I am a decedent from northwest Ohio and am very familiar with the maumee bay brewing up there from the food to the beer, the place is just mid if not bad. My expectations of this place was higher than maybe should have been. But as it turns out was very mid. We ordered the wings with garlic parm sauce. They come crisp but severely lack salt and overall flavor. The sauce was basically butter with garlic and parm. I ordered the brisket sandwich and was drawn in my the giardinare and pesto aioli- the idea reminded me of an Italian beef. Went today for lunch and brunch with my family. It was really good!! Two of us had chicken sandwich with truffle fries and it was outstanding. Daughter said it was the best chicken sandwich she's ever had! The truffle fries were perfect! Husband had the walleye sandwich and it was huge! He said the piece he got was a little fishy but really a great value for the money. Son got brunch item he really enjoyed. It was the salmon BLT and he got the house salad. I have been wanting to go to Shawnee station since they opened. I lived in Powell until a few years ago so it's kind of off my beaten path now. My friend is a musician and was playing their last week so it was a good excuse to figure out a way to get there. I met a few friends and had a couple beers. I paid cash with $100 bill and was short changed $20. Accidents happen and I get that, but it was very obvious when he fumbled around with the money that something was weird. My son and I stopped by Shawnee Station Taproom on a Wednesday night and had a great experience. The food was excellent--we shared the focaccia bread appetizer and each ordered a sandwich. The focaccia appetizer was outstanding: plenty of warm bread (half topped with melted cheese), served with a fresh side salad and a perfect lemon-scented olive oil-balsamic dip. It was so satisfying it could easily double as an entrée. The hamburger was fantastic--generous portion of juicy meat with all the classic fixings--and the crispy chicken sandwich delivered great flavor. Both came with really tasty fries. They have an extensive beer selection, the service was friendly and attentive, the noise level was pleasantly low, and the ambiance felt relaxed and welcoming. Bonus: dogs are allowed! Based on what I've tasted from the menu, I prefer the bar or patio seating where I can see games while hanging out. Getting seated was a bit tricky. The only two 4 top tables were directly in the evening sun. There were two high top, 2 seat bar tables but we were not allowed to push them together. The ambiance in the dinning area was not great so we didn't want to sit there. When we were about to leave, they agreed to let us sit at a six top- out of the sun. I've heard very mixed reviews about the food. Everything we had was really good! But it's a bit pricey. My salad was $22 delicious but pricey. My husband tried a beer on tap and really enjoyed it. Great time at Shawnee brewpub. It was just next to the golf course in Dublin. We got a beer flight and the blue crab pimento cheese dip to start. The cheese dip came with celery, pork rinds and pita bread. It was a big portion and the pork rinds were unique and homemade too. We got the foraged Pizza and the panko crusted walleye for dinner. We ate here for the first time last week. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails, two apps, and dinner. The food was fantastic and a decent serving size. The Service was excellent with no issues at all. We were checked in on regularly by the entire bar crew. They were each friendly and quick to take care of us. After 20 we went to the host stand for menus and then got the bartenders attention: she ended up over charging us and neither her or the manger would listen to us explain what was wrong meaning they had to correct the bill 3 different times. A great addition to this area and neighborhood! Since the Bogey Inn closed, this side of the bridge has needed a local watering hole. Since this strip and building is a brand new construction, I felt like the layout and ambiance captured the restauranteur's true visions for the business. It's currently run by the owners of Maumee Bay Brewing Co. in Toledo, so it combines Maumee Bay beer brews with a full bar and an upscale gastropub menu. Inside, you are immediately greeted by an area for pick up, a fridge of their beer, and a hostess desk where they will seat you either in their main dining room, four seasons patio or outdoor patio. The main dining room features an open kitchen and bar view with an elevated vibe with rich woods, leather booths and warm lighting. The four seasons area us currently enclosed with plastic covers (which isn't the most attractive, but effective in keeping the space wind free and warm). It's focal point is a large fireplace and a large screen TV, playing sports when I arrived. Lastly, the patio seating wrapped around a large fire pit viewing out to the street and parking lot. Perhaps some greenery division might enhance the space. My friends and I arrived on a Sunday, & the place was packed! We were told that they do not accept reservations at this time so seating was on a first come first serve basis. We decided to have drinks out on their patio area while we waited for our table, which does not accommodate food service. We tried three different flights, & had a very enjoyable time. Our table was ready around 45mins later, and we were seated in their Fourseason patio area. My entire table had a hard time deciding what to eat because there were so many great options on their menu! It turns out three out of the four of us chose their Panko walleye sandwich . Some of us decided to substitute their Parmesan truffle fries for their sweet potato fries. I got to try both and they were both excellent. One of my friends even commented that it was the best sweet potato fries she'd ever had, so it's a definite must try if you like sweet potato fries. The sandwich was humongous and delicious! It's a very hearty choice with the bread, fry breading, AND fries. I wish there was more of the jalapeño slaw or maybe a flatter bread choice for the dish. I was only able to finish half of it. It's definitely a great value and the fry was executed perfectly, leaving the walleye still moist inside. I was envious of some nearby tables that had some of their 'Must Trys'. Some of the most notable being their giant Bavarian pretzel, suspended on a rod with sides of honey mustard and beer cheese, their blue crab pimento cheese dip, served with house-made pork rinds, naan, celery, and green onion. Place was packed at 4:30pm on a Friday full of senior citizens hanging out trying to feel young, looking at you all you Muirfield Village geezers. Parking lot was full. Happy hour is limited to the bar area so watch out, bar was packed so we had to sit in the dinning room to get food before our kids turned into Gremlins, so no specials... I expected a better/bigger selection of beer being a brewery, but it's hard to beat a $6 Glass Hopper, even though it's in a short poured "16 oz pint"... The atmosphere was nice, but it has no identity. You have sports on the two TVs and Wheel of fortune on the big screen, Wheel of fortune, really? Food is average at best, it's nothing to go out of the way for, since you have similar food establishments around. The poor service is the most that stands out, there was a 30 minute wait, however multiple table were open. It would be easy to seat multiple parties of two and four without the wait. The service is slow, I mean really slow, our waitress didn't check on us after the food was served and two dishes with fries and we had to ask for ketchup. I asked for a print of the receipt and she quickly disappeared to troll for tips at other tables that were ignored. The only time our waitress was attentive was when I was paying the bill. The table near us ordered milkshakes and one was 1/3 empty with lots of whip cream one was overflowing with no whipped cream, obviously no attention to details.
