese cuz they don't give you much if you're a cheese freak like I am lol December 2020 - the winter cocktails are delish!! The espresso martini is amazing!!! I stopped here for brunch with a friend after yoga. The brewery is in the old Dublin Brazenhead location, but it's been lightened up inside and has a bright, airy feeling. Portions were good, my friend had sausage and biscuits, and I had chicken and waffles. The Kitchen runner brought out the incorrect order for me, but our server sorted it out quickly. The chicken was juicy with a crispy breading and a little back heat. It came with both maple syrup and blueberry jam, which was a nice twist. The pineapple and strawberry side was ripe. So when a friend wanted to swing by for a beer and a slice of peanut butter pie, I was happy to oblige. We grabbed a seat at the bar and instead of beer, I ordered whiskey, it was a win, win.
