Staff/ambiance/menu 5/5 stars, great all around. Food, 3/5. The pretzels which are talked highly of are too aromatic, so if you're sensitive to herbs/toppings maybe skip this. Our food, two sandwiches, came out burnt and missing ingredients. Our server, once she realized the issue, was quick to fix it. However by this point we had nibbled enough on the food to not be hungry for seconds. They ended up sending us to our hotel with to go orders and comps on the bill. Service - EXCELLENT My sis and I shared a plate and they were so nice to bring two separate plates and split perfectly. The sandwich was ok. The chicken as you can see in the pictures was so thin. Just not a good bread 2 chicken ratio. Parmesan fries were just ok too. The appetizer comes with the 2 aiolis. Nice you can get the parm fries as your side. 101 has never let me down! I love that they change their menu seasonally so every time we go in there's something new. And I've never had a bad meal here. The servers are friendly and we are usually seated immediately without a reservation which is getting rarer these days. This trip I splurged and got the steak. Pretty tender and the potato croquettes that it came with were SO good. Like perfection. I also got their seasonal peppermint espresso martini. Very strong! While 101 Craft Kitchen doesn't have an extensive menu for brunch, what they offer is pretty good. On our latest visit we got their Croque Madam, artichoke and crab eggs Benedict, and their candied bacon. All delicious. The server was super friendly and the restaurant is very comfortable. I used to think that this place was overpriced bar bites, but now the menu selections are perfectly priced and there are so many options to choose from. We were very impressed at the number of items we could now order (in the past, it was just a salad). You know I've always enjoyed their meals here. But we went to dinner on a Friday night and our meal took forever to come out. At least 30 minutes. The server and manager kept apologizing. I wish it didn't take so long as I was starving. They gave us free fries to munch on which was nice. We got the fish and chips and the Parmesan chicken sandwich. Which isn't crazy dishes to make. It's been a minute since we've enjoyed 101. Always walk away wondering why we don't return more often to this convenient and very well run establishment. With all the great happy hour options now available in the Dublin area, this one was unbelievably missed...until last night. For under $40 after tip we enjoyed a half price beer ($3.50) and cocktail ($6!) and split 3 half price apps (~$6 each!!!). We arrived just as HH was starting at 4 and the bar area quickly filled over the next hour. Service was impeccable though our flat bread and crab dip toast were not piping hot, they were still delicious and not so cool to warrant removing a star. Tots were solid as always. 101 has been a favorite for so many years, especially the Sawmill location. We actually had hooked my older parents on it too. After visiting last week, the menu was significantly different and many favorites were gone. Personally feels like it is evolving into more of a sandwich shop was tasteful entrees. Our favorite entree was a staple - Shrimp and Grits. Gone! Salmon Gone! Will try it again in a few months to see if anything preferred returns, but definitely off our regular rotation. Restaurant remains clean. Servers were nice and polite but definitely not as engaging, energetic, or attentive. Given our prior loyalty, we also notice a big turnover in staff too. Bartenders, servers and even managers were different. Hopefully on our next visit , 101 can show why we loved it for so long and expect it. Sorry - we have high expectations now!!! read more

Smoked + fried wings were smoky and juicy and delicious. For a main dish I had NY Strip Steak Frites. It was cooked to order and seasoned super well. The frites were little seasoned cooked potatoes that were delicious. I couldn't resist getting homemade chips and French onion dip - I never see that in a restaurant! Slipping.. It sucks, i have been here twice over the past 2 months, and both times was super disappointed. They have changed the food, the portions are much smaller and the pricing has increased, I am also no longer convinced they cook to order, a lot of the food now tastes microwaved or heated under lamps. A good way to tell this is a hot plate, and my plates the past two times were blazing hot while the food was only warm. I really wish this wasn't true, but i doubt I will go back at this point, it was a nice spot, but i can microwave my own food a lot cheaper. read more

We hosted a birthday dinner here this past Saturday during Restaurant Week. The service was great and the food was fine, but the restaurant was experiencing kitchen equipment issues and was not able to deliver many of the items we had expected to order. This was not alerted prior to our arrival despite having reservations through OpenTable. We only learned of the limitation after being seated. Choosing to go elsewhere was not an option for our group size on such short notice. The issue is that the restaurant made no attempt to "thank" us for accepting their limitations and actually charged us a $5 upcharge to provide mashed potatoes as a side to replace the fries they couldn't make. We were expected to pay full price plus and be happy with whatever 2nd or 3rd choices we could find on the menu. I completely understand equipment breakdowns, but it would seem smart for any business to offer some sort of concession in this situation to encourage patron loyalty. Arrived shortly after 5pm on Thursday and got seated right away. It took about 5 mins for a server to show up. Ordered a couple cocktails... the Midnight Manhatten was served on the rocks instead of up, but it was tasty. Still not the reason for the low score. I ordered fish and chips and asked if they had malt vinegar (they did). But when the food came out another 5 minutes went by before I could ask the server to get the malt vinegar. And the fish and chips were... not trustworthy? There is one piece of fish, but it is large and dense. I'm not sure what kind of fish it was... but it cooked unevenly and wasn't flakes, but somewhat chunky. The chips were soggy and limp (before the malt vinegar). This is the reason for the low score... and even though we've been there many times, one bad visit tends to be the last chance. I have to wonder if the ownership has changed with the name? read more

101 Beer Kitchen is a solid spot! After hearing good things, I finally made it in on a Friday evening. It was pretty empty around 4pm but picked up pretty quickly after awhile. I tried the frost bite sangria which was pretty good. Our table ordered the tots and soft pretzels for appetizers. I was a big fan of the tots, I see why they are so popular! The soft pretzels themselves were good as well, the dip was just okay. It's more of a spread than a dip. I ended up ordering the grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup for dinner. **Columbus Trip** helped move to a new part of town, and this was the first spot I picked from Yelp in the new area. They do take reservations on their website, not on OpenTable. It's located within the Kroger shopping center area, you can't miss it. Food; Started with the Whipped Ricotta Dip, and let me tell is never had anything like it and it was so good, creamy dip with perfectly toasted baguettes. Also, we started with the deviled eggs, and they prepared perfectly and yummy. The main dish we shared the crispy lemon chicken, and it was perfect typically comes with two breast patties, the chicken was cooked to perfection. Will for sure go back. And just like that...it's the 101 Beer Kitchen I know and love! After a really disappointing experience a few months ago, the manager reached out and asked us to try again (top notch move). We decided a Saturday night date-night at the bar would be the move. First off, service was excellent. Something very much lacking last visit. The bartender was attentive and friendly. She smiled a lot and never seemed flustered even though she was very busy. Beer was ice cold and delicious. I've always appreciated their unique selection of draft beer. I had the burger. Cooked perfectly with plenty of pickles. The fries were just the right amount of done and seasoned perfectly. My husband ordered the creole walleye (never saw him ordering that) and raved about how good it tasted. I had a bite of the polenta it comes served on and it was crispy and tasty. He devoured the entire meal. This type of service and food is how I remember 101. Went here with friends after work for happy hour. It's the holidays and I've been eating out a lot so decided to try something healthy-ish. Got the Casado Bowl which had the most unique flavors, black beans, turmeric rice, avocado, plantains, red onion, tomatoes, mango chutney, hot pepper sauce and cilantro - so much yumminess! I last wrote about this place NINE years ago? And never updated? There's dozens of beer pairings, dinners, happy hours, lunches that have taken place here. The growing footprint, the changing in staff, chef promotions - they have come to a point where they ALWAYS have something delicious on the menu (summer time - southern BLT is delicious!). They keep the menu tight, the food on point. My one, and ONLY complaint is that their deviled eggs this year are off - they're not nailing the prosciutto this season. The food was fine, but I'm mostly impressed with the kids menu. I'm always on the lookout for restaurants with a good kids menu, because a good kids menu means that I, a parent who just wants to enjoy my meal and a beer, can relax because my kids are content. The kids menu at 101 Beer Kitchen comes with lots of options. Kids can pick one main dish: pretzel dog, mac & cheese, chicken tenders, fried cod, cheeseburger or grilled cheese; one side: celery and ranch, watermelon, green beans with ham, mandarin oranges, fries or kettle chips; a drink: white or chocolate milk, lemonade, apple juice, soda or root beer; and one treat: chocolate chip cookie or puppy chow. Kids like to feel like they have agency over their food choices, and this menu gives it to them. The kids meals are also served on a cafeteria tray, and all of the food is neatly separated into its own sections, which my kids like. The regular menu is fine, and I got the loaded tots with a beet salad on the side. Be aware that they put a lot of sauce/dressing on the beet salad -- so much that the greens were swimming in sauce. If I ordered this again, I'd ask for the dressing on the side. I was kind of surprised that there weren't very many local beers available on tap. They do have a lot of beer options, just not local. For a place that's called 101 Beer Kitchen, I would have thought that they'd have more Ohio beers! Oh well. read more

There was just the right amount of bacon that had been drizzled with a light sauce and pineapple, in addition a heap of whip cream and in season strawberries on top. I have always loved 101 beer kitchen. It's been awhile since I've been, but my recent visit made me remember how much I love it. First off, the tots are exceptional- my family and I talk about them often, that's how legendary they are. I loved the avocado toast- on sourdough bread and with a beet sauce- yum! My dads grilled cheese and tomato soup was so good, I know what I'll be ordering next time I visit. Love the beer list, and great service every time. read more

Went here for lunch today and got a Margherita flatbread and my friend got their signature burger. Server was friendly but slow, however, drinks stayed full! The flatbread was ok, but I would not get again. To me it was very dry and lacked flavor but it would be big enough for two to share. My second time here and even better than the first time. We came for the Restaurant Week menu, sat at the bar and had fabulous service by Abdul. It was also Happy Hour, which was $2 off drinks - we had beer & wine. I asked for Riesling and was warned it was a drier variety - the brand was Wente. I said that was fine, and it was really good. We split the special menu and for the 3 courses we chose the Tomato Bisque with mini grilled cheese, Trout Almondine with quinoa and green beans - the Amaretto Butter Sauce really made the dish! - and Gingerbread Cheesecake, which sounded good, but then we thought the Chocolate Cake would have been better. No worries. I finished off the Trout the next day for lunch and it was still spectacular. We will be making it here for future nights out. read more
